Hi Berry, just wanted to say love your videos been watching your videos for years. Also as a disabled person with limited movement I like to thank you and appreciate you for when every time going into these product review videos say “before commenting to be mindful of those who have certain disadvantages in the kitchen” even though some are silly, means a lot. I have seen many RUclipsrs do/make product reviews and never have I heard them start out by say that. So again thank you! 😊 keep on doing doing great videos.
That "kitchen washing basket" is a poor cheap copy of Joseph Joseph Prep&Serve bowl - the original one has a silicone base and grip on the handle. I have two of them, one in the small size like the copy and one larger, use them all the time for rinsing rice and similar stuff. Great for washing small and delicate fruit and vegetables too.
As a disabled person who loves to cook, I really appreciate you mentioning that some of these items might seem pointless to most, but can be super helpful to those of us with certain limitations
@@mrbarrylewisOne of my hands is weaker than the other. When they work, those battery powered can openers are essential for me because I can’t use the traditional style ones for anything
@@mrbarrylewis Yea I bought one from Walmart for my late fiance because he had rheumatoid arthritis so had trouble with the traditional ones. Also got him the jar opener after watching you test it!
Keep in mind for 3d printing even if you use food safe filament after a few uses your project may no longer be food safe. Due to the way 3d printers print there are tiny grooves between the layers, which collect bacteria you won't be able to sanitize over time.
I just rewatched it. Blender and smoothie maker are two very different things especially especially when it doesn't even resemble a blender cause its so tiny lol he Says Blender a lot haha but I Also just noticed, the picture on the box is a smoothie with a mass amount of liquid lol silly Barry. I've seen it work perfectly with the right amount of liquid :)
@andybrown4284 it would blend a cracker, a dry, powdery cracker, no problem. It will not blend a sopping, sticky piece of pineapple. Once you add liquid to something it gets very heavy lol once you add enough liquid it will flow freely.
Just to mention for the wonton/dumpling mold, the ball you put was too big. The wrappers are supposed to be thin and that's why it struggled to press down. (I think you were going for a thicker skinned dumpling, but even then the ball you put was a little too big) 🤣 Oh and for the blender, I have one it works great! You have to assist the machine by cutting the ingredients up and by adding liquid. It's really meant more for smoothies than any harder things like carrots (though it can cut them badly if you cut them up)
That salad washer looks great for rinsing rice as you showed, but rice is heavy enough that you can just rinse it in a pan and tilt it to pour out the water. As for washing salad, if the holes are small enough to keep rice in, they will also keep the bugs and slugs in with the salad. At least you'll be eating clean slugs though! Enjoy! 😂👍
I am grateful that you tried the blender. I recently tried to place an order for that type, but then discovered that Temu does not ship to Sweden. How glad I am that it was not possible to order then😂
My favorite is the strainer bowl. I have the strainer ladle and I love it. It's too bad that the can opener broke. Luckily, Temu has a really good return policy.
Barry I love your vids and have been watching them for years at this point. They got me through many anxious nights where I couldn’t sleep with panic attacks, it’s so nice that your videos are just plain fun ❤
I ordered twice from Temu and I can definitely sympathize with you about the deluge of ads. I promptly deleted the app and closed my account after I got my second order.
I have a few people in my life that have similar portable blenders like that. They are definitely for pretty light use type of blending. Something like a basic protein shake with oats/bananas/peanut butter/protein powder it works quite well for. As well as pretty basic "green" smoothies, softer fruit bases like pineapple/strawberry etc, with spinach/kale etc are generally not a problem for them either. Of course the ones I've seen are usually like $40 or so here in the states so they may be of a slightly higher quality. I don't recommend them to most people, but they do work if you treat them as a light blender/mixer and really need a portable smoothie! Oh and the blenders I'm talking about have seen use for at least a year or so. Definitely a more niche product but I'm sure someone whos interested may want to know about some longevity and tips from what others have experienced with them.
It would be interesting to try the toothpaste dispenser using a tube of tomato paste Love this video, I always hesitate to order things from temu or wish- thanks for trying out some so I don’t have to!
I can confirm that this works in theory, because I've used a similar device on various tubes of food paste. Tomato puree, herb paste, etc. HOWEVER. Not all toothpaste dispensers are up to the task with the stiffer tubes like tomato puree, as these can often be foil tubes.
@@Taolan8472thank you for the info. I like to use the tubes of pureed ginger and was thinking of grabbing a toothpaste topper. They have grogru ones that are so cute lol. 😅

i think i also suggested this idea of testing temu gadgets a few vids back so glad you took the suggestion on even if it wasn't my comment that triggered the idea. Also a small note for people who may try temu after this vid. you have to get a basket value of £10.00 beore shipping them out however every order is free shipping and subject to who they use as the courier if it arrives late you get 5.00 credit back. Also in my experience of using them if the item is defective the no quibble refund policy is great. so Barry try to see if you can get a no questions asked refund and let us know if you successfully get it back. That toothpaste extractor could work on other tubed items such as tomato puree.
At uni, as part of a food hygiene module, we grew bacteria from a range of food products. There was more bacteria from a bag of pre-washed “ready to eat” salad compared to raw chicken. Always wash your bagged salad kids!
Were they harmful bacteria? I’m asking because I never thought we were washing salad to remove bacteria, I thought it was to remove insects/slugs and dirt. If I wanted to sterilise it, we would need soap at a minimum - in the same way you can’t remove bacteria from your hands by running them under cold water alone. The reason you don’t wash your hands after handling salad is because the bacteria isn’t harmful but the bacteria on raw chicken really is. Edit: if salad has harmful bacteria on the surface, then it has it in its interior, so we would also have to cook it before eating?
Barry please do a can opener episode, trying a few different types. It's one of the things I have trouble doing and would love to see you test drive some to compare.
I ordered that 4 circle pan a while ago off Amazon. Used it to cook eggs but it always felt quite easy to overcook them in it, so I just went back to a normal small pan. Also kind of a pain to clean!
I know this an old video and I know some people hate temu but I bought that rice cleaner about a year ago and I use it every time I make rice now, which might only be 2-4 times a month but it still works! And it’s pretty convenient to just chuck in the cabinet out of the way.
Think simplicity is key with this batch of gadgets - fewer moving parts, fewer things to go wrong. After that salad washer I think my favourite would be the dumpling maker. The shoes were pretty snazzy too.
My favorite is the salad/rice washer. As for the foam trainers, remember how strange chunky trainers looked when they came out and now seem normal,... you're just ahead of the curve!
I have a silicone tubular shaped garlic peeler. Works great. Also a silicone baking sheet, and yes nothing sticks to it. I have a small 3 to 4 cup french press coffee pot. Feels cheap, but works quite well. Bought 2 wooden ladles. Very nicely made, and they get a lot of use. A digital thermometer, works well. Loved the video. Keep them coming...
😂 I was honestly curious about the silicone air fryer liners because I've been trying to decide if I should get one since I've had a thing of paper liners I've been using. Too bad the ones you reviewed were the same paper liners I have.
So glad to see that pan on here. I've been struggling over whether to buy one or not. I'm still not too sure but, probably won't be getting one now. Thanx
I cook in my knock off crocs. If I dont wear shoes my feet hurt so much worse but the crocs help the best. So if you're going to stand a long while the shoes really do help.
Your gadgets videos are always top lol. Getting close to that million subs Barry. Congrats mate. And btw, i agree with the gadgets that help people, you have no idea how many times my mom asks me to open cans even with a pull lid when i go over haha.
What a brilliant collection of user-error vids (especially the pineapple, one of the most fibrous plants ever and hence difficult to blend, especially without substantial liquid added). But my favorite quote, which would never be uttered by anyone with any semblance of an idea of what food should be: "The omelette, which is NICELY CHARRED, both sides..."???!!!
I have the Farberware version of the can opener, bought from Walmart for like $20. I found if I put any batteries in it besides Energizer does not work very well.
Please be aware of plastics from these sites, mainly for food and drink, as they don’t go through the rigorous testing as were used to in Europe. So there could be lead and all kinds of bad stuff in there leaching out into your food
For the blender I have one simular for $30usd and it’s a smoothie blender once you blend you can drink… only down side is when you’re drinking it you’re also drinking out of the blender.
I have seen that "blender" reviewed before. Its really a smothie maker. you need about 1/2 the volume to be fluid. the button runs for 30 seconds at a time and for most things needs 2 runs. and you need to start it on the side then rotate the stuff to blend down to the blades.
0:40 - NOT Silicon! You can clearly see and read that it's disposable paper! 1:15 - For £1.75 you can get a Colander with a handle at ASDA, or splash out on a Stainless Steel one for £4.
Barry, love your videos, have been watching for a while now and they always lift my spirits!!! Temu is like Amazon. It's a marketplace that anyone can sell on. Each shop is different and some are better than others. Luckily Temu does have a great free return policy and I haven't paid shipping for an order yet! Observations on Temu so far... Most items that have a motor in them have a very small motor that doesn't have much power, so I stay away from those types of devices. Temu doesn't have a "large person surcharge". I'm a large person and buying from Amazon means I have to pay significantly more than a person who buys a size medium item. On Temu I've bought Hawaiian style shirts and the price is the same from Small to 6XL!!! I'm a crafting person and I can tell you that I can buy stamp sets for about 1/5th the price and die sets for about 1/6th the price of retail crafting shops. A crafty person I follow on YT showed a great round bush. He used it for ink blending and it was great for stencils with sharp edges and small corners. The only problem was it was $16 so I put it in my wish list for when I could afford it. Found the same brush on Temu as a Foundation brush for less than $3. So for a little more than what I would pay for one I got six! Exactly the same, but these hadn't been branded. Same dense and soft bristles and they work a charm. I have ordered dozens of items (mostly crafting and some shirts) and I've only returned two items so far. I will say this, most kitchen items (pots, pans, bowls, utensils) I will buy on Amazon and pay more for them because you do get a better quality item like my stainless steel rice/salad washer. However, I'm looking for a salad spinner and on Temu they are only about $6-14...so maybe... Looking forward to you next video!!! Mark
I have that strainer bowl I got it from shein. It's helped me so much with someone with bad hands I don't have to use bowls and tip them and faff saved me so much time! We also have the toothpaste dispenser but ours had 2 toothpaste sections, 4 toothbrush holders and 4 cups it's fab
@14mins - Im surprised you havent seen this in the local. I have one down under called BlendJet. USB powered, ice crunching blade, but sturdier design and solid top. Its made for blending and pouring out. Pulls apart completely and blades will not function when disassembled. Its fabulous for the workplace, dont need to worry about electrical tag testing because its usb. I use mine to turn granola, banana and milk into liquid breakfast.
Nice to see you mention that some of these things could help disable people and you also had my favourite canned chilli other that what you make yourself.
If you want excellent knit fabric shoes, get a pair of Vessi’s. They’re amazing. They’re waterproof, super comfy and last forever; they genuinely live up to the hype. Skip the throw-away stuff, get something that lasts.
Barry re: your curiosity about why Outback honey wheat bread contains cocoa, it’s used to give the bread a darker color. Pumpernickel bread contains cocoa as well. It isn’t necessary but it’s considered more appealing
It's wild that you started with two things that I actually bought from Temu a few months ago. If you also got cat cookie cutters, a bag holder, and magnets, I'd be worried...
Just so everyone in Britain and America knows: buying food prep products in your own country comes with a lot of legal/safety protections. Not the least of which is that there's a company to sue if it nearly kills you. But there are also guarantees that the products are free from various toxic chemicals. Buying food prep products from Temu, Ali, or Wish have almost none of those protections. Use at your own risk.
There's a name brand version of that blender cup in the US that's decently popular, called BlendJet. From what I've seen even that one isn't that hot for any serious blending either. Probably more useful as an extra fancy electric version of a Blender Bottle (which contains a small ball whisk), maybe even useful for someone with with a handicap.
If you want to show off the best electric can opener, get a Hamilton Beach Smooth Touch (76606ZA). I have one and I bought one for my 81-year-old grandmother and she loves it! You'll have to get a voltage converter, but maybe if you cause enough demand they'll start releasing decent can openers over there.
lol on the can opening the magnet should be in the middle, you have to touch that to the lid. and you have to make sure the blade thing is hooked on there well, I have on e like this I use all the time as I am disabled and have a hard time opening cans and stuff
The mini blender needs at least 250ml of liquid to start. Then you can add the protein powder and softer fruits. It works just fine when you do. On the dumpling maker, you started off with too much dough and it was too thick. Then you used too much filling. One level teaspoon maximum. You'll get better results
for the 4 part frying pan, do you think you it would work a bit better if you loosened up the ingredients and flipped them into a preheated flat griddle pan? i have a flat square pan that looks really similar size to the 4 holed one, but its just flat and square without the sectioned off bits. hmmm......
I bought the same pan from Temu. But it was the 2 Egg one and then 1 big section. The idea is pretty good and like the fact I could do myself a small breakfast or a egg and bacon sandwich in one pan is so handy! But it is a pain to clean and the last time I used it, it had a very bad chemical smell. So probably won't use it again. I've got some good and bad things from Temu. Postage was free for me, and is so much quicker! I received my stuff literally within 3-4 days.
Which was your favourite one? I didn't realise but those shoes are made by a well known brand for a lot more money! Fashion eh?!

On
Temu I've bought Hawaiian style shirts and the price is the same from Small to 6XL!!!
Mark
I love Temu items have found so far everything is really good❤
I have that strainer bowl I got it from shein.
I like the original Joseph Joseph Prep&Serve bowl - your favourite is a cheap knockoff of that.
Really liking the new thumbnail style !
They are amazing giving your money back if things don't work or break down
I have the exact strainer. It works great and is a good value.
I had one of those blenders. Stopped working in a week. You also need a lot of liquid to make it work
Rice washer best one. You make my Mondays watching your vids cheers the day up
That breakfast pan would be perfect for making homemade McGriddles.
Barry re: your curiosity about why Outback honey wheat bread contains cocoa, it’s used to give the bread a darker color. Pumpernickel bread contains cocoa as well. It isn’t necessary but it’s considered more appealing
I don’t think Berry know what Yeezy are lmao but I think he got a better deal off temu
You are right, I don't know what they are lol I've heard of the phrase but that's it
@@mrbarrylewisMy brother paid over £200 for the real version of those shoes 😂 I don’t get why though you’d have to pay me to wear them things
This little asthmatic blender made me laugh.......I knew what would happen when Barry said "has been on charge USB style" 🤣
The magnet is below the piece that sticks out. I have found that these type of openers need two turns to unlatch the top.
It's wild that you started with two things that I actually bought from Temu a few months ago. If you also got cat cookie cutters, a bag holder, and magnets, I'd be worried...
I have brought many really good things on Temu and I'm tempted by the trainers but my feet are massive, might give it a go.
I thoroughly enjoyed watching you demonstrate these items from Temu. I haven't laughed so much for ages
I have the similar blender cup, but its just for make smooties and water/fruit blend to drink. I needs water or milk to blend
lol on the can opening the magnet should be in the middle, you have to touch that to the lid. and you have to make sure the blade thing is hooked on there well, I have on e like this I use all the time as I am disabled and have a hard time opening cans and stuff
wow barry and mrs.b. aren't just torsos behind a kitchen counter, neat!
The mini blender needs at least 250ml of liquid to start. Then you can add the protein powder and softer fruits. It works just fine when you do. On the dumpling maker, you started off with too much dough and it was too thick. Then you used too much filling. One level teaspoon maximum. You'll get better results
I have that blender. It's only good for mixing powder into water (protein shake, etc.)
for the 4 part frying pan, do you think you it would work a bit better if you loosened up the ingredients and flipped them into a preheated flat griddle pan? i have a flat square pan that looks really similar size to the 4 holed one, but its just flat and square without the sectioned off bits. hmmm......
With the toothpaste dispenser, to make it food related, would it work if you used a teaspoon to dispence tomato puree?
Isn't that mixed bagged salad prewashed tho? 😆it is in my country
Well, at least Barry has some new garden shoes now! I have to admit I had high hopes for that blender though. 😂
Those breathable tennis shoes I need right now for my foot problems that I am dealing with.
RIP to all those who saw Barry add milk to pineapple and suffered an instant gut reaction.
I wish you would try the washing machine. You could test wash kitchen towels and dish cloths
