To anyone that came here to comment about Remote Control, I know. Not every episode is lost. I made a community post clearing things up, so you aren't telling me anything I'm not already aware of. I'll try to do more thorough research in the future.
It's always possible that that MMO Sugar Rush was canceled because there was a Disney movie called "Wreck-It Ralph" in development at the same time that features an arcade game called "Sugar Rush". This leads me to believe that it's possible the developers of that MMO were afraid of trademark issues with the Walt Disney Company.
From what I can tell, the two are unrelated. But the idea that an entire game would be canceled over a name is idiotic. If Disney had that much of a problem and told them they couldn't use the name, they'd just change the name instead of stopping production of the game entirely. And plus, how would they even enforce a trademark of something as nebulous as "sugar rush" which is a common phrase? Even if we ignore the fact that it would be hard to enforce something like that on a movie that wasn't even released, your theory is flimsy at best.
Love this vid! It's interesting to see the range of media that's lost, and to hear about some lesser known pieces compared to the overexamined shows and pilots most channels have already covered!
Remote Control featured a very young Adam Sandler as a sort of comic relief on the show. It seems crazy that the show is lost, I'm sure MTV/Viacom still has all of it.
If you make another installment in you lost media videos, I know a good piece you can add. The original version of “Let’s Get Dangerous” from the DuckTales reboot. In the original version, Nega Duck was set to make his return in this episode after the season 2 episode “The Duck Knight Rises,” but his appearance was cut and the script was reworked. More information on the episode is on the DuckTales Wikipedia page, the Disney Wikipedia page, and there’s even an early animatic of the episode here on RUclips.
Chipmunks Go To the Movies is considered lost albeit a couple episodes were released on VHS around 1990 but the series hasn't been seen or shown in the United States since it's original broadcast.🤔📺😮📼
Super Bowl II is also important as it's the first time the actual name was used. There looks to be a pretty cool compilation video of footage and player info by a dude called Lizard Outlaw So at least something's out there.
I know this video is old but I was rewatching this and I wanted to add that there was an MTV Remote Control video game for the Commodore 64! I know this because my dad just bought a copy of it! we haven't played it yet, but I haven't seen anyone else mention it :)
Marvel super heroes omega is a lost game that cant be played or viewed. It dissappeared overnight months ahead of the scheduled cancellation that came out of nowhere after running for like 4 years
I know this video is 2 years old but he is wrong about remote control there are old videos from 2016 on you tube that are full episodes of the show even lost media wiki says about 80 percent of the shows run is on youtube love your work but you kind of drop the ball on that one

As the person who wrote the lost media wiki article on Mario Bros. VB it was cool to see here. I hope it gets found someday.
