@@AllanLarsson-f3h The game ended 7-5, I was never worried that we would lose but do you honestly think we can beat Czechia playing like they did for the 2nd half of that game or make it anywhere come playoffs?
@@Slabbe1337 what's your point, they won? they stopped the intensity to conserve energy and not risk injury. Are you suggesting every game be played at 100% for the full 60, shall we always use the first lines as much as possible? @@AllanLarsson-f3h I know they won, they did enough in the first 2 periods. My point was simply that it wont be good enough going forward, taking unnecessary penalties and basically stop playing altogether which you seem to agree to.
@@AllanLarsson-f3h It was not just about the third period in my opinion. They played like shit in the first as well and should consider themselves lucky they left it with a 3-1 lead. Think the Swiss won the shots 11-5 or something and was clearly the team with more intensity, but they got it done on the PP. It was definitely a sloppy game overall from Sweden, the passing was not good throughout the game, undisciplined and completely unnecessary penalties and add the penalty kill to that as well. They obviously can't play like that against the better teams. It was a lack of focus overall not a mindset of "Conserving energy". That being said, I'm not to worried about one shitty game, as long as they learn and adapt moving forward. If they do, it can even be advantageous.

Depends. Is he going to show some grit and heart? Hockey is a small global sport, and the Nordics should really dominate considering the history, know-how and weather. This is what happens when you play a Ferrari (Elias) like a Fiat (with 2-3 liners). Tocchet is coaching Elias inaccurately and he is risking the future of both Vancouver and Pettersson. Miller, on a great team, is really a 2nd liner. He fits better with the redneck style of player, such as Marchand and Milan Lucic. He needs to really understand his role and quit being an a$$ to Pettersson, who is just trying to be professional. Vancouver is not going deep in playoffs.
strange game.. switzerland started better, and then sweden won the game in the second.. but switzerland made the numbers look close in the 3rd without being even close to win..
I mean, they were only 2 goals away at the end of the game so not that far off. If it wasn’t for the 3-4 deflected goals off they’re own dmen they could have won the game easily
They didnt start better, they started diffrently. Puttning overpressure against the puckholder. Thats why it was hard for Sweden to establish a play in the zone. But this approach leaves a lot of space in the middle of their formation. That is why Sweden scored 3 goals on 4 shots. The entire Swiss team was off-balance totally dumfounded when the Swedes played the puck over the centerline. Their entire approach was flaud from the getgo. The fact that Sweden then preceeded to stop playing is beyond me.

I quite like how they show the build-up to the goal. Not just 5-10 second clips. Need to do this with their NHL highlights as well

The third goal by Sweden is really great! The pace, accuracy, power! Looking good for Swe : ) Heja!
We don’t talk about that third period, smh.
We do. It was extremely weak by Sweden. They need to show more grit in general.
Just a friendly reminder that Granberg and Hedqvist are undrafted 2005 born brilliant players
Too many stupid penalties for Sweden, yet to have a good 60 minute game. It wont be good enough if we want to beat Czechia.
