Thank you for putting this out there. I am disabled with multiple sclerosis and I am feeling extremely isolated right now. Just listening to you is giving me some forethought into ideas that I could maybe try to help the loneliness. Thank you❤
I am disabled but the problem is I am very sensitive person sometimes I can't even understand joke which leads to argument and cuz of that not only the real friend but I been pushing online friends far away to I just feel to lonely it's so sad I want someone to love in my life but it's not possible 😔 I hope I will find that perfect person somewhere soon in my life I am just pathetic I don't want to push away my friends but I can't help it
Hello from across the pond and Thank You for all your content on your channel. Ive been trying to get back into shape and loose some weight. Ur channel has helped alot. Being active is something i try to do often. Ive actually started kayaking and kayak fishing. Plus ive been hitting the local parks and rolling around ive worked myself up to 6 miles a day 4xs a week. I also deal with the lonely side of being disabled. Like most i had plenty of support from others in the beginning but in the last 5-6yrs it slowly dwindled down to a handful of good friends. Im still by myself 90%of the time but ive learned to live with it. Thanks for all you do to help inspire others and keep up the great work
I consider myself very lucky with regards to this topic. Since I became disabled, I was so concerned in the beginning that my friends would just leave me. When I told them, they all said that they weren't going anywhere and I almost cried. I'm so grateful to have them. I also play wheelchair basketball, which has been great. I did have a job until about 6 weeks ago when I was made redundant, but I'm looking for something else now. I go to the gym almost every day and speak to the personal trainers there and other gym goers. I remind myself of what I have and that loneliness is something I no longer deal with. Sure, there are times where I do feel a bit lonely because I don't know anyone else who has the same unique mix of conditions that I do and while I don't need to be friends with someone in the same circumstances, it is nice to talk to people who get it every now and again.
I wouldn't say I feel lonely, but I have become a bit of a recluse and am not bothered by it (which is probably worse). I have my day job (interacting with lots of people) and then I go home to my pets and my hobbies which I love. Never really go out with people other than family.
Love your videos btw. Loneliness can be hard, i have been working on all your points for awhile . i live on my own with my dog so im trying to get out more and be with friends and family. Also 3 years ago i decided to try Wheelchair Bodybuilding(still doing it) which made me more social and gave me alot more confidence. I know it can be easier said than done but just be strong. Thanks again for all your great info you give us, your awesome!
I isolaed myself because of anxiety and depression, now I'm lonely. I've always been disabled so I've not had to get used to living differently suddenly but my health has deteriorated. Any tips on overcoming depression?
Ill have a video on this too. But there's some good resources out there. When I was feeling depressed having a purpose and being part of something bigger than myself really pulled me through. That plus diet, exercise, going outdoors all helped too
@@AdaptToPerform I do volunteer at a local college one evening a week and I've just started another volunteering role. I love playing piano, colouring and I'm studying Social Sciences.

I'm so glad you have a great support network. Just like I said in the video sports teams are great!

If you look at one of the links I put one about types of loneliness. You might not be lonely as you have your pets ♥️
@wfori: I am quite the same. I think alot of people are like that!
