Thanks buddy! We spend a lot of time on our videos so they don't release twice a week which I'm sure affects growth x.x But nonetheless, working hard to earn every sub :P
For those just watching this video now, skullco has replaced this model with an updated one fixing all the main concerns of the original: - slightly thinner in parts of the back to be more dock friendly and have better cooling - slightly larger cutouts by the triggers so they are less stiff - a 3rd gripset so there is now a large option - improved clips so the grips are more secure
@@Joryu_69-cm3hs they phased out the old one so yeah either Amazon or the skullnco site. The official site is cheaper but takes a month to ship. Just to be safe though since Amazon sometimes has old inventory, the old model ships worh only 2 grips so if you see 3 sizes you know it's the current one
I just got these in. I really hated a lot of the alternatives for grip support so this was a blessing in the sky! So amazing that the grips are interchangeable. Why hasn't anyone else thought of them?
I've been using this for around a year now that I've gotten my brother one as well. My boss got me a second Switch and purchased another gripcase for that one as well. While there might be other useful grip cases out there, I love this one and do not regret backing the company. They are a pleasure to deal with.
My Skull & Co. just arrived today and it's great 👍 Fun Fact: The Ipega "Red Knight" (Pg-9087) actually fits perfectly in the "batterybank-slot" of the MaxCarry Case! :)
I use my Switch in portable mode only, but it felt uncomfortable at some poses, so I got this grip from this company, and damn... It does the job pretty well, and I love how the sell it with its own case, so you don't have to be removing the grip after every gaming session.
Another issue with this case (for some) is that hitting the volume down button can accidentally hit the power button as well, putting the Switch into sleep mode. Best thing to do there is to trim down the rubber point that hits the power button so that it doesn’t have as much chance of hitting it using a sharp knife, but be careful in trimming it down.
Great video. Very clear speaking, great coverage of all included bits, and simple editing. I just bought this set recently (Aug 2019) and it now comes with a THIRD set of grips that are even larger than the trigger grips. I have medium-size hands and find that these new largest grips work very well and are comfortable. Overall I’m really happy with the whole package. Some improvements could be made, but for the price it’s great. Also it fits in my dock!
After watched this amazing video, I decided to buy it despite the shoulder button cons. Yes it might be a lil bit harder to press. But not that hard thou as I thought. Thanks for the review! I made the best decision =D
I got one from kickstarter, loved the concept, hated execution. Mine fit so tight I thought I would rip off my joycons when taking it off. I eventually cut off the trigger buttons on the top, and now I can use it fine. I still have problems with power and volume, but I can live with that now. Would not buy again, as my joycons connecting to my switch are quite important to me.
Great presentation! Just buying a nintendo switch for my 8 year old son couple of days ago and the guy is very excited and now I am looking for a hard shell protective cover but they said Mumba cover is the best one for the price. Any way Nintendo Switch is a great device or console to buy, and I am very proud
I might go with something using TPU. That's the more rubbery material you find on most phone cases. Also be sure to buy a couple tempered glass screen protectors. I have them on my switch and all my phones and haven't had a broken screen in years.
The shoulder buttons are not more difficult to use. Initially they feel more rigid, but after a day or so of play they wear in a bit and are just as easy to press as they are without the covering.
I literally was just about to research good grip cases!! and as soon as I got on RUclips, this video was the 1st recommended, *perks of being subscribed* I was so about to google this particular product, I've heard other reviews that basically said the same things and many other things not said. All and All thanks man I probably wont be getting this grip case.
I loved this video, the fact that it is a complete review with all the details is great. I think this would be a nice case to own for protection. Personally I wouldn’t be able to use it in dock mode because my dock is bent, but I still think this would be a great product to own.
Hey I really enjoyed the video, but I was wondering, since the grip case adds extra bulk to the switch, would it not be able to fit in the standard Nintendo switch carrying case? I don’t have a ton of money to spend on that big carrying case right now. Thanks!
I loved this! It's hard for me to find accessories i like from third party companies but this one takes the cake. I'm also in need of a carrying case, last time i traveled with my Switch in the bag, i had to roll it on a towel.
Getting it in and out of the gripcase can be pretty annoying if you like switching between docked and undocked. So, I'd recommend an extra joy-con or pro-controller just to make it easier on yourself.
Yooo, you and I are set out on a journey to prove to everyone that the nintendo switch is definitely the greatest console ever lmao.. Keep up the quality content!
Hey, I’m not sure if you will read this or find it amongst your other comments, but if you do manage to get to this one, can you tell me where you got your custom knife? It looks really cool and something I’d be interested in having made for myself.
I have this case but I actually don’t use it since I prefer the natural feel of the switch. I’ll recommend this case for people with big hands or for people that really don’t like the feel of the switch. I think this case is too big and adds weight to the switch which can make you feel tired after some time of playing.
My question is what do you guys suggest for a power bank with this grip? Ive been looking for one but dont know what to pick (im looking for one which can fit in the case but still charge my switch for long time)
I really wish this came in a clear or smoke TPU. They added the pokemon edition grips but the black case covers the awesome pikachu and eevee silhouettes :( I would be all over this at $19 on Amazon (grips only).
The mumba heavy duty is great for protection one of the best if that’s what you want but the skull and co is for comfort and there are better ones for that like satisfye but it is not actually a case but mostly for the grip
The type c connection on the switch dock just needs to be longer. The grip case has thickness on the bottom that keeps it from docking, I modded my dock to reach the switch better
Hi sorry to ask I can't get them to answer. Do you know if I pre-order today whether they send it straight away. I am confused by it being called a pre-order. I wanted to get the version where you get 3 extra sets of grips. If you don't know they fine just thought you might know since this is only 2 months old.

are there any travel cases that work with this while allowing room for a pro controller? I want to take the pro controller on the go when I travel but the max carry case doesnt look like it'll fit
how do you feel about this compared to the satisfye " ultimate gaming grip" ? do you prefer one over the other. im surprised i cant find any direct comparisons as they both seem to be cut from the same cloth and they both have a case. possibly a future video.
Hey Mason! The Satisfye grip hasn't been released yet! We tried out the prototype but once we get the final version, we'll check it out on the channel and of course compare it to others. Personally, I prefer the larger and more ergonomic Satisfye grip because I have large hands and after an hour or two, my wrists will start to kill me :O But for average hands or smaller, the Skull & Co. grips should also help a lot!
Can't say it enough, but I recommend much more either the grips from play asia Gametech charging grip(that doubles as a controller) or Cyber Gadget charging grip(that doubles as a controller) google or ebay either for images. Both are Eons better. Satisfye tried to be all creative by making the right hand controller 10inches wide, but they would have been better just replicating a normal one. The Skull & Co gripcase is way too narrow at the side, however the Max Carry Case is amazing. I'm amazed their aren't more youtube reviews on them either, although you do need to order from overseas.
How much space is in the storage slot in the center, for instance how wide is it in mm or inches. I don't want to buy this and a battery bank and it not being able to fit in the case because the battery is too wide.

I bought a Mumba battle protective case but it makes console not dockable... I'm thinking about this one but the R & L button covered are preventing me in my decision
Can you share the link to skull & co statement with docks? Trying to find this out and I'm not sure if that is no longer valid and they are again compatibile or I'm blind 😅
Do you know of a way to remove the case without it getting caught in the triggers? Happens to me every single time and the case is finally starting to stretch on the right bumber
It looks pretty good! But to save some money and because its not really that necessary, I wont buy it since I have the orzly starter kit on aim, which comes with a grip, a carrying case, a two in one pen, earbuds (I think) and two tempered glass screen protectors.
How much space is there for Bluetooth Adapters using the USB C Port? I have the one from Homeport which is designed to be close to the Switch. Can somebody tell me if it would fit or if I should get another Case with the whole Bottom as a cutout
What’s the point of it being dock-friendly when you need to remove the grip case to remove the joy cons to play docked? Am I missing something here? 🤷♂️
It's useful if you use something like the pro Controller when you're in dock mode so you don't need to remove the joy cons, but also this case has been updated since then and now it's much easier to remove the joy cons while keeping them docked
