Wow!!! How much it has changed. I did the Annapurna circle in 1981. In those days the hike started in Pokara all the way to Muktinat across the pass and all the way back on the other side. 30 days of pure delight.
It must be pure adventure in those days. Golden time for Himalaya climbing and trekking. Ma father was there (far far West region) and me two times 1999 & 2005. Turism in high peak but I was lucky to cought last days of full walk from Besisahar to Pokhara.
So sad to see just a chunk of it done these days.
Wow
Amazing. Would you consider your ascents more dangerous due to different climbing tech from then vs now?
@@GTFBITK Not real need for climbing gear. Just a good pair of hiking boots really.
If you walk the path over the footbridge at Besishahar, there is a beautiful trail far from the dust and you will find delightful villages along the way. You’ll be in Jagat in no time. No need for Jeeps! This is true for the entire circuit back to Nayapool.
Hi Thanks for the infor. I will be doing the trek in two weeks . Can I get more infor about this trail from besishar?
Agree. I did the whole thing in Dec and Jan and made sure I walked every step.
@@talvillager same was back in 2018 when I did it also went for a swim in tilicho lake was cold but an experience and one to repeat.
Such amazing scenery. And yes, Sal, you're right: "Adventure is what fuels the soul."

It is a wonderful experience. My girlfriend (now days my wife) did it in 1989. It looks a bit more sophisticated now days though. The Nepalese people are wonderful, especially the people that live in the villages.... We loved it so much, we went back in 2017 and probably will go back one more time.
Wow nice sir plz come..again.

Good commentary, like how you portrait your information. Keep it up.
Thanks! Let us know if we can help organise a trip:-) We have some upcoming dates and group departures if you were interested in embarking on the Annapurna Circuit!
Completed the Circuit 2 weeks ago, we started at Jagat and walked pretty much the same route as you only we carried on to Marpha before driving to Pokhara, and then flying to Kathmandu. Watching your video has brought back some very happy memories, thank you.
That's so good to hear! Glad you enjoyed the video!
Wow imprecionante😱👍👍👍
Algún día lo intentaré, es una experiencia única
Thats a very informative and beautiful video :) I enjoyed it and thank you and safe travel 🙏
So glad you enjoyed it! Safe travels to you too!
Many would recommend the upper route instead of Lower-Pisang: Upper-Pisang -- Ghyaru -- Ngawal and then Manang (or stopping in Bhraka to go to the Ice-Lake). Upper-Pisang is pretty much at the same altitude as Manang so no need for a longer acclimatization in crowded Manang as usually recommended. Then from Manang starts the real adventure 😎
I will be in Nepal in oct. for Annapurna Circuits. Thanks, well-done!!
Always welcome! :)
Incredible video and wonderful inspiration. Am booked to do it in May ‘23 alone with guide to bring balance to life and clearly some additional planning and training to do. Keep sharing!
Thank you. Best of luck!

That's exactly what our guide Samir told us about food, "Daal chawal power, 24 hour" funny how it is the same. We did the Goeche La trek in April, 2022.

Annapurna visit best time
Sonam comes origin from Karikhola in Solukhumbu, not Mustang. Great guy, good buddy. We walked with him for the first time in 2011 to Mustang, later he managed EBC, Manaslu circuit, Tsum valley and Kangchendzönga BC for us. Last time we met him was 3 weeks ago. A good friend! :-)
Thanks for sharing your adventure, I can't wait to start my AC hike 🎉

Absolutely amazing trek that you guys had experienced. Well, what was the month exactly?
👍👍👍
Great trip, thanks for sharing. Didn't like the flare thing though - did you clean it afterwards?
👏👏👏👏
Great video! Really gave a good insight into what you are going to go through. How much training did you undergo before this trip? In how good shape should one be to be able to handle the hiking?
Hi Malthe, thanks so much!
Yes you should be in decent shape before undertaking the Annapurna Circuit. That said it is not a technical climb and does not require any prior experience or use of special equipment. Most importantly you should be capable of walking 6-8 hours per day.
In terms of training, beginning a training regime 2-3 months before is recommended. I have shared with you a blog article that we created that details the specifics:
followalice.com/knowledge/how-should-i-train-for-the-everest-base-camp-trek
I really hope this helped and please reach out if we can assist you in any ways! Are you interested in organising a trek? We have group departures running throughout the year if you would like to join one:-) Our team would be more than happy to chat with you if you like!
