Guys, I've been blown away by your support for this series so far. Thank you so much for the kind words 🙏 I hope you'll enjoy this second part where we begin our trek around the Annapurna Circuit! Part three will be out Friday 19th July 😁🇳🇵
Thank you so much. This is really the biggest compliment I could get 🙏🏼 I think eventually I would love to have something streaming on an Amazon or Netflix...but RUclips is great too! I'm glad to hear you think it's that good :) thanks for taking the time to watch
You guys are extremely good at storytelling. After watching your first Nepal video, I lost your channel in the sea of YT channels. Watching your video from Canada, I have been biased towards Nepalese travel vlogs for a while now because my heart isn't here. However, 7 minutes into this video, and now I would like to follow your travel vlogs elsewhere too, hence, subbed. I lived in Ireland for over 7 years during my 20s and traveled countless times by bus to visit my girlfriend in the middle of Ireland from Dublin. I used to watch movies on my mobile during my journeys without any problem, so fantastic. However, I still miss them unforgiving bus journeys back home. I am so excited to go through your Nepal journey right now and beyond.
Ah thank you for the kind words! I appreciate you taking the time to watch the series and it gives you many happy memories of Nepal 😁🙏 thanks for your support. There is something about these crazy bus journeys...even thought it sent me a bit mad by the end, I still had a lot of fun and would probably do it again
Found your videos yesterday and have thoroughly enjoyed seeing this amazing place again through your channel…Thank you…but Wow! Things have really changed in 26 years! You encountered some luxury…. I did it at the age of 48 with a friend…no guides…it was a life changing experience. After Nepal we took buses, tuk tuks and trains to Varanassi, India staying for 6 weeks on the Ganges…the onto Calcutta by train (12 hours in the cheap seats). Finally onto Thailand as it was getting to hot in India 110*. Stayed in Thailand for another month…then back to the states…Trip of a lifetime..5 solid months. So thanks I’m flooded with wonderful memories.
That sounds like an absolute belter of a trip. Fantastic! It's really quite a feat to do this with no guide or extra help...props to you and your mate. Thanks for taking the time to watch 🙏🏼 very happy to hear how it's brought back so many memories for you
...this is excellent, honest, respectful, humorous and well filmed... seen many trekking videos of the area, and especially also Annapurna circuit... this is top notch... see you in the next sequence... ☺🙏💖
Thank you so much 😁🙏 really appreciate you taking the time to watch the series. I poured a lot of blood, sweat and tears into the project so I'm humbled to hear how much people like yourself are enjoying watching
Your videos are a huge source of calm and comfort for me, especially when I have bad nights of insomnia. You've also inspired me in my mountain climbing journey to try reaching the Annapurna Circuit myself one day- immensely grateful to you!

Thanks so much for this 🙏🏼 really it means a lot to hear that you have been there yourself and this video takes you back. That's what I was hoping for :) and I appreciate you recommending to others - that helps me out so much. Cheers!
Thoroughly enjoyed your documentary series. You managed to make this very personal (Which adds much joy to this as you are clearly a very sincere and genuine person) and unique, yet still capturing the magic thriving in that area of the world. The editing and music choice is top notch. I am sure I speak for many saying we look forward to your future work and projects.
Thanks so much for this lovely comment - makes my day! Sorry it took a while to get back to you. Really appreciate you taking the time to watch the series and so glad you enjoyed it 😁🙏 it was a lot of hard work and effort to shoot and edit this, but it's all totally worth it when I see feedback like yours

Wow great video. How did you manage the bad smells on the long bus rides? I’d be gagging the whole time. Looks like rugged wild bus rides on bumpy winding roads. Nice contrast when you arrive! I love simple! Looks like it was worth it all. What an amazing experience! Thanks!
Thanks so much for taking the time to watch these, I really appreciate it 🙏 hahaha the smells - I think I was probably the cause of the bad smells by the end of that bus journey! With the windows open it's not too bad 😁 it's certainly an experience neither of us will ever forget

Really nice video series, guys. I went back to Annapurna in 2022 for a third time after a 30 year hiatus, and was well worth it. Did the same with the Khumbu last year (3 passes/Gokyo/EBC). Lots of changes since the 80’s and 90’s in both reason. Keep up the good work, and hope this tripped inspired you to many more in the big mountains.
Cheers Greig, much appreciated 🙏 I would've loved to see what it was like 30 years back! Despite the encroachment of the road and development, it's still enchanting and I think they're making an effort to build new paths and trails away from the road. And yes I'd say this trip was the first of many...once you get a taste, you just have to keep going back. The 3 passes is very much on my radar - it sounds amazing over that way!
@@JoshEdwardsFilms really appreciate the way you treat the people, landscape and culture with respect and dignity. Yep, thirty years ago was very different, but there have been a lot of positives to offsets the negatives of change, particularly on the Marsayandi side (better lodges, WiFi, food choice, more company, real toilets !! etc etc - Marsayandi valley was very rustic back then ( I even remember maggot toilets, and Phedi was a dump ). There were no trekking guides back then, and nobody that I can remember had porters. First time I was on that side was a climbing expedition to Gangapurna, so spent a lot of time in Manang, and it was a three lodge town then 😎😎. Go and make sure you do the 3 passes. Gokyo especially is worth the trip alone. Looking forward to seeing the rest of your Annapurna series when it drops ……. Greig

@@Cryptokingbali thanks so much mate 🙏🏼 glad you enjoyed it! And cool that you're off to indo haha, where are you headed? I'm currently here in Lombok yes!
Haha yes it was! I only got one or two more walks out of those shoes...gear-wise, maybe I'll get into that properly on a Q&A. Everything came out worse for wear...I crashed the drone once or twice (it's a miracle it was still flying), my rucksack straps really started to fall apart by the end, a lot of my camera batteries didn't ever charge properly after the cold nights at high altitude 😬 I learned a lot!
The first time I watched a person (Harald Baldr) walk this trail I was imagining how his joints must have been in full-on protest at the end of each day.
Haha yes it's a good point! The first few days it certainly feels that way...your body is wondering what's going on. But it's amazing how quickly the body adapts to a new rhythm and routine. By day three or four, it felt totally normal to be covering anywhere from 10 to 16km a day
I am 77 and I enjoyed “trekking” with you. Your photography (videography) is of a professional quality. Can’t wait to see part 3 tomorrow. I think you have the potential of gaining a hundred thousand subscribers or more. One side note: I found your “off-color” language disrespectful of the western world. And a poor display of our values. The most offensive was the “J - - - s C - - - - t.” I hope you take this with the measure of grace that I offer to you.
Hello Lesliey, thanks so much for the very kind words 🙏 really glad you're enjoying the series :) I wanted it to feel as if you as the viewer were joining along in the adventure, so I'm glad that's the case! And I appreciate your feedback. My own mother has a similar dislike of the language, so I always try to tone that down and edit as much as possible. I suspect if I were to air these types of series on TV one day I'd need to reign that in. I don't recall where that exact phrase was used - could you let me know? I'd like to review it because the "C" word wouldn't usually get passed my radar - it's too much
Ahh never mind, I understand what you're referencing now! Apologies if that was offensive. I'm leaning more towards bleeping out expletives in future work 🙏 I hope you enjoy the rest of the series for what it is 😁

@@JoshEdwardsFilms eagerly waiting for part 3 .
@@SmilingAstrolabe-tr6iz haha thank you! It's a good one, with some really beautiful mountains in Upper Pisang :) I will share next Friday
Next time visit chitwan national park too .
Yes definitely! I visited in 2022 after the Annapurna Circuit but didn't film any video. I hope to go back some time soon...very cool place
❤❤❤❤
🙏🙏🙏
We took the bus back from Pokhara to Kathmandu, definitely a trip we will never forget😂
Ahh dude I've done that journey one too many times...it's an adventure, that's for sure 👀 you know our pain watching this bus sequence 😂
Your foot gear must have been destroyed by the time you got back.
Did you have any redundant essentials, and what didn't survive the trip?
Haha yes it was! I only got one or two more walks out of those shoes...gear-wise, maybe I'll get into that properly on a Q&A. Everything came out worse for wear...I crashed the drone once or twice (it's a miracle it was still flying), my rucksack straps really started to fall apart by the end, a lot of my camera batteries didn't ever charge properly after the cold nights at high altitude 😬 I learned a lot!
When you sayed " there. Was no free wifi" i felt that.. 😂😂 many have been tricked by that.
😂 yep! Never trust a bus sign that says "free wifi" haha

❤😮
😁🙏
What's a view
I know right? It's breathtaking...never been anywhere as beautiful as that
Hey Josh, how many days you took for the whole trek?
Hey mate :) I think it was about 18 days from Kathmandu and back! I'll add this in to my Q&A to elaborate a little more
The first time I watched a person (Harald Baldr) walk this trail I was imagining how his joints must have been in full-on protest at the end of each day.
Haha yes it's a good point! The first few days it certainly feels that way...your body is wondering what's going on. But it's amazing how quickly the body adapts to a new rhythm and routine. By day three or four, it felt totally normal to be covering anywhere from 10 to 16km a day
👍
🙏
