As LaVar Ball pointed out, Mark Jackson, allowed Curry and Klay to shoot these shots in NBA games on a regular basis. There have always been players who could hit these shoots, the coaches considered it to be "Hot Doggin" "Streetball" and "And 1" or "N Ball" but it has always been a part of urban culture. Coach Greg P does not want his players doing it today because most old-school coaches consider it a low percentage shot. The Ball brothers and thousand of kids all over this country have been doing this for over 60 years but I am glad folks like you have decided to highlight this. Pistol Pete, Chris Herron, Kristap Porzingus, Luka Doncic, and Jason "White Chocolate" Williams could shoot like this as well. Isaiah Thomas has a video talking about this. Thank God Mark Jackson allowed the Splash Brothers to do this because if not, we would never know how great Dame Lillard is
Damien Lillard just has to add more offball movement like a Curry to be more effective as a 3 point shooter. His handles aren’t that dynamic but he doesn’t need great handles to create off the dribble cause of those deep 3s, he can get to the rim easily cause teams have to guard him closer, it’s actually better that way no need for over-dribbling
@@HEMSteeel86 Also Dame can post up too. I know shorter PGs don’t post up often but he’s a strong 6’2 guard, he can use his size down on the block. But Dame is really good. @@anthonycelestin3559 Posting up would take away from how effective he is facing up, and the defense would rush to trap him as soon as he does that. Thank God Mark Jackson allowed the Splash Brothers to do this because if not, we would never know how great Dame Lillard is
Someone send this video to Paul George and ask him if it was still a bad shot?
Man 😎 Damian Lillard really deserved to be an All Star ⭐ this year 🏀.......................
hes not?
there is just one "logo ..." in the league and is him, Logo Lillard
You know there is one guy better than him while writing this comment 💀
It’s curry rang
yea cuz logo curry doesnt go as well
@@StephenHSmith-mn4iq well curry change the game😎
That’s because “Logo young” and “Logo curry” don’t have a ring to them. There’s no “... flurry” or “ice ...” or “... party” either.
As a Dame Lillard fan, I have no issues with your comment. Good analysis.
@@HEMSteeel86 Also Dame can post up too. I know shorter PGs don’t post up often but he’s a strong 6’2 guard, he can use his size down on the block. But Dame is really good. I’m not sure how I feel about CJ taking so many 3s being 11 per game when his midrange is so effective but maybe the Blazers doubling down on the 3s with their backcourt can make them more dangerous come postseason
@@anthonycelestin3559 Posting up would take away from how effective he is facing up, and the defense would rush to trap him as soon as he does that. But to your point, Dame, and the entire team in general, should have more motion in their offense. That would create more passing lanes, driving lanes, and more wide open jumpers than they’re already seeing at this time.
@@HEMSteeel86 True, just post up once in a while, it’s not ideal for Dame to post up often that but its always good to have that as a Plan B
I don’t think dame is gonna do that anytime soon. Besides klay, who do you think has the closest off ball movement to steph? I would say poole.
Damian "Dame Time" Lillard should be starting in the 2021 NBA All-Star Game with Steph Curry in the Western Conference. Agree? Comments?
i agree completely 1,000,000,000%
Should be pg 1 too. I understand curry has the hype. Curry isn’t doing what dame is.
@@skeletallightning8176 curry better then dame, not just hype. Dame is good… but not over steph

Looking at the same game with a new light and changing the whole way it functions. So cool!

Him and Curry are the greatest deep range shooters of all time. I don’t believe Trae young will top those two.
@@seb7265 trae young let the narrative that he’s the next Steph get to his head imo. He’s doing curry and dame like stuff because of the media
@@seb7265 ur absolutely right who knows maybe he’ll surpass both of them👀. But imma go with what I said and stick with it

6:47 "As Paul George knows..." 😂😂😂
Been trynna say it. Obv Steph the greatest shooter of all time and the best shooter right now but in terms of DEEP threes. Dame number 1. Idc how you think of Steph but the numbers are just undeniable
Steph is more efficient plain and simple
Lmao...... steph is the king of all 3s all kinds of 3s......
@@xzginthereaper yea more of an efficient all around shooter but overall dames made more and has been more efficient. Stephs high efficiency numbers on deep three is not as impressive because he doesn’t take as much as dame. It’s More impressive to have high efficiency on high volume
@@naieuc lmao again idc about ur perception of steph. Yes he’s the best shooter of all time but don’t let that make u think illogically. at this point you’re just in denial. So far based on the numbers (you can check them) dame has been the best deep 3 point shooter so far in terms of 28-30+ feet. Now can that be subject to change? Yes. But as of right now the numbers prove that nobody’s as lethal from that range than dame. You can go off ur personal opinion all u want but the stats say otherwise

Thank you. I’m the biggest Steph Curry fan and I believe that Steph is the greatest shooter of all-time, but other Steph Curry fans don’t understand or won’t accept that Lillard is currently the best deep shooter (30+ feet) in the game, and of all-time.
Thank you
Steph has taken and made more deep threes than lillard. It’s only last year steph wasn’t there that lillard got to shine cause he was the only one in the league doing it kinda consistently
@@simoneaddo644 We’ll see what happens going forward, but so far this season Dame has made the most 30+ footers in the league by a substantial margin. He does shoot more of these than Steph though, so I’m curious what the shooting percentages are looking like.
@@precisism1804 Lilliard will have more but way lower % Curry will have the best % by a good margin
@J Black basketball a team sport not his fault Plus he’s built like a old school player not wanting to team up with other stars
We need a 4 point line asap. It's been over 40 years and 3s are now as easy as 2s
1:09 excuse me? have you guys been living under a rock to forget Steph is a player too?
Curry consistently hits threes a lot more than dame but not at dame's distance. Curry hits near three point lines especially corners. There's a specific range so curry is not top dog here. Even Drummond is better than curry but only in half and whole court shots. But curry is most consistent of them all right now and he's unselfish as well. He also has great finishes and defenders udually care about guarding curry on deep threes and even near threes anyways so he physically can't do it as much as dame whereas dame keeps getting underestimated in that range. No one guards him even if his name is logo lillard
