@@randellelinner6290 s. This MAY help... Try slowing things down. Practice w/o a ball first. Visualize simply sitting into a chair. Keep your nose atop yir' knees, knees over toes. Rep this motion slowly & deliberately until becoming stronger at it. Later, add syncing the bball up w/ the motion. Get the progressions down in order to gain confidence. Hit me back if you need help.

I wish i had a coach or RUclips growing up... I basically learned watching great shooters and trying to emulate their shot... I eventually got good enough where as a 14-15 yr old I got called Reggie Miller once...the advice I would give is focus on the way you hold the ball and trying to keep a fluid motion from start to finish... repetition is key... and once you establish good form, even if you stop playing for months and even years the muscle memory is still there and you never forget how to shoot.

My shot is a bit short almost went in need to fix this and get used to this probably will be a good shooter. I already good at layup don't miss and my explosiveness is so quick.

Do you have any tips for shooting on a double rim ? With a large amount of recreationa centers & gymnasiums closed the best manicured basketball court by home has a double rim & it is extremely frustrating to mis shots that get in the hole & rattle out ??
Im a decent to good at 3s but at midrange I throw bricks. A friend of mine suggested my to as im getting closer to the rim i should rise my release point. Does this works?
Big Smoke Many players avoid working on midrange jumpers because it means having to moderate their shooting and jumping power. In a way, for these players, shooting threes is easier because they are forced to use most, if not all, of their power when shooting from three. And giving all of their effort is easier than trying to moderate giving only, say 70%, of the their jumping and shooting power on a midrange shot. Raising your release point can help because it will allow you more arc on your shot but you may find difficulty with consistency. Midrange shooting is all about nuance and modulating your power correctly. Other than changing your release point, try changing your jumping power. Find the right amount, change that not your shot.
You need to start shooting more mid range shots. If you cant make a midrange shot is probably because your mechanics are way off... you shoot better at threes because of what the earlier commentator said...he is right.... the midrange shot is actually a way easier shot once you get the shooting motion right....just start practicing your mid range shots more than your threes.
