Hi Tara, I definitely like your choice. I had a 2010 335i coupe myself and enjoyed it very much. However I sold it and bought a 2014 550i M sport. To this point I've lowered it on Eibach springs, put on an Eisenmann exhaust and had a Dinan Stage 2 installed. Lovin it!!!

Great car, I’m getting one in a month can’t wait. All I would say is be careful when the oil temp is not warmed up to 210f. The rod bearings are known to wear quickly on these cars mainly due to revving/pushing the car before its reached optimal temp (thicker oil takes long to warm all the way up to properly lubricate engine components). Enjoy the beast, I’m in Vancouver too so maybe I’ll drive by you one day haha

I was sitting here thinking in that goodbye video that she's going to need to take it up a notch if she wants to call whatever she gets next an "upgrade" because the 335i is going to be hard to beat. Well, mission accomplished. The e92 M3 with that sexy v8 is a dream car of mine. I got my first taste of BMW about a month ago when I bought an 08 328i 6 spd manual with the sport package. It's unlike any car I've driven. Sure it's not the fastest, but nothing takes corners better, with zero body roll. I got bit by the BMW bug now. The only place to go from here is up the ladder of greatness to the world of M power like you did!

Congrats on the sick purchase!! Looks just like my N55 sedan except my rims and interior are black. Probably the first changes I’d make would be to replace the chrome trim pieces for black ones and get a Jet Black rear spoiler 👌🏼

That’s how I felt with my 2014 F30 335i. I didn’t want to say goodbye to my E90 2011 335i. I drove that car from Ft Polk La., to Ft Lewis Wa. And then with time I traded it in. None the less! You came out like Jerry Seinfeld! You broke even! Congrats girlie!!!!

Did you check how the S65 was? Kakonn also picked up a E92 and went through to replace the rod bearings immediately just to be safe lol. Do full coilovers if you could. :P

Very fine choice! A few months ago I was in the market of getting an M3 also, but I happened to come across a M6. I’m still in the market of getting the right M3, but I just so happened to pick up a M6 along the way.

Hi Tara, your bmw m3 is so beautiful as you do. It has been about 1.5 years since you got it. How have you liked the car? Have you taken it to the track or done “donuts”? What issues have arisen? I heard that the E93 m3 may have throttle actuators or rod bearing problems. I ask theses questions here because there is an m3 convertible sitting in a dealer lot for a month now. I have looked at it and made my heart beat palpable. But the more I read about the car the more concerned I become. I would like to hear your opinion. Thank you.
I love the M3 but have not taken it to the track. I am scared of wrecking it and it cost a lot so I’m quite cautious. I bought a third party warranty due to the potential issues you raised. I’ve had a leak which was covered so I’m glad I bought it. It’s definitely a high maintenance car. Be warned!
Do the aftermarket rod bearing upgrade. I did it in my own m3 right away the day i got it. The motor costs 20k usd if it goes. Read about engine clearance and oil that should be used for the s65 engine.
I’m telling you there is something about these cars that is bonding I changed my mind selling my 2”11 335 msport which I still have- your new m3 is incredible ! Congrats ! My next one has to be a 340 msport
Welcome to the High Power Club. Just one warning. Make sure you do the engine bearing upgrade so that your engine does not blow up. See Doug or Hoovie on this BMW M engine issue. Have fun and drive safe.
Nice choice of car and outfit. :) You have limited paths to mod an M3 vert, since they're already pretty good from the factory, namely to alter the aesthetics or chase more power. Lowering it is unlikely to improve the car, since it's already fairly low and the change in LCA angle will hurt the handling. If you want to mod the suspension, I'd opt to just replace the seven-year-old control arm bushes with OEM replacement rubber bushes or vulcanised rubber parts. Whatever lowering springs you get will simply make the ride more harsh, and the shocks probably aren't damping as well as they used to anyway, turning it into a pogo-stick. You might enjoy a 1-way machanical LSD, but that's not for everyone. Aesthetics are down to individual taste, but anything to break up the black dash and light exterior would be good. Installing 15mm spacers and respraying the wheels bronze would make for a classy look. LED replacement dome lights are a must if you don't already have them.

What is the mileage of the 2007 335i before you traded it in? What is the mileage now on the 2011 M3, that you are driving now?

I had a 335i e92 then upgraded to 2013 e92 m3. Totally different feel. The best lip is vorsteiner.
