- Steganography is the hiding of a secret message within an ordinary message and the extraction of it at its destination. Steganography takes cryptography a step further by hiding an encrypted message so that no one suspects it exists. Ideally, anyone scanning your data will fail to know it contains encrypted data.
Cryptography or cryptology is the practice and study of techniques for secure communication in the presence of third parties called adversaries. More generally, cryptography is about constructing and analyzing protocols that prevent third parties or the public from reading private messages; various aspects in information security such as data confidentiality, data integrity, authentication, and non-repudiationare central to modern cryptography. Modern cryptography exists at the intersection of the disciplines of mathematics, computer science, and electrical engineering. Applications of cryptography include military communications, electronic commerce, ATM cards, and computer passwords.

if you open the image file in another program that encodes decodes with its own algorythm will the steganography go away? or at least some parts

I tried changing my proxy dns the way it was specified in the last video. However, I didn't work. Using Anonsurf, I was able to change my proxy addresses to three nameservers - two unknown (which worked) but the top nameserver had address 127.0.0.1 Is this something to worry about?? Does this proxy address target to my location.
My default nameserver had address 192.168.0.1 before using anonsurf.

Tried this on both Kali Linux and Windows 10. Did not work for either one. On windows 10 it kept asking me what I wanted to open the original downloaded file with and I did not know which one to choose because none of them seemed to support the file. On Kali the picture I downloaded would show up on the Kali file explorer, but when I tried to open it with the Stegasuite it was nowhere to be found. Somebody please help it would be much appreciated.
Question, how would the person I'm sending the picture to with a hidden message, read the message? Would I have to provide the password in order for them to read the hidden message?
Can you hide keywords in images using steganography so the content can pop up when someone is searching for those keywords?

Something you could do is maybe like a scavenger hunt and the way to complete the hunt is by using all the tools you have taught us. Like maybe you start us off by giving us a picture that contains a link to website and then the website has something within the inspect element scripts. Something neat like that would be fun
That is a fantastic idea, and i could implement that on to a test server that can be used for practice.
