@@blairg5953 No shortage of times where I’ve had limited time and had to choose what to watch, then passed over some higher rating channels to watch some Hackshop gold. So good.
Im going to say a 10.4. These videos have been awesome and inspired me to get EF Fairmont Ghia which im getting things organised to turbo. Thanks heaps fellas.
Absolutely love the XE guys. My first car was an XE and I have always wanted to turbo one but couldn't afford something of this quality. Love your work, love the intech and I really love the big ass turbo hanging off the side of it. I hope you are bringing it to the Bend, I can't wait to see the XE and hear her whine!!! I'm guessing 10.2 e.t , no prep track!
10.2 I reckon. Which means one run at Calder and see ya? The fuse, my VF Commodore has a 300a main fuse but that runs lots of systems. Will blow out though if earthed long enough. The level of dedication to smash this out makes me want to finish my car on the hoist that only needs intake plumbing, an exhaust made, tailshaft modified, gearbox mount fabricated, plugs terminated at the engine side, dash in, suspension swapped, and a few other things no doubt like radiator, intercooler and AC condenser mounting and the like. But I just need to get other projects done first. And work full time on it for two weeks.
I was going to mention the 150amp fuse, but I didn't want to be that guy. We had the exact same issue with the MX5 years ago. We bypassed it and never went back.
I reckon the 6 banger was the right way to go. Most back in the day were 6’s anyway. If you were lucky you had the XD 351. Don’t miss the door handles 😆
That came out great. The SOHC looks great in the bay and sounds awesome. Personally I really liked the black S pack vinyls. Maybe remake them in the same font style with a HS.
Sounds like the XE wants to take on the world! I reckon you guys will take it easy first off, but I reckon she'll average low 10's & if it's running perfect, possibly high 9's.
Love how you guys are spreading like wild fire, the cars you are working on are premo era cars. Everything from Gemini to Fairlane (RIP TBA haha). Appreciate you guys time aside from your general duties thru the week. You would get drained pretty well each week!
Awesome to see the cool single cam XE falcon come together what a cool Journey watching you men make it happen !!!! How cool is this car to see the flames 🔥 crank out the pipe is amazing I have a saas wood grain steering wheel on my Ute but it’s the older version I want one like yours it looks way better great job can’t wait to see you test this cool falcon out ☺️⚙️🔧
Well done boys. Looking killa. Might have to hit you up about the shifter selector working on the dash. I have the same setup but haven’t worked it out yet 🤔 See you at DC
That was legit emotional 🤣 I'd already seen it started from the shorts yas did but seeing you both react to it was awesome, so happy for ya both. Hopefully Ya's have a fun Hardarse(RIP Harry) and the XE plays the game at DC👍🍻
The happiness here is contagious. We've been along for the ride 30 minutes at a time. You've been along for the ride the whole way. I can't imagine how long you both spent on this build, especially with the overhead stress of "oh god are we even gon a get this done", and on top of that you're providing us with some excellent quality content. Now you've got yourself an absolute rocketship of a classic falcon. You're absolute legends and you completely and wholeheartedly deserve this success, good on you both
Hey, fellas. been watching since the start. I must admit I never really got around the fairlane, but I have an xe in the build that was meant to be a minor tidy that has naturally spiralled 😂 so I've been one of many I'm sure watching waiting for updates on Nathan's looking for motivation and let me sat man you have nailed it I was disappointed at first that you weren't doing thw Windsor swap because that's what I have earmarked for mine but yep that turbo 6 is so solid 👌 keen to see this on song. Props
No need to fuse the main battery cable to the starter. Just fuse the main supply to everything else. If you have an isolation switch that is enough for your battery cable. But great work guys I'm sitting here watching from Vietnam.
Great work boys. I've got an XT with the EL diff so I'll be studying your handbrake set up. On a safety note. Please get some flexible piping and get the exhaust outside when your doing the run in work. You'll thank me later in your lives.
Yea, start cables don't have fuses in them. On modern cars they have a 'fuseable' link. It's not really a fuse but just an explosive link that breaks when an accident is detected. Fuseable link is meant for the cable that runs all the rest of the electrics of the vehicle and not the starter.
Its going to run 9's I think. Looks great but sadly I guess being an Old School Blue oval Fanatic , to me it should have had a Cleveland 351 stroked to 393.
Sounds like that starter motor is on the way out Change it before you get stuck as it shouldn’t draw that many amps and it’s putting a lot of load on the battery at initial crank
Congratulations guys, you have done a amazing job with this car, can't wait to see what happens next. Keep up the great work you guys do. Love your work.
Hey Tin Man, from one old guy to another. Much respect for the old school rules, I'm done when the jobs done! Thanks for showing these young blokes how we rock it. Big jobs/customer service are much like making love to a Gorilla, you don't stop when your done you stop when the Gorilla is done!!
Almost feels wrong that this quality a channel isn't in the 6 digit subscribers yet. Killing it guys!
…yet
Yet there's heaps of rubbish channels with 250k subs
Thanks mate, kind of you to say
i agree good job guys I enjoy your content
Correct
This is becoming my favourite youtube channel, the build quality the banter between you guys is awesome

Awesome job fellas! Congrats on getting it all finished. Reminds me of my white XE GL 👌🏼
Im going to say a 10.4. These videos have been awesome and inspired me to get EF Fairmont Ghia which im getting things organised to turbo. Thanks heaps fellas.
Killed it guys! Nice work
Please keep the S series stickers/stripe combo
Awesome awesome effort lads well done
Congrats on getting it done, sounds amazing. I think it will run a 10.3 if it stays at the same power it was in the fairlane.
Mint rig. New number plate, "Notbarra"
If the battery was a little down it would draw more current than normal! Super cool to see an XE build!
Love it.!!
What happens when Classic meets “hold my beer”? XE Sleeper that’s what😎
Great work guys, well done

This is sick!!! The sohc looks great in that engine bay. And spitting flames 🔥 🔥🔥🔥
Well done boys! Only thing I’m disappointed about is there was no celebratory skid! lol
Couldn't knock the smile off my face with a sledge hammer! Well done guys🔥🔥🔥

Top effort guys. Im going to say 10.3 by the end of DC after a bit of Haltec tuning.
Great work guys. I predict a 10.3 @ 129mph.
Amazing achievement boys. Killing it. Your enthusiasm is infectious 👍🏻
Well done gents!!
You guys have killed it!
My guess is a 10.5
That Falcon GL would look absolutely Sic with The Gold Snow Flake ESP rims on it.
I was going to mention the 150amp fuse, but I didn't want to be that guy. We had the exact same issue with the MX5 years ago. We bypassed it and never went back.
Great outcome, nothing beats working with your mate and getting his dream car done, well done
Impressive work fellas!
Mate! I love seeing you both so happy. That sums it all up, working on cars with mates and seeing the results of your work. Excellent 👍
Well done guys 🙂🤌

Huge effort, congrats to you both - loved watching this build. 👏💪
Well done boys! Congratulations.
Looking forward to following you guys progress at dc , well done guys 👌
Great job, guys. Go 9.76.
Always makes me laugh everytime you do a new build and turn the key. You both are so surprised as hell that it starts! 😂😂😂 I reckon 10.2

Fantastic job boys I think maybe 9.99 seconds. The thing is going to kick arse
Car looks great guys. Great work. Sure a V8 sounds great, but the single cam 4L's sound good with the right exhaust.....

Watching bleed brakes- not leaks
Fuel system no leaks thinking wow think a name change is in order then at 17:47 ahh there it is 😂😂😂😂😂

Mid to low 11's me reckons..the XE body should be a bit lighter than the fairlane.
The fuse is only for the protection of the cable not the appliance it's powering.
what radiator are you guys using in this build?
Nice job fellas, you both look very tired tho. Grab a small break before moving on to the next one. Excellent content!!
It sounds like it’s hydrolocking on a cylinder.
Always amazes me how much better the sohc engines sound than the barras.

That last sentence 😂
What did you boys have to do to get teh gear readout? Mine does the same thing and locks it in first
