I put one round mag on the bottom of my oil filter. And one on the side . Works great
Its been working for me too. thnaks
@ExtremDIY I'm seeing same results you are. Def traps really small metal
Great fun project. Love magnets
thanks
Love the power of magnets if only they could design a magnet for humans to keep a relationship magnetized. 😄
That is a good one..lol
I seen a custom built vehicle and rather than use screws for the door panels the shop used an magnetic system that is cool
I love magnets they can be used for so many things.
Great project to show the magnet power.
Thank you for this in-depth useful video
Very welcome
That is a great way to see how it works. thanks
Welcome
Interesting video on using the magnets on the oil filter. Thanks
That is a good illustration of the oil pan and filter. Will look into this thanks
Hello thank you
Great video! It pays to purchase a few extra sets of those neodymium bar magnets thru your link & just replace them every other oil change. I see this as a more cost effective solution than Filter Mag. You can never go wrong with Votex plugs.
Thank you
Cool illustration.
Thank you
Thanks for the video.
Welcome
Great stuff.
Cool project
Thanks
Nice video
thanks
What can you do if your oil filter is the plastic cartridge style? How can you use magnets on it?
Depending on your vehicle there are some aftermarket aluminum ones with magnets. I believe for BMW there are some companies that make them. If you have a the plastic oil filter caps that stick out a couple of inches you can glue some magnets on the outside of the cap. Once you replace your cartridge you just clean the inside of the cover. You can also add the oil drain plug that has a magnet on it. I have seen people add a bunch of magnets to the bottom of the oil pan like the transmissions has. The only issue is you cant see the metal. Just every time you change the oil remove the magnets before you remove the oil drain plug so most of the metal gets flushed out. Hope this helps
Yes, if you buy an new truck and if you're a perfectionist like me. Technically you can use magnets vs holes to secure
Cool video thanks
Welcome
Should have used coconut oil or something with more viscosity. Good video.
Hello I did tried to use corn oil but took too long for illustration and messy. Just for fun. Thank you
It can't do no harm by using magnets on oil filter the key is like mentioned in the video is a strong magnet
Magnet on the oil pan or use magnet drain plug, on filter gains nothing
I like using them and have worked great for me. There some manufactures using them on their oil filters so there has to be a reason for it.
@@ExtremDIY if any gain, the filter must have issues
@@Tavarisj Filters are limited to about 25 microns so anything bellow that will go back to engine and can cause wear. This video helps to see how standard filters are limited ruclips.net/video/qPXsCG-C-JY/видео.htmlsi=WMFnOjBaarKrCRy3
That's incorrect.
I seen I seen,---don't nobody speak good English no more?
