The ORIGINAL ENDING for Ant-Man & The Wasp: Quantumania 👀

  • Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania is a movie full of big talking points, but would you be shocked to learn it once had a very different ending? All that and more is revealed in this resurfaced plot leak.
In recent years, Marvel Studios has been forced to contend with more plot leaks than ever before. With that in mind, we're not exactly shocked that they're now looking to tighten up security and limit who attends screenings.
A few weeks ago, set photos showed the Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania cast back on set shooting new scenes for the movie. That's last-minute even for Marvel Studios, and now we've watched the threequel, it's clear Paul Rudd and company were there to film a new ending for Phase 5's opening chapter.
Last October, a detailed plot breakdown for the latest Ant-Man adventure started doing the rounds and, honestly, we didn't pay it the attention it deserved. Now, though, we can confirm its legitimacy, especially as it was both incredibly accurate and included details only someone who had watched the movie would know.
However, there are some significant differences, specifically in regards to an alternate ending. We're sure you're keen to know what that entailed and have all the details for you here!
    Kang's Mission
For the most part, the leak from October matches what we've watched in theaters. Kang the Conqueror was still desperate to escape the Quantum Realm, but his relationship with Janet was explored in perhaps a little more detail.
She calls him "Nathaniel" at one point, for example, a reference to the fact Kang's true name is Nathaniel Richards. In the comic books, the villain is thought to be a direct descendant of Reed Richards (or possibly Doctor Doom), but the reveal is one Marvel Studios may now be saving for a project deeper into the Multiverse Saga.
In this cut, Kang also panned to make Janet's reality the first he conquered upon escaping as a means of revenge.
New Looks For Ant-Man And The Wasp.
We're unsure whether this leaker saw a cut of the film with unfinished VFX, but they revealed that both Scott Lang and Hope Van Dyne would get new costumes in Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania's final act.
Both characters were set to don all-black suits, with Hope's wings compared to "lightsabers."
Despite this significant change, their respective costumes would have still had red and yellow accents, and we're presuming Hank Pym's army of technologically advanced intelligent ants created these for them. As for why they were cut, it's possible the overhauled suit designs were deemed superfluous to the story.
    Kang Escapes!
We know many of you have been left flabbergasted by the decision to kill Kang the Conqueror, but it seems that was a last-minute decision on Marvel Studios' part as Avengers: The Kang Dynasty begins to take shape.
Just like in the theatrical cut, Janet, Hank, Cassie, and Hope all return to Earth, only for Scott to be confronted by a vengeful, battle-damaged Kang. They fight, but the villain escapes even after The Wasp returns to lend Ant-Man a helping hand. With that, they're left trapped in the Quantum Realm just as Janet once was.
Kang didn't head through the same doorway as our heroes from best we can tell, and Hope tells Scott that when she saw all those different versions of herself in the probability storm, she realised she didn't want to live a life without him (aww).
    A Cliffhanger Ending
With Kang on the loose and Ant-Man and The Wasp stuck in the Quantum Realm, Hank and Cassie set about attempting to find them.
In the movie's final moments, we no longer see Scott agonise over whether stopping Kang was a terrible mistake; instead, Cassie is running countless simulations across multiple computers, with her eyes going wide after she sees something. The screen then cuts to black, leaving us to wonder whether they were rescued.
There's no mention of post-credits scenes in this leak, but we'd bet at least one was once much different.
As for why Marvel decided against Kang surviving, we have to assume it's because they didn't want to paint themselves into a corner where the Conqueror would then have to immediately target Earth-616 as he vowed after being trapped by Janet. This sounds like a better ending in a lot of ways, but only time will tell how the Multiverse Saga progresses from here...

It’s interesting how even though he escaped, kang is still looming over him. Not only the existential crisis, but the constant purples and greens in the last scene. Plus I feel like the people on the street were being weirder than before. Everything is heightened and off putting to make you question reality and whether kang is in control of it. I’m fine with the ending we got. I feel the purpose of this Kang was just to give you a solid introduction of him outside of he who remains. Though the original sounds cool, we still have many movies and shows to get to before Kang dynasty. we have to remember that he who remains did Tease that the avengers would have to deal with multiple Kang variants. So I’m not shocked that this version was defeated because the other nearly infinite amount wouldn’t be utilized really and we still have Kang dynasty and secret wars to see this main villain in peak.

Kang got his ass kicked, that was the big message to the casual fans, which is probably why Kang is being laughed at from the post credit scene. Marvel talked a big game and turned him into a joke. Now that wasn’t their intention but that’s how the majority of movie goers saw it. Just like hulk being “scared of thanos” is misinterpreted in infinity war.

i like the alt ending a lil but i also have a hard time thinking of a way for them to resolve.
    - kang repeatedly said that his getting out prevents his variants from destroying the world (he probably meant that he would instead i think). his true enemies are the council that exiled him, so he'll start a war with them instead. maybe this works by having this kang be a temporary coop partner to the avengers in the multiversal war and loki could turn him into he who remains and end the war once and for all, a sort of self fulfilling prophecy. meanwhile, the kang dynasty in this movie wages war with the avengers because they're come ever closer to discovering kd's crimes, so this conflict feels more personal.
    - scott and hope being stuck makes their decisions to sacrifice themselves to prevent kang more meaningful, but when would they get out? would they get out in f4 when reeds masters spatial travel even down to the microverse, or will they get out in another "on your left" moment in avengers kang dynasty?
ultimately, i would have loved if marvel took those risks. the premises they create are already exciting. however, the mcu is also a very tightly monitored and controlled project, because one thing has to feed into another. they avoid taking risks because of this, which makes for boring movies, especially considering how they play to release 2 avengers movies in the same year, which i think will have the kd as the main villains in akd and the skrulls in asw

So kevin fiege ( sorry if i speeled his last name wrong lol) said that this time they will be two big bads one from space and one from earth..
Now he never did say or Denied what those big bads are.. we already know that the earths big bad is kang.. now what if an this dose make sense the cosmic big bad is also kang but kang who becomes the beyonder..
So at the end of ant-man and the wasp quantumania we see scoot jam sever diffret pym disk in kangs time core. 3 blue and 3 red.
(Blue to grow big and red to shrink small) so there already in the quantum realm now so it would not be all that impossible if that kang got suck not to another timeline but to the realm beyon all time..
An yes he can come back. How easy. Scott has given him what he needs to come home.
The pym Particle that along with time energy streem. I think kang has Absorbed all three into his suit an he will be make seriously upgrades and modifications to it..
So yes i think we are still getting two big bads one from earth and one from space but i think there both kangs...

Newho yeah bcuz the internet ruins everything we all knew the ending so I'm okay they changed it because leaks r outta control. Unironically people blaming Marvel for changing ending instead of the leakers a UYers who did it.
I loved the movie anyway and how it ended, I do hate people think Ant Man beat Kang which is not what happen at all.

    • @Nazoto
      @Nazoto Год назад +2

It can still make sense cause he could be anywhere in time... Time is irrelevant to Kang so they can just say he started the war two years later or in the future or in the past. We don't even know when it's happening really.

    • @betterthanemril988
      @betterthanemril988 Год назад +2

It’s too early. We still have 2 1/2 years before Kang dynasty. I feel like this ending would make sense if it were one of the last couple films before Kang dynasty. Like how Thor ragnarok was to infinity war. But we’re still getting our foot in phase 5 and an entire phase 6 to get through.

      Problems with this movie:
      - SCRIPT
      - Visual effects are terrible
      - Ending
      - Awkward imbalance of cast members
      - Non-cohesive tone
      - Poorly done humor
