You mean like how every fan theorise this for Episode 8? No. That's just bad fanfiction. There is just nothing interesting about the idea. It would just make it look like their bloodline is what caused them to be like this and not their own choice
The fact that concept art exists and wasn't chosen for movie is proof that the people running the literal show now are incompetent and have no interest in giving us what we want.
McLovin how can you say this is a lazy film when there wasn’t a lot of sgi but yet it’s that good if you don’t like it ( which you don’t because your a batyboy) then don’t say it
ITz Alwxyss Try to look over the effects and cgi put into this film and actually pay attention to the story the trilogy tells, seems like they tried so hard to cover up ep 8 and put no real attention to these boring characters (ray, finn, Poe, rose being a great example) so many characters being added to the series with no real reasonings in any films just adds confusion, thus a lazy film
"two halves of the same whole" "if the dyad came together, then it's power would be immeasurable" YOU HAD A PERFECTLY WONDERFUL CONCEPT AND YOU COULD NOT BRING YOURSELF TO FOLLOW THROUGH WITH IT, COULD YOU?
I think when the sith was absorbing their power together, and he inflicted that huge massive lightening destroying everything, to show how powerful he became because of the dyad power. Nonetheless it's still vague of a dyads true potential and didn't show the extent of it.
Not yet another Anime avatar I definitely agree she should have been a true Palpatine and fell towards the dark and Ben would have had to defeat her like a true skywalker and then he would have killed the last Palpatine. And continued the true skywalker blood line
And immediately disband the fleet, jail the ones taking slaves and ordering troopers to slaughter villagers. Using the resources that built that fleet to build schools and hospitals on places like Jakku...
2:42-3:03 man I love that bit so much. Just the handful of notes as she walks up and we get a flash back to the last great battle for the universe. It's powerful and sad
I honestly thought before I saw the last movie she would convert after Ben returned to the light side and he’d have to win her back. That would have been cool. That, and BOTH of them battle Palpatine. We didn’t even get that. Damn.
Luke was guided in a very similar way at Bespin (doors opening in front of him and closing behind him). Luke also saw himself as a Sith at Dagobah (he also fought against his own vision)... it's like watching fragments of previous movies stuck together by a group deprived of any storytelling creativity. The one great thing we all got from Disney Star Wars was the return of John Williams and his music. His scene was also quite memorable :)
Seeing and hearing the old music in throne room gives me goosebumps. I wish they added more old music and more darth rey. I thought she did turn and Palp took over her and they’d have to extract the darkness, like dark empire. The one we got was weak ending fight
This idea that she was going to turn to the dark side in this movie was never believable for a moment. It was a completely empty threat. She'd already proven she was incorruptible in the last movie. Just a totally, tiresomely, good, good person, who only wants to help others, and has no aspiration of personal gain to speak of. What they needed to do was turn her at the end of The Last Jedi. Take Kylo's hand, run the First Order with him. Everything was set perfectly for it. They could have walked it back, undone it, said she was only joining to destroy it from within, or corrupted her completely and then turned Kylo to the light against her. Anything. That would have been an amazing ending, and could have led to a truly amazing finale.
Yep, literally every part of Rey going to the dark side was so pointless because everyone knew it won't happen. She rejected the dark side so it's not like she would become a sith for half of the movie and then turn around for its finale. Luke leaning towards the dark side was something much deeper. It was not about him becoming evil, it was about making the wrong decisions. The dark side is supposed to devour the person, not do a u-turn and suddenly go "well, looks like I'm the bad guy now".
yes except how. She didn't need to run the New First Order with Kylo. She needed reject that hand. She attempted to kill Kylo and all these movies forget that.. She needed to be freeballin sith falling right into the palms of a greater evil, herself, and Kylo having made mistakes falls back to the good Force with Luke's ghost to save her.
It would of made sense to make her dark and have Fin become a jedi who turns Kylo to the light, then finally taking on an extremely powerful Empress. But yeah...
Evil Rey doesn’t really have a “Darth” name; we just call her “Empress Palpatine”. Also “Darth Ray” is a bad name, it should sound cool like “Darth Sidious” or “Darth Tyranus” or “Darth Maul” or “Darth Vader” or “Darth Caedus” or “Darth Malgus” or “Darth Desolous”, you know what I mean.
Darth names are typically chosen from words that mean something bad. She could be a massive amount of names but Disney doesn’t like the Darth title because of what it means. To be a Darth is to be death itself. The such a concept is forbidden in the eyes of micky mouse.
Awww. The thumbnail drew me in. Since she was a melancholy little girl, sitting upon the throne as the Empress of Darkness was all Wednesday Addams aspired to be. Goals, girl!
It's a Sith legend. Darth Plagueis was a Dark Lord of the Sith, so powerful and so wise he could use the Force to influence the midichlorians to create life.
@mickor Do you even know the definition of the word " asexual " ? Asexuality is the lack of sexual attraction to others, or low or absent interest in or desire for sexual activity. So what you say is Daisy Ridley is asexual but I'm asking you, what does that have to do with me finding Daisy Ridley physically attractive ? You apparently weren't gifted with great intellect since you don't even know the definition of the words you're using. Come on what were you trying to say Timmy ? But nice thinking a 27 years old woman is " asexual, like a ten years old boy ". I don't know what's more disturbing : your lack of intelligence or the fact that you're able to see a young boy when looking at some women.
To me as a musician the most outlandish about the JJ Abrams Star Wars films is the reuse of music recordings of previous movies. Like in 2:35. It's such a strange choice to not let John Williams write new music, but to not even re-record cues. They literally took the recordings from the 70's and 80's ripped it from the scenes, they were intended for and slapped it on this new scenes. Two examples: The reuse of the "Dies irae" - motive when Rey chatches the lightsaber at the end of "The Force Awakens" makes zero sense. And the theme, when Luke lifts the X-Wing out of the water in "The Rise of Skywalker" is Yoda's theme. Yes, it's the same cue, as when Yoda lift's the X-Wing from the swamp in "The Empire Strikes Back" but still... it's Yoda's theme and thus makes it out of place in "The Rise of Skywalker".
One detail that Abrams didn't pay attention to when they re created the Emperor's throne room on the second Death Star is the only way in or out of the throne room was an elevator. And the throne room was in the center of a spire or skyhook that we get one exterior glimpse of in Return of the Jedi as 2 Tie Interceptors fly past it. There was no hallway with a door on one side that leads into it.
Sam Clegg I didn’t say it wasn’t good. I’m saying it had wasted potential. With the recent concept art of Kylo Ren visiting the old jedi temple on coruscant along with underutilizing the most infamous Sith Lord in Star Wars history and many other deleted content....this movie definitely had wasted potential.
Amen. Dark Rey could have had such importance at showing, for example, what Kylo Ren wanted from Sidious at first, but then he could have rejected it by realizing that as he incarnates the dark, Rey is the light and they need one another to bring balance to the Force.
If only Disney had the balls to follow through with this idea and make it part of the actual story instead of just a hallucination/vision. The film should have ended with Rey on the dark side and Ben on the light and they battle
Exactly it'd make sense, instead they wiped all bloodline of skywalkers when they were the chosen ones in the prophecy, instead they moved away from the plot and raised a Palpatine to catfish as a skywalker in the end lol.
I told all my friends the very night we say Force Awakens that she was somehow related to Palpatine because of how fast she was using the Force, beating Kylo so easily, yada yada....that Finn was also Force-sensitive since he survived for a short while fighting Kylo with a lightsaber, and that she would bring about the death of Kylo by the end of the story. They all (8 of them) bet me $50 that I would be wrong. Now I can afford to buy as much toilet paper as I want.
I hope they bring out another film, if you saw the ending the ex stormtrooper like Finn was talking to Lando about where he was from, so I hope they do something with that.
My theory is that Ben/Kylo Ren and Rey were the new representations of the "Brother and Sister" from Mortis and Luke may have also been the new "father" or the grey counterpart of the trio.
What would of been bananas would be if there were actually 2 reys...and Sidious wanted both...like Vader and Luke and Leia...and this Force version of Rey could still be manipulated with execute "order 66"....or maybe palp possessed her at the end of ROS without the audience knowing it...when Kylo Force-urrected her...it was unevitable.
I really love these Sequels. They got a fresh new flavour... a new era. Hard to understand for some, but it works! STAR WARS VETERAN FAN SINCE 1981. Writer of 3 books upon S.W. Spain-Europe.

OK I didnt like 7 and 8. But 9 in my humble opinion was a REAL Star Wars movie! I teared up. Laughed out loud and many moments were very exciting and moving.
What would of been really cool when Rey was fighting against palpatine once she fell to the ground in defeat she hear all the voices inside her telling her to rise up and one by one each force ghost appeared to stand with her Yoda anniken Luke. Leaha and obi wan Kenobi appears that would of been hot
No i think all the jedi ghostes should have killed him and name the movie revenge of the jedi. And Ben still being at the light side and ending up with saying Rey Solo❤ And holding hands with the sunset (as skywalker tradition) that would be the perfect movie
This would have made much more sense. To have Rey fall to the dark side. Because the way she fights through out the films, she's grunting and screaming and stuff. She's clearly very angry. And that's not the Jedi way. The film should not have ended with her being "all of the Jedi", because from what we've seen of her, she isn't a Jedi. She may still be A hero, but she's still an agent of the Dark Side.
Someone tempted to the dark side wouldn't decide to go hungry to save a 'droid. The dark side people are the sort of kids that pick the wings off of bugs for fun.
Better ending: Rey strikes down palpatine, becoming the new Darth Sidious. Ben returns to the light and goes to exegol to face Rey. The battle with the free world fleet and the final order still happen how it did. Once Ben arrives on exegol he sees Rey turned to the dark and force grabs both anakin and leias sabers. The knights of ten arrive and Ben fights and kills them except it’s a bit longer. After word Rey grabs the double bladed saber from a secret compartment in the throne. She and Ben fight with a mix of battle of heroes and duel of fates in the background. The free world fleet destroys the final order up above and Rey uses force lightning to kill Ben. Ben blocks it with the savers and causes a massive explosion killing them both. Finn and the gang arrive beneath and bring them back to Ajann Kloss ( the jungle planet) everyones happy and the thing with the planets and the falling destroyers happen except we get some prequel planets like Kamino ,Naboo and Geonosis. The movie ends with Rey and Bens body’s in an unlit bonfire. Maz Kanata places Anakins, Luke’s, and Leias sabers in the unlit fire as well (don’t ask where she got Luke’s saber. Finn lights the fire and everyone watches as the sabers and the body’s burn. The force ghosts of all the Jedi can be seen in the background and Rey and bens force ghosts appear and the camera pans up to the moon as the force theme ends. And then credits. Tell me in reply’s what you think of my version of the ending
I enjoyed the sequels but I must admit this is one is great especially the lighting of fire at Rey and Ben's bodies cause it symbolizes the end of the Rivalry of Palpatine and Skywalker Bloodline that reshaped the history of the Galaxy.
Splash'n'Skillz #37 hey I asked for your honest opinion. Thanks for the feedback. I just thought that them both dying was better than one being dead and one alive
Because think about this the emperor said it best him comming back from the dead was unatural so the only way to Fight him is all the jedi of the past force ghosts would have to come back in that ghost form to assist Rey theoretically speaking she can't deal with him he on a whole supernatural darkside force power right so they would have to combine all the jedi forces together to send him back where he came from ...then they can say now you can go on to rebuild the jedi order in piece
If the Dyad is 2 individuals that are 2 halfs of 1 soul in the Force so why is Rey super strong not her other half Ben? How a Dyad even function when 1 half dies?
I think the major problem with Rey is that you need to read the novels to truly understand what is going on in her head because majority of this trilogy was based on emotion and facial expressions so how can the audience know how conflicted Rey was if majority of it happens in her thoughts. We only knew how conflicted Kylo Ren was because characters said he was and Adam Driver made it obvious in his performance since J.J. Abrams told him how his story would end before filming even began for TFA.
she likes it or not, she´s Rey Palpatine and the intense power of the dark side runs thrown her veins, she was gorgeous as a Sith Empress, she should have stayed that way and run the galaxy.......... well her child would do then
This is how i think it shpuld have ended. All the jedi ghostes should have killed him and name the movie revenge of the jedi. And Ben still being at the light side and ending up with saying Rey Solo when the woman asks who they are❤ And holding hands with the sunset (as skywalker tradition) that would be the perfect movie
Palpatine is so stupid. How can he expect to turn Rey to the darkside without telling her the tragedy of Darth Plagueis the Wise.

What would of been really cool when Rey was fighting against palpatine once she fell to the ground in defeat she hear all the voices inside her telling her to rise up and one by one each force ghost appeared to stand with her Yoda anniken Luke. Leaha and obi wan Kenobi appears that would of been hot
Teach us Lord Chris Terrio!!! you are the best wreiter in human history!!!
rey should have killed palpatine to own her body and have a fight against a redeemed kylo, and then the force ghosts help him to defeat palpatine
...actually we HAVE been saying that *before* the movie came out, but it is what it is.
Hell no! That would have been shitty watching the hero we've been following become the bad guy.
Anyone know if those prop sabers were built or they bought from a vendor? I'd guess Vader Vault.
i'm not saying dark rey could step on me but she absolutely could
Better ending: Rey strikes down palpatine, becoming the new Darth Sidious.
Crusade man I love it you did a good job😊
I enjoyed the sequels but I must admit this is one is great especially the lighting of fire at Rey and Ben's bodies cause it symbolizes the end of the Rivalry of Palpatine and Skywalker Bloodline that reshaped the history of the Galaxy.
Not a fan of them both dying
BUT... that was pretty good
Splash'n'Skillz #37 hey I asked for your honest opinion. Thanks for the feedback. I just thought that them both dying was better than one being dead and one alive
@@kev._._._. well that's what I gave
Me in my mind: Rey Solo ReY sOlO, REY SOLO!
Writing it as they went along.
I prefer Dark Rey to be an actual person, rather than an apparition. She would have been an excellent villain in the Sequel Trilogy.
God, Rey shouldn’t have been this powerful.
Who thinks they should keep going with the Star Wars movies!
how is there electric doors in the deathstar when it was obliterated after return of the jedi?
Retconning and lazy writing can bring anything back.
Jedi & Padawan Darth Sith'ari & Abeloth
They’re brother and sister.
How did they make two reys in one place with them in the same room?
Because think about this the emperor said it best him comming back from the dead was unatural so the only way to Fight him is all the jedi of the past force ghosts would have to come back in that ghost form to assist Rey theoretically speaking she can't deal with him he on a whole supernatural darkside force power right so they would have to combine all the jedi forces together to send him back where he came from ...then they can say now you can go on to rebuild the jedi order in piece
I like all the videos on this channel❤
Rey is so hot
And I thought Disney was good at making evil queens
If the Dyad is 2 individuals that are 2 halfs of 1 soul in the Force so why is Rey super strong not her other half Ben?
How a Dyad even function when 1 half dies?
In a way, the story could have ended like the Peacekeeper story in Knights of the Eternal Throne. That would have been nice.
How is this behind the scene when 3 quarters of the clip are just cuts from the movie?
I wonder if that was one her Sisters
I think the major problem with Rey is that you need to read the novels to truly understand what is going on in her head because majority of this trilogy was based on emotion and facial expressions so how can the audience know how conflicted Rey was if majority of it happens in her thoughts.
We only knew how conflicted Kylo Ren was because characters said he was and Adam Driver made it obvious in his performance since J.J. Abrams told him how his story would end before filming even began for TFA.
Totally agree with this
What?
she likes it or not, she´s Rey Palpatine and the intense power of the dark side runs thrown her veins, she was gorgeous as a Sith Empress, she should have stayed that way and run the galaxy.......... well her child would do then
Not gon lie, Daisy Ridley could legit play a young witch in a horror movie and make it creepy as hell
See Famke Janssen in "Hansel and Gretel, Witch Hunters".
fun fact: kylo ren could have ended the all 3 movies with pushing rey to her death in the force awakens
Where did you get the name Star Wars coffee
so this is real but obviously not taking it in the movie and is that Daisy ridler?
