Awesome! Glad it helped! I'm hoping to do another tutorial on swinging spoons and explain a few tips to getting the best action out of them when fishing steelhead/salmon on the river.
      Good luck and tight lines!

I was quite literally just swapping out hooks on my preferred spoons/spinners earlier today and never thought about setting it up how you just demonstrated. Going to have to try that out now. Thanks

Absolutely! I did forget to mention a couple of othere things, 1 being, you need to be aware of the total length of hook and hardware and make sure its not too long or you may end up wrapping the hook up on your main line. Once set up, simply pull the hook back towards the top of the spoon, if it doesnt touch the top split ring then you should be ok! Also this extension helps you connect with fish that "short strike" like Coho salmon for example! Good luck out there and hope this helps!

Bad ideea. The hook without the swivel will stay at 90 degrees, so when the fish crush the spoon the hook get impelled. If the hook can rotate, will be on the same flat surface as the spoon and spit out easily.
