My brother has a brain tumour that was half the size of his brain. Inoperable. They did chemo and radiation . That was 23 years ago. He’s still here and doing well. Positive as always. Glad you’re keeping positive too!

Your outlook inspires me to be better, more appreciate, and to focus on positives. My 3 year old son had a tumor in his bone last year and just received a clean bill of health. You will too. Much love to you and your family.
When my father was diagnosed with Stage IV Colon Cancer in 2013, he told me "I've been searching all day online for stories about people surviving five years and can't find any," to which I told him, "Well, maybe that's because you're supposed to be that story other patients search for of the man who made it five years or more." He made it to four years, which was much longer than the 18 months his original prognosis was. Much love and good luck!
My grandfather was also diagnosed with Stage IV Colon Cancer a long time ago, but he only died 2 years ago. He was supposed to live 2 more years, but through surgery and chemo he managed to live 8 years after his diagnosis. I won't say his last years of life were easy, but during those initial 5 years he wasn't doing so bad. I do wonder if you're lucky or not if you get to live longer than that, because the last years aren't pretty, and if you die young you don't get to experience all that pain. Might be a terrible thing to say, but I just don't know.

@Rae Senpai No, dying young is NOT better than dying when old. My elder brother died at age 32, leaving behind a wife and 3 young sons. My younger brother was killed at age 20. My dad was 94 when he died. It's expected at old age.

My auntie and her family have cancer.
Her mother has breast cancer, father pancreatic cancer,
She and her 2 aunties have cancer,
They're still fighting up to this day! They get monthly check up and they're all doing good!
My auntie is diagnosed in stage 3 breast cancer in 2014. They're fighters ❤❤
My older brother had a brain tumor as well when I was younger. It took him a long time, he lost control of most of his right side of his body. The therapy helped him so much.
20 years later, he’s thriving and he has full control. You got this man. You’re amazing. I love your puppets as well.

That is fantastic news! My little brother had brain surgery for a tumor in his brain stem about 2 months ago, doctors said recovery time was about 2 months yet still he has trouble with his left arm and the left side of his face is not working properly - how long did it take for him to start getting better would you say if you don't mind me asking? starting to get concerned now they're pushing recovery time out a year and he just started a job right before discovering the tumor!
I know the cure I can cure you within 2 days but you probably will never see this and I feel bad

I am a cancer survivor myself. I have been through chemotherapy and radiation. I had a blood cancer which is different than your situation, but I am still here today and doing well! I am praying for your recovery man. Keep that optimism, sending you love.
My mom had a Stage 3 Tumor the size of a KIWI removed from her brain 3 years ago, and she is in her 60s. Exact same situation with a difficult location and follow-up chemo and radiation. She made a complete recovery. I am sure you will too! Keep your spirits up! There is so much love and support for you. Oh, and my mom named her tumor B!tch. It's great to hear her laugh about it now, as I'm sure you will too sooner than you think. Stay strong!

@@Sino-zi4le you usually get a year or two after a complete resection before it returns. It was like that for dad. You completely recover, but so does the cancer. Assuming this is GBM it will, sadly, be back.

This is my first time watching one of your videos, and it is clear how much joy you bring to people and how many people love and adore you for what you do. My brother had a brain tumor at 26, and within months he underwent surgery to remove the tumor and went through a year of proton chemotherapy. The doctors were incredible and saved his life. My brother is now 33 and is brain cancer free, he lost part of his vision, but says that it has recovered a lot of the missing areas of vision, because the brain is amazing at adapting and healing. I am faithful that you will get through this and make a full recovery. You are incredibly strong and the doctors are very good at what they do. Much love ❤ and thank you for being awesome!

I've lost a lot of family to different kinds of cancer, watching them go through the years of difficult treatment and the hardships that come with it. During his senior year, my nephew found out he had a tumor behind his right eye attached to the pituitary gland. He went through 3 surgeries and an experimental proton therapy over the next couple years. It's been about 4 years now. They weren't able to get it all but it hasn't grown and he's doing well. Stay strong brother! You're living in the best time to get a brain tumor.
I have a similar one right now. Optic nerve glioma. Was that what his was called by chance?

I've never been here to your channel, but the algorithm got me here mysteriously and after watching this video I just want to say that you are incredibly strong in the face of all of this. Your strength, in combination with the support of friends and family that you mentioned hopefully lessens the mental toll. @@Whatchamacallit777 , I do and I'm Christian, Catholic, I see that cross in your profile pic but it's not really the time to talk about the afterlife or even preach if that's your intent in this place now and in this comment, I don't think it's the best thing to just bring out the afterlife in a video like this at a time like this and it wasn't a talk or question about that, this comment wasn't even the best place where you hould have placed that if it was then it would be different, there's a time and place for everything and somethimes one has to keep quiet, calm and wait, for there is a right time and place for everything, especially if it's a video like this, about the cancer of someone and where there are possibilities of a good outcome and it's important to stay positive, that talk about the afterlife would be better in another moment but I don't think the here and the now are the best ones, even it would have been better to say other things appart from that, like you could pray for this person, and besides it can make you look insensitive too to bring that out now without even saying anything more, this is a very sensitive matter and it's important to be careful, gentle/mild and to empathize and show compassion.

You sound like a really knowledgeable guy. Stay up on that. You are 100% in charge of your medical care. Don't let them gaslight you or your wife or postpone giving you answers. Remember to rest, get a case manager you can trust, and find a therapist to help with the emotional Rollercoaster.
My friend went through this two years ago. Just had a check up yesterday, he’s all clear. He said that it’s really the best excuse in the world when after surgery if you just don’t feel like doing something, you can blame the tumor. I hear naming it is also a trick to happiness. Feel free to name it Sunny.

Adam… it’s a lot to take in, absolutely. I know… I received a Cancer diagnosis in 2015, and…not gonna lie, it was the hardest thing… but, I’m still here to tell you that I’ll be thinking of you, and pulling for you, and that you can do it. Just…listen to your Doctors, and do EXACTLY what they tell you to do. Most importantly, always always keep your sense of humor…it’s a must. Last but not least, you will meet amazing people….
Chemo and Radiation were hard…very hard… but the people who help you through all of that, are a breed all their own, and they make it so much more bearable. Scream, or cry when you need to… Eat. Be sure to Eat…it doesn’t really matter what you eat, if only cookies taste good? Eat the damn cookies! Drink as much water as you can…

This is rough news, I had to help someone very special to me going through something similar, she ended up getting a 16 ounce monstrosity removed from her head. The road to recovery was hard, but you can do it. I am glad you are here. Take a break when you need to, we will be here for you.

I was watching one of your videos on the eyelid mechanism for puppets when I heard about your tumor. I feel so sorry for you and wish you (and your family) the best with your treatment. I have enjoyed watching your videos for several years. You seem so friendly and generous. And I made a nice puppet from your tutorials. I've been wanting to get started for years, being a fan of Kermit the Frog. My puppet is a big hit with the kids. They all want to pet her, put their hand in her mouth (my puppet is a carnivorous plant). Some ask her super cute questions like "are you going to school?", "how old are you?"... Puppets are really something special. I just made a donation and all my wishes for recovery go to you.
I’m a new viewer. My wife passed away from brain cancer two years ago so this hit me different. We were lucky as we live near one of the top cancer research hospitals in the nation, the James. My heart goes out to you and your family during this time.

I had a brain tumor on my hypothalamus when I was 15 (1997). I’m now about to turn 40 and in good health. I’m praying that your journey turns out just as well.
FYI: Waking up right after surgery was the toughest part. Biggest headache I ever had. Just so you can prepare yourself.
EDIT: first symptoms were splitting headaches during only a certain time of the day, and I was losing my peripheral vision because the tumor was pressing on my optic nerve.

@@cameronlamb153 my neighbor, 16 f, had started off with headaches. Then it progressed to seizures. She ended up in a wheelchair for a while. But she was the one who told her parents "I think I have a tumor". They kept telling her no and brushing it off until images and tests came back. She's doing fine now after surgery. It was benign, non cancerous, but it was still disrupting nerves and her brain.
I have never seen any of your content until this, unfortunately, i'm adding you to my prayers tonight and wishing you strength for the road to recovery that lay ahead.
In this world we walk sometimes we encounter beautiful minds. The kind that have a leaving effect. Amd Adam has done that for alot of us. I'm not alone in saying our thoughts are with you and you have brought Many moments to my family in teaching us how to's.
Adam, I wish you the best. I've known a few people with cancer/tumors through my life and I gotta tell you, please don't push yourself too hard or try to appear strong for the sake of those around you. It's great that you've got a good support network and your acknowledgement of the emotions you're feeling is super important. I've reached the part in the video where you're listing all the things you might post and work on and they sound great but I'll tell you frankly: trying to be strong and productive can be draining. I'm no doctor and everyone's different, so I can't say what will happen, but draining yourself generally isn't good for healing in my experience. Take your time. You've got this.

At first I was filled with so much anxiety, my brother was diagnosed with a brain tumour in December. However, when you said there was possabilities of positive outcomes, I felt relief. Not to say you do not have an hill to climb, but my brothers was the worst cancer you can get, the doctors were clear from the start there was only one outcome. You have hope, remember that when you go through the worst bits, focus on the future, and let those around you carry the rest.

❤. I started watching your channel recently and I have been such a fan of you and your presentation style. I hadn’t thought about puppets in so many years but I remember loving puppets as a kid and being completely surprised when I took an aptitude test in college to help plan my academic future and one of my top areas it recommended was puppetry. I ended up in the health care field. Stay strong, stay positive, recognize there will be times of emotional and energy ebb and flow. ❤

Speaking as someone with a child that went through the same thing some years back I want to give you hope. My kid had a full recovery and now they don't even have to do treatments or take any of the nasty medicines prescribed post operatively. Completely recovered without any lasting complications from the surgeries. I hope for the same for you.

had cancer last year (colorectal) had cancer this year 2 low grade papillary bladder tumors and a stage 3 grade 3 in my kidney which removed my kidney and ureter.. 2 growths on my lungs we hope are from infections... I am on keytruda (immunotherapy) hugs!!! there is a huge support community out there.. I wish you the best! I ran around tried to give my home, property to family, (my banker put his foot down and I listened) but I did talk to all my family and mended some bridges, its a gift to be able to know its coming and to be able to just say, hey I want you to know you matter, I care, am not mad and love you, for last words if its coming,,, I now choose to try to act like I may not see people again,,,make the best of it
mr kreutinger was my art teacher in 4th grade and i still remember him dancing on the table singing jessie’s girl he made me understand art in such a different perspective. he is still one of the best teachers i have ever had and he got me into art. I hope you survive this very hard battle and all of your old students are thinking of you in their hearts.❤️

my mom had a tumor about 11 years ago. they gave her two weeks to live. by the grace of God her brain tumor disappeared and she’s still with us today. i’ll be praying for you ❤️
I've never seen your channel but I hope you continue doing what you love to do. Do as much of it as you can. Losing my dad to brain cancer compelled me to click. I feel for you and want you to know, despite the statistics, that there are people that live with brain cancer for a very long time. There's no reason you can't be one of them.
