I’m not a young man and I’ve never really played basketball. But I’m a big fan of the game. Earlier this year I got a ball and started going to the court to shoot around for exercise. I could not hit a 3 unless I launched it from my chest with horrible form. After watching this video and applying the proper technique I increased my shooting range by 6 ft instantly. Great stuff!!! This is a really good tutorial and lots of feedback on the shooting form. I didn't really think about the toe part. I will try to see how this helps when i start practicing tomorrow.
This is the perfect training for range...I have watched this video severally before but never really learnt anything until recently when I did personal training for 2 days, I figured out the problem with my shot which was loading the hips and dipping the ball like he said. It gives you tons of POWER! Try everything in the video alone on the court and it will surely help you

Wow coach... No words, today at the Y I implemented all your keys from splash brothers pack and automatic shooting from your sale a while ago, and it was insane. An out of body experience I've never had before, no matter where I was shooting from it was falling, and obviously I was hot but I could tell my form had changed a ton. Don't sleep on these sales, it's not because they're not good, but because he wants more people to improve and because he needs to earn his daily bread.

I finally got around to starting the NBA Classified shooting program that I purchased a while ago. I just did the first day and toward the end of the training, I was already noticing that I was making more three pointers than when I had started, still not a lot, but definitely an improvement. I'm so exited to start tomorrow's day of work.
would you say the program is more effective than just making a lot of shots? like for example making 50 threes per day

+SargintReznor I definitely think it is better than making a ton of shots in a day. The program also helps work on quick releases, shots from different ranges, etc... Pretty much everything in there is applicable to a real game.
Thanks coach yesterday my shot was a one motion shot and I made a lot of shots in with really good speed then my shots started air balling this helped a lot coach thank you :)

Awesome video to increase range in basketball. I'm a two motion jump shooter and I'm practicing to change mine to a one motion shot but my shot tends to go short when shooting threes. What I notice is I'm not doing heels up when shooting. Most of the time two motion shooters tend not to put their heels up when shooting. Can't wait to try this on the court and hopefully my threes will reach the rim.

You should make a video on what you have to do when you shoot, what you should and what is up to you.
I would love to ask or maybe you could do another video on shoot off (2 dribbles) after a bump fake to each side: left and right ? I was practicing this a lot and i really think it cannot be the same for both sides because you are shooting with only one dominant hand and distributing your weight from the steps on each side is different too. I have tried a lot of methods with different ways of stepping, hopping to the shots but so far, the results were not quite consistent. Hope you could make a good video elaborating on this. Thank you. Big fan of your work

Hey coach C, can you make a vid how to shoot farther for younger players. I'm having a little bit of trouble shooting from 3 pointers.
I need help I brick a lot of shot I can hit mid range but not near the 3pt
IDx K Try using your legs more. But don't sleep on your Mid Range game. No one really cares about the mid range nowadays. Mid Range and the kill box are where yoh are gonna get most of your points. Killbox is from the free throw line to the baseline. But if you purely want you just shoot 3s. Turn more in the air when you shoot. It helps you generate power.

This same as me but I am trying to extend to 2 to 4 feet behind line I am consistent from one certain spot from deep three then I'm ass on other spots

Hey coach i have been having a problem with my jumper. I found that yesterday i was shooting accurately and good but today my muscles were so sore and my jump was very low. Due to this i tend to jump forward ALOT for extra power. It makes it feel my form feel uncomfortable and the ball just goes left or right. I dont have much range at all but i was wondering that if i got range would my form feel alot more comfortable and would that stop my jumping problem?

Because I barely bend my knees, if,I bend more I'll get more power in my shot right? Which should increase my arch because my release point. Which should increase my shot% corrrect?

It should, Becuse ur strength isn’t good enough for that range, so sometimes u adjust and shoot with ur shot pocket lower

TheInternalExternal tuck ur elbow in and make sure it stays in on the release, make sure ur guide hand doesnt come off too early and hold a straight follow through. thats how u get accuracy

stay planted, if they are taller they will most likely force their way in. When they start their first foot movement, get planted ASAP to take a charge.

will this affect my shooting form? because when I try to increase my range from the 3 pt line, my form goes out of whack.
Lorenzo Reyes Don’t go to the 3 point line if your form is messed up. You should be shooting as far as you can where your form is still the same, master that spot, then progress farther and farther from that. This will take some patience though.
