Not calling the first item The Pan Handler is a huge missed marketing opportunity
Brilliant!
Being chinesse, I doubt they have ever heard that term. Plus that’s a negative term lol
Cute!
That was a pizza place where I lived a long time ago
"Hey, let's but a pan handler."
The Zip Quicker looks like the perfect example of a kitchen gadget that is definitely useful, but probably not _quite_ useful enough to justify the awkwardness of finding a way to store it.
I was just thinking that. I've got uses for it but no where to put it.😂
If I got it I'd have it always on the counter and put the salt and pepper shakers in it until it is needed, no searching
Storage isn’t the only problem.
It is 30 bucks. It should be max 5 bucks.
Small counter top trash bag holder when not in use?
I am seeing another "plus" for the ZipQuicker is that the "freed" hand would be available for using a spoon, spatula, or fork to help move any remaining solutions and solids into the bag.
Yes this! It came to me when I saw there were still chunks of stew left in the pot, grab a spatula and scrape away!
put a cup or other wide mouthed container on the counter, open the ziplock bag, and fold the top of the bag over the mouth of the container, fill, close, no need to buy the gadget.
I recently chopped up my peppers and onions and it was a pain trying to get the pieces into the bag without anything keeping the top open. I was thinking of getting the Zip thing, but as he said, $26 is steep for the product. I generally am not putting liquids into zip bags, so not a need for me.
@@Sillygoosespoofse I've done this, too, however, depending what food you're putting in the bag it can be difficult to get out of the jar once the bag is filled. One of the main features of this gadget is that it is wide all the way from the opening to the bottom. That's the selling pint for me.
@@wrylife57 you honestly have nothing in the house that has a flat bottom and at least two sides high enough to fold the top of a bag over? you REALLY need an EXTRA piece of plastic kitchen equipment? REALLY? cmon.
I think the Pan Buddy is a great idea! I use a wheelchair, so carrying hot pots and pans around the kitchen can get a little tricky sometimes, but I can see this making the process a little easier. I may have to get this for myself!
I think you should try it.
If you get it off of Amazon & it really doesn't work you could always return it.
I'd get it except I'm ok with the pans I have now & I don't really cook all that much anyway. Mostly because my fibromyalgia/auto immune means I can't really clean up until the next day or so.
So mostly I go over to my friends where my grill currently is & he does the cleanup while I collapse on the couch. Before feeling guilty & at least taking the trash out for him.
I tried it. First of all, I have arthritis, and it has to be screwed onto the pan; that really hurt my wrist. And then it didn’t fit on my all clad pan I returned it.
My first thought upon seeing that was that it seems like one of those products that was originally developed to help people with some sort of physical disability, but that they decided to market to the general public as well. Many products that seem "silly" or "unnecessary" come from this kind of situation.
@@AgentOrange96 Yeah, toilet paper wands spring to mind. People mocked those ads heavily, but don't really think about how bad it is to not be able to wipe yourself due to mobility issues, and that simple device can fix it. Genuinely serious quality of life improvement for many people, the inventor should be proud.
For some reason when you were outside with that pan,I just pictured someone looking at housing where you live and the realtor/landlord saying “don’t worry about the guy in 312, he does RUclips or something, so you may see him walking around from time to time”
with a GoCam strapped to his helmet...
Or you will hear him talking but know he is home alone lol
I live next door to a lady who does crafting videos, and besides her being an absolute nightmare who keeps loud ass chickens and has been doing renovations for fucking EVER!
I often hear her practicing her video scripts and hard to pronounce names and words…
She’ll walk by my window like “This is retro reflective self adheri-nope.. self adhesive… This is retro reflective self adhesive vinyl for…” and I’m like… dude. Cmon. lol
Occasionally she films outside too, like she tested some stuff on her car a while back and dragged a bunch of lights and cameras outside, and she’s always spraying smelly crap like paint and stuff outside and I see her pausing to take selfies and video clips where she just does the same thing over and over to get the perfect shot. I’ll be playing with my dog and she’s just blasting spray paint over and over again on a piece that doesn’t even need it because she wants a shot. So I’m just coughing up a lung and trying to run back inside.
I’d much rather live next to this guy… 100%.
The ziplock bag holders would also work pretty well to hold the bags open in the dishwasher, so they can be reused. I have a different set of gadgets that does the same thing, and I probably get 15-20 uses out of each bag. Haven't bought ziplocks in years, and I'm saving a ton of plastic from the landfill. Win win!
Smart! Way easier than by hand. And easier to dry them too.
Plastic Ice Cream Buckets are great for use with zip bags. We use them all the time in our household.
Nice! I suppose any bowl or box that's about the right size would work.
I purchased the ZipQuicker about 2 months ago and they are fantastic. Just as the video showed, they hold the bags open wide and minimize messes. Can’t believe how much quicker and easier it is to store leftovers.
I have problems with my wrists so the Pan Buddy might come in handy. The Flower Power steam release thing is cute. The Zip Quicker can be used for more than one thing. For example, I could stack my boxes of plastic bags inside the Zip Quicker between uses. The small one would be great for holding folded paper napkins. The larger one could hold a small roll of paper towels, or be used to stack paper plates or hold the tops of plastic container lids at a barbecue or picnic.
You need strenght tightening the Pan Buddy. If it is loose on the frying pan handle you risc severe burnings
@@traver1965 I thought that too.
@@marthajohnson2775. Me too. I have buy steel or ceramic pans. Cast iron is way too heavy. I find the first two work just fine.
The pan buddy honestly sounds like such a good help and it's good to know it also fits the Onlypan.
I think even lighter pans can be quite the hassle once they're full of food.
Seeing you walk around with it makes me think this would be really helpful for people the eat outside a lot, transferring the food to the table would be much more comfortable.
I want to get the pot lifter. That would work very well on cast iron pans, very heavy. I do have arthritis, it would be a god send!
I honestly have a couple of the cute pot lid lifters, but I grew up using a wooden spoon propped across the top of the pot with a lid - cheap and very effective! The Daisy thing for $10 - nope! And I’m a kitchen gadget, etc. person!!!
If someone wants a cheap alternative to the zip, get a wire shelf, from dollar store or the $1.25 store, with proper length for the height of the bag you use (like for lockers, or can find similar kitchen cabinet one) and turn it upside down. Those wire easily bendable yet sturdy enough to change width to hold open the bags. I prefer those other bag openers and holders over the zip because they are collapsible. The zip is just a thin acrylic self turned upside down. Over time stress on bending it will break it.
Great video!
I have no use for the Pan Buddy, but that seems like a great idea for those who need it.
Love the Zip Quicker, but at that price, I'll DIY it. No chance I pay anywhere close to that for such a simple product. In fact, I wouldn't even bother waiting for it to go on sale, because it would likely still be too high.
Not sure if I really do need those gadgets, but if I do … 😅 the first thing I will need is a large kitchen with lots of storage spaces for all the different gadgets 😂
My big question with the Zip Quicker is how many fillings it will last for being bent like that. Most kinds of plastic will weaken over time and eventually break from doing that too often.
I’m all about the Pan Buddy! I do have arthritis and I love my cast iron skillets. That’s going on my Amazon list.
I like the Zip Quicker too, but I’d get it on sale. I could store in in my wraps/baggies drawer by putting the boxes of them inside the two Quickers.
I would hesitate to use it on cast iron because the handles get hot and may effect the plastic on the pan buddy.
Pan buddy will revolutionize the pan as a weapon in video games lol. Aside from jokes, it looks pretty useful.
If I were ever to meet James in person I can only pray it'd be while he's taking one of his pans for a test drive down the block
My problem with the zip thing is definitely the price, but also I'm not sure that the bendy parts are going to stand up after some usage. Please keep us updated
Yes, I hope they keep us posted
There will be a one year update. He does them which is nice
Yes. $80 Canadian dollars. No thanks.
Lifetime warranty which he didn't mention.
@@dewflower7298
He said he got for 26 American. That is way over the difference between American and Canadian dollars.
You could just use a big mug or tall plastic containters that you already own instead of spending 30 dollars on some bent acrylic. And if you want the plasic bag to stay put, get some cheap paper clips
How do you do the paper clips work??
They make a much better version of that, which he's already reviewed in the past. It was a round base with two extendable arms with clips on the ends of them, and you extend the arms to the size of bag you have. When not being used it all folds flat to go in a drawer.
My family owns one of those (and did for years before he reviewed it) and THAT ONE is fantastic. It was only like $6, too. And it works beautifully.
Holy 💩...$30??? I was interested (my daughter makes her own food for her dog & they would've come in handy to fill the bags) until I saw your comment. That price is beyond ridiculous! 😳
@@munkustrap2 I totally agree absolutely ridiculous.
@@munkustrap2 Completely unrelated but I dig your user pic. I love that DVD and I wish they'd film more Broadway shows like that. 😊
Dang, I like the pan holder and the zip quicker. 2 outta 3 not bad!
Love the quick outtakes at the end, very nice touch. Gives the viewers a bonus for watching all the way to the end.
2:37 Nothing to see here, just a man walking his pan 😂
The Pan Buddy seems good. It makes me wonder why we design our pans to put extra strain on our wrists!
The Zip Quicker seems fine, but I'm sure I could DIY it with some cardstock.
The pan holder would be great for my cast iron ! When that pay is full it take 2 hands to move it safely
@jor2011,freedom ikr mine is too
The Pan Buddy will not melt on cast iron. It is made of a heat resistant material
The Pan Buddy is the same type of handle that revolutionized modern consumer metal detectors. It should be equally as great in the kitchen.
That Zip Quicker works shockingly good.
You're a riot. "Let me walk around with this and see how it works" 😂
The pan buddy looks great since I have nerve damage in my hands. I love the device to fill ziplock bags too.
I always shake my head when people say kitchen devices are a great gift idea as usually they aren't.
Pan Buddy looks like an accident waiting to happen. With buddies like that who needs enemies.
Wonderful reviews! Thank you 🙏🏼
7:48 Sounds like me the morning after some Taco Bell
Great review as always! Mom and I are looking immediately at the ZipQuicker and the Pan Buddy, literally at this moment. She struggles with both, especially anything to do with wrist stuff at the moment... which is ironic, she is an Interpreter for the Deaf, which involves a lot of movement.
Oooo I totally need those bag holders. I've tried various other things like small pitchers or jars and they can get annoying because of the spouts or the jars have tapered rims that can make it hard to get the bags out once filled. These seem so handy and I figure storing some of these will be a lot less to store than trying to store a ton of tupperware with lids. Been wanting to go to all bags for food saving instead but w/o a sturdy way to fill them (due to limited hand mobility) it hasn't been practical until now. What a game changer for me! Going to get rid of (recycle) my cabinet full of disposable tupperwares - these will save me so much storage space!! Not to mention the nightmare of worrying about matching lids to containers anymore. Been looking for a solution like this for a while but those clip baggie holders are just a hot mess and too flimsy. - THANKS for this one!!!
The pan handle makes James look like he is holding a metal detector looking for buried treasure. 🤣 🤣
Great presentation of the information 😄. Thanks for sharing this with me 😊. Hello from Indiana USA and this 62 year old lady.
Would like to have seen the Pan Buddy on an enameled cast iron fry pan. As a healthy gal B'Boomer who cooks a lot, that's the one pan that can be rather challenging when full. However, I like & really could use the Zip Quicker a lot, although your right, it is pricey. Perhaps the price will come down ,some. Couldn't be bothered with the Flower-Power. Although, I was a teen during that fad !😂 Thanks for the video. 🏖Kj in Tampa Bay 🤗
Someone says it mentions it on the box that it's for that. Even though he didn't try it on one.
Love the inclusion of the bloopers at the end 😅 Out of these, the ZipQuicker might be smth i see me buying. Just wish it would fold up for storage.
man, I really like this channel. the pan buddy is a great find.
Always love your videos and thoughts
Awesome to see the pan buddy. my friend was part of the r&d team for the pan buddy and you wouldn’t believe how much names it had before they settled on pan buddy lol
The pan buddy and the zip quicker are two items I will buy. Thanks for the review 👍
🍳Loved your trek outdoors with the frying pan! Do your neighbors think you're nuts🥜?
i love how you just took your pan out for a walk, very cute item
Keep up the bloopers 😂😂
for the ziptop bag holders i worry that the plastic may in time fatigue and fail after repeated uses.
Meanwhile in some States:
That vertical grip turns it into a fully semi-automatic assault pan. Ban it!
Nothing more normal than seeing a guy walking around with a pan strapped to his arm lol love you videos.
The Pan Buddy has the ATF giving it the side eye.
Pan Buddy is such a missed opportunity, it could have been called the Pan Handler.
Great video, James! I will be purchasing the Zip Bag Holder and the arm thing for the pans.
Daisy is cute, but it didn't work!
An easy substitute for the Zip Quicker is a large measuring jug or similar. Also love the Pan Buddy, definitely looks useful for my wrist pain.
"kinda looks like the starship Enterprise" yes! lol. 🤣
Pan buddy looks like something you would misuse and end up in the emergency room with stomach pains lmfao
New video! I get so excited. 😂
Nice video. I liked the pot holder.
Love kitchen gadgets vids!
The pan holder would be great if BloodRayne takes up cooking.
Underrated reference!
Love ❤️ the Hex Clad pan, I love mine.
Great reviews, as always. What are the appliances on the counters. They look like air fryers or toaster ovens.
Ok ok. I like the pan buddy. Ànd you got an instant thumbs up from me just because you mentioned the star ship enterprise. Great review. Live long and prosper.
My favourite part of so many "As Seen on TV" products is that they are often SUPER useful, but often for a small minority
Props for going the extra mile when testing these items. 👍
Great video as always. 8:58 Just quick FYI bone broth has high concentrations of Lead (Pb) in it.
When my parents hit their 80s i'll def consider getting them a pan buddy as a gift.
I may try that first one. It's hard for me to pick up pans after having my wrist get stuck in a revolving door.
I think that the pan buddy would be great for tossing food in a wok for people who have dexterity problems and peple who don't, great review i enjoyed that.
Thank you using the Pan Buddy to poor from a big pot into the ZipQuicker. I have a weak wrist on one hand and I’m super short, so getting the leverage to tip a pot or pan is an issue. 😇 This was super helpful.
The machine gun butt stir fryer looks fun. lol
I'm definitely impressed with the pan buddy and the zip quicker 👍👍
That pan buddy was awedome
I love the third product, definitely going to buy it.
Rocking the Paula Dean cookware💯💯💯
It's fun watching James taking his crockery out for a walk. All are good and helpful ideas and they seem to work. But I wish you had a cast iron pan. I have one. If the Pan Buddy fits, it would be awesome.
it should work fine as cast iron is what it talks about on the box
@@OverkillBillsXbox Thanks! Now that I watch it again I see it. I didn't look carefully enough.
The pan handle, for when you want to make your pans look like a metal detector
The irony that he left food in the pans when using the one gadget that would free up an extra hand to use a spatula or spoon to get it
When I need to carry my big frying pan around the neighborhood, I’m getting one of those pan buddies!
Shout out to the Gotham pasta pot. I bought it years ago because of your review and I love it.
i like the idea of that pan buddy lifter thing hell i might have to get one .
Thank you for your thoughts on these items.
I will take a look at the pan holder for my cast iron pans 👍
I really hope nobody saw you walking around with that pan 😂😂😂
Man, that handle on the Pan Buddy...it, ah, resembles some very different products in design...
Great Video!!
The Pan Handle one was shocking. I'm intrigued by it.
2:40
Ok…you were totally making swish the Enterprise through space sounds, weren’t you!
If you truly want to try the pan buddy out, use it on cast iron skillet.
With rhe Pan Buddy you looked a professional panhandler. ha
Pan Buddy, turn any pot or pan into a tonfa😂
Pan buddy makes for a good makeshift police baton too!
Hoi hun,
- In my country (European country) I can not seem to find or buy the Pan Buddy anywhere and I could use that!!! I have a chronic muscle- and connective tissue and also a bone disease, so pans are most of the time to heavy to handle ;-( Pitty I can not find the Pan Buddy.
- Love the flower although it does not spin; would love that to keep the lid open a little bit when cooking!!!
- The Zipp Quicker is also very usefull, fan of that too!!! Would be extremely handy for my son cause he has but one hand (handicap).
💖, 🤗 and 😘 from an old rebel-Pinkie
That flower thingy is a total waste of money. LOVE the pan buddy!
I’ve spent a small fortune based on your reviews! 👍😂👍😂👍
Thank you for your videos.
the zip quicker will work great with my vacuum sealer bags. It can be hard to fill a bag with marinate and meat by yourself while maintaining a clean sealable top.
That stew looked delicious...now I'm hungry 😋
I love that pan handle. I don't think I really need it. But it's perfect for a lot of people.
The zipquicker definitely works great. But is is really worth $26?
I might consider it if it were a whole lot cheaper. Certainly useful though kind of big.
For a tip on what to do with the “free hand” while using the ZipQuicker: the spare could wield a spatula to scrape the bowls pan. That’s a juggling act I’d be happy to stop doing.
The Pan Handler is a slam dunk if it will hold together on cast iron. Every time i try to pour or one-hand my cast iron frying pan the damn thing weighs so much that my wrist bones actually hurt.
