I think it['s great these people are coming to you, the "rational" one in True Crime, not easily dazzled by twinkling conspiracy theories by staying focused on facts and evidence. My hope was that he was "waiting until she turned 13", but the arrest warrant suggests... well it's gut wrenching :(
Great interview, Gray. Stefan hiding in plain sight, like others we know. He sounds like an overgrown child himself. He's not displaying any responsible, adult behaviours that I can pick up on. I think Jen has no clue and totally trusted this perverted leach. Who knows if he really worked at Disney. Perhaps he lied about everything like Casey Anthony. Nothing would surprise me here. Tragic for young Madeline 😢.

@rachelburton8689 the mom has lied about the daughter being spotted on the webcams early that morning. On another Webcam the daughter was already dead - propped up in the car. There is a history of abuse Madeline's friends say was reported to school & they believed mother knew. So why did she continue to let a 37 year old man live in her house with no job. Disney was a brief gig. His past friends say they were broken up. A bad situation all the way around. At the very least, the mother is guilty of child endangerment.

As a female, if you look at her picture the day before the murder, the abdomen of the dress, her fullness in her body and face… I think she was likely pregnant I guess we’ll find out after the autopsy, but as a female, I do believe she has the appearance of being at least six months, pregnant or more. IMO
I think if she was that far along her mother would have noticed that.
If you see her in that dress in other pics, it doesn't look the same. I thought that originally, but then I saw some other angles and it doesn't appear the same.
According to the structure of the dress I can not tell in that pic and girls can do a huge body change at that age as boys can do. The daughter of the sister of my sil was a little, very slim baby faced child at 12 when I saw her last and around ten months later I saw a proper, taller, boobed, more matured face-changed teenager with hips. A very significant change. 😄

Great Interview Gray. I agree that the Mom's assumed 'deficit' helped him in the grooming process. In saying that, I am still sitting on the fence about Mom's knowledge, whether she knew and was not able to compute due to the deficit or if she was choosing him over her.
Married people still live together n are broke up n one lives downstairs n one lives upstairs.....BUT THIS GUY WAS MESSING WITH THIS LITTLE GIRL.
Me and my ex live together. He became handicap right as we was splitting up. He lived 6 months out of home but couldn't make it and no longer could work so I let him come back. He is my kids dad. They are already grown and didn't want them to have to take him in. It's not at all easy. But this situation is just wrong all the way around .
Gray, this is big. Great work man! If this goes to trial, we will see this man on the stand. He appears to be one of the only friends Stephan was on good terms with and seeing regularly leading up to the murder. He doesn't realize yet,, but here are probably minor things,,,conversations and behaviors he thought little of,, that will give big insight into events taking place behind close doors. I have not been on here in ages...life...but this case....no words. I am an RN in the ER at one of the top three busiest hospitals. There is no shortage of horrible people doing the most nefarious things to children. Never gets easy to hear but you do have to shut down a lot in order to do the job. All we can hope for is SOME form of justice for Madeline and the others out there. Great job with this case coverage. I think it speaks volumes that people call and trust you not to berate and skew their interviews.

Stefan reminds me of the guy that tried to kill me who had antisocial personality disorder.. he was like a mixed between Gabby Petitos boyfriend and him. Why. This guy, Stefan, has to be a Narcissist at minimum but I suspect Anti Social personality disorder. He can manipulate people into thinking "he's a great guy."He can manipulate his woman into thinking, "he is the man of my dreams and loves me and my kids so much." But after they move in, change. His demeanor during his girlfriend's interview was one of hovering, aggression by cracking knuckles and his hands on hip. His fake cry's with no tears... Gag. But yeah him posting on forums about spending time with the girls often and this show his true nature. Also, his eyes have that stare like my ex.

That was a really informative interview. Seems like Stephane was socially awkward, and immature. He was probably paranoid taking the Adderall which can happen. It certainly doesn’t justify any of his actions. He’s disgusting. I thought it was interesting that he was in his dad‘s car.
Very interesting hearing about the history from a friend. How Stephan dated and lived with Jen then breaking up and living back with his parents. Many lives ruined. Rip Maddie.

Thank you Gray for this interview. It clears up some things. According to the PCA (I'm paraphrasing) Mom called him to the house to take Maddie to school. So he didn't live there. What I am about to say, please understand it's a theory, of many. What if something happened between Mom and Maddie that morning and Mom killed her? She then freaks out, calls Stephan to "help her" and he disposes of Maddie's body. Yes he is a bastard for what he did to Maddie, committing SA, recording, etc. But what if he is covering for the Mom re her death? Maybe Maddie told her what has been going on OR she was pregnant OR she was going to tell, and the Mom flipped out? Just some thoughts in this weird case.

I don’t know if people have read the arrest affidavit/warrant. He hasn’t been charged with Maddie’s murder, yet. He is charged with S Battery and Possession of Material S Performance by Child. It puts the pics/videos recovered from his phone between the time period 03/20/2022 to 12/03/2023 and it stated that they were able to match bedding etc to say where they were filmed. That would mean, going off what this guy is saying, he would have to be going back to the house regularly when he and the mum were split up? I hope all these people ringing in are legit, and if so, contact the authorities.
Just got to the end where he said he called authorities and left a message. So happy to hear that.
This interview was pretty interesting. I felt the mother was medicated in that second interview that was done. Something was very off about her. This whole situation sounds strange. Seems he went back because he was worried this poor little girl would tell her mother. Very strange he still had a relationship with her even though she was broken up with him. I think he preyed on the mom. Sounds like she was mentally unwell.
He obviously has a parasitic and child like personality.
He made Jen feel sorry for him and got back in the house.
The autopsy should tell if she was pregnant.

I hate seeing lil girls with eye shadow and makeup on! Let them be little when there little! My daughter is 14 and she wears lipgloss and a lil blush. I wasn't allowed to wear makeup till I was 14

So if he was moved out and allegedly Madeline's mom was working nights how did he get a hold of Madeline that night. Did he call her (Madeline) and she let him in?

He picked up Madeline in the morning to take her to school I read the report . Mom called him according to her story told to the police

Ty Gray, that was an interesting interview with Stephans friend . What I would like to know is if any previous relationships prior to Jen had children ? Did he have nieces? I thought I heard something said about Madeline having a new bf or some guy from school that she had mentioned to her mom , aunt or friend that she was interested in . I can't recall who it was that Madeline had mentioned this to and who had talked about this. I find it hard to believe that Madeline was the first and only time he had done this to.
Oh he didnt need to work much cause his gpa died when we were friends and left a small inheritance for him. Thats where his gun and watch addiction started. It wasnt a fortune but using daddies connections of cheap rent or using one of their places its not a big deal for him. I mean the first he did with the money was buy an omega.

This is why speaking to different people is so interesting. You have three people who knew this monster and 2 of the 3 thought he was very bizarre while the other considers him nerdy, jobless much of the time, but otherwise very normal.
This is getting crazier and crazier by the day. It seems to me he was love bombing Jenn, keeping her close to be close to Madeline. Crazy but classic Narcissistic/sociopathic behavior. I’m very surprised to hear he technically wasn’t in a relationship with Jenn but I think he was leading her on also so he had somewhere to stay, unfortunately she was clueless as to his real motives. He always had money. They found CP on his phone. Dear GOD, it sounds like he may have been selling CP, imo. That woukd explain his unlimited resources. He was into tech, and his interest could've led him to the dark web, where the monsters lurk.
That's what I believe too. His parents owned Realty and Real Estate businesses, with access to properties all over FL, I imagine he has hidden cameras multiple places and selling these images. Horrible to think, but I think he's been doing this a long time.

I really do not know what to think of the Mom. Facts lead to his guilt, but the facts for her are wavering, but the one fact that stands out the most: she stated at one point, the last time she saw Maddie was at 8:00 Monday morning when she was getting dressed for school. At or around 7:30 that morning he was seen placing items that belong to Maddie in a dumpster. That does not add up.
Yeah, that is a major problem along with everything else she said in her interviews.
So men do not form a "strong bond" with a little girl. Moms??? Do not let your little girl play with a grown man.
The kid only ate candy, salt and v chips, tyson chicken tenders in a microwave or his moms no seasoning overcooked chicken.
Or a sandwiche.

I also wonder if the mom worked nights or what, what's was she? Did he have unfettered access to her alone, overnights? So many questions. The mom kept saying ,""we"" dropped her off....then it changed and she took herself out of the situation...I think he had a relationship with the girl and the Mom found out and they broke up over it....
And the kept seeing each other on the side and Madeline got pregnant and the Mom let him back in the home
Man, I really had a feeling that this guy was pulling a Casey Anthony in terms of having a job, and where. Casey lied, lied, and lied her butt off telling police she worked at Universal Studios. Something reallllly makes me wonder whether this guy makes his money by selling photos of his “stepdaughter”. I listened to the last interview with the other friend, and hearing how he had linked his computer with his friends to save some creepy stuff onto of his friend’s girlfriend… and how his mom paid off the guy to not report him. Something tells me this guy’s electronics are going to find a lot more stuff.

Very odd, definitely Stephan had major issue's. Not working, interested in children, staying with parents, and still had a car and money. He was lazy, not motivated. Check his past to see if he committed other crimes.

Seems to me this killer kept going back to the ex girlfriend s house for her daughter. Also, to note, the girl did not celebrate her birthday with her mom and the monster. She came back and showed her birthday gifts to them and went to bed, as stated by her mother.
Where was mom?
I was a single mom. I never left my son with anyone except my family that was trustworthy. There were weirdo's who wanted to voluntarily baby sit. I wasn't stupid. I had eyes open at all times. I had this sixth sense too. If I caught anyone bullying my son, momma bear came out. They became our best friends. Putting out that vibe and reputation of being one for boundaries goes a long way.
I have a hard time understanding why police have not contacted this man when he has reached out to them knowing so much. What in the world is up with that????

To me it paints a very clear picture of how good he was at hiding who he actually was and what he was doing. This guy knew him for years and never suspected he was up to no good either. Also think it’s interesting he lives in Port Charlotte and when the cops asked Jenn if she knew anyone that lived there, she only knew her friend. He had been going to this guy’s house for three years but never with her. Where else was he going she didn’t know about? I am also very curious where his money is coming from. Was he selling his parents stuff from the storage unit his dad didn’t think he had access to or was he selling his pics?

I am still confused after watching the moms full interview with local media, she said WE a lot, and she said they had video of her at the church where he claimed he dropped her off, and they watched her cross the street and hang out there for a while ??? .. yet police say she was not alive when he left the apartment, and he had thrown her laptop and backpack in the dumpster at the apartment??
Yeah there is definitely something off with the mom. The interview showed body language that she was lying, she looked up often when answering questions and sucked her lips in her mouth a lot, tell tale signs. Shes guilty of something but to what degree? Shes guilty of not possessing a gut instinct and not having a good enough relationship with her daughter if she didn’t tell her about the abuse. What I want to know is was she told and didn’t believe it and was she protecting this monster? She also didn’t appear distraught enough, not like most mothers are when their child goes missing. I hate accusing the mom, but she is setting off alarm bells in my head. Something is off.
@@missmg oh absolutely, which is why I don’t like judging parents of missing children, grief hits people differently. But in saying that, it was more her body language that concerned me, along with the lack of emotion. Even the “we” didn’t concern me too much, although learning he’s actually her ex makes it seem weird for her to say “we”. Like I said, something’s off, just not sure what yet. It might just be guilt that she processes any gut instincts 🤷♀️ I think the police told her they saw Madeline in the video at that time, to see how they would react…knowing she was passed away before that time, I think that was a deliberate move by police.
I’m now wondering if he was dealing drugs and moms supplier or they both were addicts and shared a dealer so moms reluctant behavior may be out of fear for being caught on those sorts of charges. I believe our precious girl was pregnant by him and that coming out threatened his day to day life as well as the entirety of his moles**** n over years. He is so afraid now even to the extent of his charges being read in court and with that him going back to jail with all of the inmates having heard them
The other friend he interviewed said his Mother was really something, pretty out there…who knows?
