Emma Stone, Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson, Abigail Breslin and Bill Murray star in this comedic adventure that has a heart warming story develop throughout. "The Man Who Would Be King" is a 1975 adventure film directed by John Huston, starring Sean Connery and Michael Caine. The movie is based on the 1888 novella of the same name by Rudyard Kipling. This movie is not well known for reasons that I don't understand. It is a hidden gem of an adventure tale and well worth a review.
Entrapment. The league of extraordinary gentlemen.
The 3rd Indiana Jones (The Last Crusade)
The Rock (not cerebral but fun enough)
He was (arguably) the best James Bond? 😄
The Hunt For Red October and The Rock are at the top of the list for me.
The added line at the end was from Bill in "Caddyshack". A must see.
"That'll Do Pig" is not a Bill Murray movie, it's "Babe" a movie about a pig that learns to heard sheep.
And is a wonderful movie.
@@johnmaynardableyeah, super sweet.
I highly recommend "Little Miss Sunshine" (2006), starring Abigail Breslin (the younger sister). A dark comedy about a dysfunctional family on a road trip, from New Mexico to California, trying to get their daughter there in time for a child beauty pageant.
A dark comedy you say? I'm in!
Agree, it is such a little gem of a movie. Amazing cast, acting, and a unique touching story. And even some great laughs. Great movie.
I wouldn't call it a 'dark comedy' though, that means something else But. It's excellent, funny, moving and DOES cover many serious topics and isn't anywhere known enough / reacted to enough
@@VerowakReacts - You will LOVE Little Miss Sunshine!
@malingor7042 yeah, dark comedy will give the wrong idea.
Vero, you still haven't seen "Ghostbusters"??? What are you waiting for????????? Listen, I've never kidnapped anybody before, but if that's what it takes to get you to watch Ghostbusters.......
👻👻👻👻👻👻👻👻👻👻👻👻👻👻
If you like movies starring Woody Harrelson and Bill Murray, the gold standard is still "Kingpin."
I'm pretty sure that's the movie on which they met and became friends. Murray's Zombieland cameo was originally supposed to be Patrick Swayze, but he tragically passed before filming. Needing a replacement, Harrelson called Murray himself and asked him to take Swayze's place.
Woody Harrelson is good and just about anything he plays. One of those actors everyone loves. True Detective season 1 would be a great series to watch. It’s excellent and keeps you guessing.
That's a series high on my to watch list 🤩
In the grocery store, Tallahassee’s banjo tune and saying ‘you got a purdy mouth’ are homage to the movie Deliverance from ‘72.
🇨🇦🎉
Woody Harrelson with Mathew McConaughey are great in True Detective Season 1.
Thank you, Verowak! 🧟♀ *Ruben* *Fleischer* directed this as well as the sequel, ZOMBIELAND: DOUBLE TAP (2019), which is also good. 🔸 Since you wanted a *Woody* *Harrelson* recommendation... THE PEOPLE VS. LARRY FLYNT (1996) should be on your list.
An actually funny sequel.
@@tempsitch5632 Indeed. 🙂
Number 3 on the cars is for legendary Nascar driver Dale Earnhardt. RIP Dale.
I love that I come to a movie I have seen 5 or so times. And still find gems in the comments that I didn't know. Thanks 👍
I had always believed that "3" was Buck's age. 🙃
Woody Harrelson is perfect in (and for) this film. Like Jason Bateman, Harrelson's an underrated actor, IMO.
The movie was originally pitched as a tv show, which is why the Zombie Kill Of the Week scene exists. Each episode would feature one.
You obviously didn’t watch the entire video. She discusses this at the end.
Twinkies: I worked in this place from '86 - '88 and we had a pair of Twinkies we his in each others offices, and when you found the Twinkies, you his them in someone else's office. They did not go bad in 2 years, so I think eating them past the expiration date is no problem.
*RETURN OF THE LIVING DEAD (1985)* is the best zombie horror-comedy imo
'That'll do pig' is from Babe.
I'd forgotten Bill Murray was in this What a random cameo!
Yes!! Just like Sean Connery in Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves! I love random cameos like that, where a well known actor plays a small part
Bill Murray movies - go for "The man that knew too Little." For Jessie, check out "Now You See Me".
lol, last Bill Murray quote at the end is from Caddyshack
The number three on the vehicles was for dale earnhardt
You had us at "I like zombies".
oh man, saying you don't know much about Bill Murray has opened you up to a LOT of movies, Ghostbusters, Groundhog Day, Caddyshack and Stripes, just for starters
"What about Bob?" would be a good one for her sense of humor.
@@randallshuck2976 i came here to say that lol
Caddyshack will pretty much explain the Jean-Paul Sartre tag at the end of this.
The sequel is just as good. I watched the first one when I was about 13. Thought it was awesome. Lovely to see another upload from you. Looking as beautiful as ever
Is it weird that the rules for surviving zombieland are basically my rules for dealing with people every day?
People are like zombies, so it makes sense 🤣
Bill Murray & Scarlett Johansson - Lost in Translation. An unexpected gem, set in Japan.
If you're looking for more Woody Harrelson movies, gotta add Kingpin to that list.
"Cast iron skillet to the head and a zombie ain’t gettin up from that."
I think i just realized that Rapunzel would survive the Zombie Apocalypse.
For some fantastic, very early Bill Effin' Murray, watch old episodes of Saturday Night Live from 1977 through 1979, when he was a cast member on the show.
Those years were iconic, with some of the greats, Dan Aykroyd, Jane Curtin and the funny AF John Belushi all also being cast members.
I hope you rewatch The Social Network sometime in the near future, it's a fantastic film.
I'll add my name to True Detective Season 1, one of the best TV series I've seen. Incredible acting by McConaughey and Harrelson. Eisenberg is good in The Social Network.
Cheers
"That'll do, pig." is definitely not a Bill Murray movie. It's from a movie called "Babe", 1995 Starring James Cromwell. And that's all I'm going to say about that, since I don't know if you've seen it.
The last scene with Bill Murray was, I believe from Caddy Shack (Which was a Bill Murray movie)
Saw this at a midnight showing at the Atlantic Film Festival in Halifax Nova Scotia in 2010. Loved it then. #32 is my favorite rule. Getting #1 on a t-shirt for my daily walks.
7:10 what no one notices, there were a Twinkies in that truck... Right side of screen, against the truck's closed door. Poor Tallahassee, could have had so many!
Return of The Living Dead (1985)
Best Zombie Movie Ever
For Woody, Natural Born Killers!
Came here to say this. Oddly just the sick fascination of seeing someone so (seemingly) sweet as @VerowakReacts deal with that movie. Watch the director's cut though for full effect.
I never liked Woody in Cheers, it just didn't seem a good fit for him. Then I saw him in Natural Born Killers, and he became one of my favourite actors :)
For Woody Harrelson, "White Men Can't Jump" is a good and funny movie, light hearted. "No Country for Old Men" is a great movie with him in a more minor role.
Adventureland, also with Eisenberg.
Bill Murray au revoir gopher is from his amazing role in the movie CADDYSHACK. A true classic comedy movie.
Every time I see this, and Columbus and Wichita talk about being in 8th grade in 1997, it really makes me feel old, because I’d already graduated high school years before and been married for a few years by ’97.
This is one of my favorite action/comedies. I highly recommend the sequel, which came out 10 years later with the same cast. Even Bill Murray makes a cameo during the ending credits!
I agree with you that this role was definitely made for Jesse Eisenberg. His portrayal of Lex Luther was, to put it mildly, uncomfortable. I think that was in part of whoever cast him in the role. And Woody was awesome as Tallahassee! Emma and Abigail were great, too. All four of them worked well together. You'll definitely want to watch the next one. It's even funnier. 🤣 Great reaction!
Thank you!! I think sometimes casting purposely takes a chance on an actor who doesn't seem to fit the role. Sometimes it works out great, other times... not so much
Dead mans shoes. Get it watched
oh now you gotta see more murray films >< also for harrelson and eisenberg films, now you see me is pretty fun featuring em both
This movie hit at the perfect time. Perfectly crafted to be a success.
I never watched zombie movies but this movie changed my mind. I did not want this movie to end.
Thankfully there's a sequel!
I'm not a fan of zombies at all but absolutely love this movie and Shaun of the Dead (you'd probably enjoy that if you liked this), and the video game Days Gone.
Natural Born Killers(1994) My Woody! Cheers...
I got into this movie long after it aired and honestly I found it funny as hell. As a fan of Walking Dead and other post-apocalyptic zombie movies and shows this was a real hilarious practical how to survive an end of the world zombie scenario.
There are two zombie Star Wars books known as Death Troopers and Red Harvest. If you ever want to check those out, they’re really good!
If you want to see Woody in a non-mentor role I would recommend watching the first season of True Detective. Genius series and wonderful performances by the actors. I would also mention a bit of a trigger warning because there's some pretty heavy stuff in there but it is well worth the effort!
Woody harrilson, I liked him in now you see me
Okay, apparently you need to watch Ghostbusters, and Babe. Both are fun movies, Babe especially. Good reaction. I guess you also need to watch Caddyshack to get the Bill Murry line.
@14:24 Mike White - writer-actor…wrote School Of Rock.
Ahh that's Mike White? I know of him, just had no idea who he was lol Thank you
Thanks Vero! Can't think of a more appropriate movie title to help us down here in the US celebrate our recent presidential debate!!
🤣
you know things are bad when people are making fun of our politicians on random movie reactions
@@MattMajcan Pretty sure things were bad 45 years ago brother, but I get your point.
I hope you'll react to the second one as well, it's just as good. You might like Jesse in Now You See Me, which also has Woody in it lol.
You should check out Range 15 veteran written and produced with mostly all veterans starring in it!
I must be the only guy on the planet who would not enjoy the destruction bit. I'd be tidying up the place. ;)
Woody's best movies are "No Country for Old Men" and "Seven Psychopaths." I'll also mention "EdTV" and "The Edge of Seventeen."
'Can't a guy take a dumper in peace?' also a future Survivor alum.
Yes, a fun movie and enjoyed your reaction. When Woody played the banjo & said you have a pretty mouth to the zombie he was making reference to the movie Deliverance.
There are frequently references to other movies that I miss. This is a great example of that !
You DEFINITELY need to see Caddyshack. Great Bill Murray flick.
Jesse has other good movies too: The Social Network (obviously), Adventureland, Now You See Me 1/2 and American Ultra (probably some others). You should check those out if you haven't seen them.
Both Jesse and Woody in the Now You See Me movies.
The best Woody Harlson movie ... Natural Born Killers. It also has Robert Downey Jr. and Juliette Louis.
It's pretty bloody.
Not sure how it'll do as reaction if there's a lot of blood (due to yet copyright and blocking videos lol)
True, I'm sure good editing could get around it. Not that I know anything about editing..lol.
But even if it's not a reaction, take a night off for yourself and give it a watch.
Amber Heard, the college Zombie chick at the beginning. Hope you still do Hunt for Red October. The last bit with Bill Murray and Woody, Bill was doing Carl the groundskeeper from Caddyshack, why he said gopher
I thought she looked familiar lol
@@VerowakReacts yeah it was her. And Bill Murray at the very end with Woody, that you were like okay.. because I dont think you have seen Caddyshack, was doing his Role as Carl from Caddyshack. It was a nice little nod. Always fun with my favorite Ewok. Sending love and positivity as always ❤
Besides the sequel Zombieland: Double Tap, another zombie comedy I recommend watching is Shaun of the Dead. Other films with Jesse Eisenberg include The Social Network, Now You See Me, Now You See Me 2, 30 Seconds or Less, Adventureland and Justice League. Columbus is in Ohio, Tallahassee is in Florida, Wichita is in Kansas and Little Rock is in Arkansas
Here is Shaun of the Dead 🤩 ruclips.net/video/-0BrAu46Nyo/видео.html The rest I'll have to check out, thank you (except Justice League, since I've seen that one)
@@VerowakReacts was it the theatrical or Zack Snyder version of Batman v Superman and Justice League?
@@15blackshirt I didn't know there was a Zack Snyder version of Batman V Superman. I've seen both Justice Leagues though :D
@@VerowakReacts , just like with his version of Justice League, the Ultimate cut of BvS restores much of the cut footage and dialogue. Both also include more from the comics
OK, it's time to clear your schedule, and check out Ghostbusters, Caddy Shack, Stripes, Lost In Translation, Groundhog Day, Scrooged, etc of Bill Murray's filmography. Lol.
I personally enjoyed the 2nd won but think its better back to back , many options on that
"Fasten your seat belts" is good for non-zombie apocalypes.
Somebody else in all these comments probably already said, but just in case not: "That'll do, pig" is from the 1995 talking pig movie, "Babe". Great movie. The sequel, "Babe: Pig in the City", was cowritten and directed by Mad Max auteur George Miller!
The first one was George Miller as well
@@nicholasbyrne6485 He co-wrote and produced the first one, but it was directed by his writing partner, Chris Noonan.
Yeah, maybe not a masterpiece but just a helluva fun movie with a great cast, a good premise and a surprisingly warm heart. And the sequel's well worth a watch IMO.
(the post credits scene is riffing on 'Caddyshack' BTW, one of Bill Murray's early break-out roles)
We need all kinds of movies. Masterpieces, fun movies, weird movies, etc!
If you enjoyed this, then check out Tucker & Dale vs Evil. That is a fun movie 👍🏻👍🏻
Yay, glad you watched this and hope you also check out the sequel (not as good, but still a fun time and worth the watch). Try to track down the show pilot if you can... it was also fun.
I definitely want to see the sequel for this, I think it'll be great!
Watch Caddyshack. A great Bill Murray summer movie. Well Bill Murray is in it.
1st, yes, watch Zombieland 2 for sure.
2nd, you haven't seen Ghostbusters?! Why hasn't this been selected yet? 🤦♂️ I'm ready to pay for it, tell me how 🤣
This, the sequel, and Night of the Comet are the only three zombie productions that I like anymore.
Everyone starts from scratch, don't give up, I hope that one day you will become a great RUclipsr.
Obviously I'm still jonesing for Red October, but clearly now you also need to see Babe! An adorable family family about a little pig, made by the creator and director of Mad Max. Then Groundhog Day! ♥
Love your reactions. You are so clever, your suspicions always become true!
Btw, best smile ever
😁Thank you!! It makes me happy to hear that you love the reactions 🥰
I can't see a Twinkie now without thinking of Ghostbusters and this movie. You should watch White Men Can't Jump (1992), Woody Harrelson's first major movie role, filmed while he was still doing Cheers.
Babe would be your kind of movie.
You'd love it.❤
The number 3 on the doors are homage to the intimidator Dale Earnhardt famous nascar race driver
I don't think it ruins the movie for you, so, "That'll do pig" is from the movie "The Replacements". A really good movie that I highly recommend.
Jesse Eisenberg was definitely miscast as Lex Luthor, he really doesn’t exude that type of cold, calculating intellect that was needed for that character, but he certainly fits better into characters like he plays in this movie.
I cannot imagine Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luther. Obviously haven't seen it but it sounds terrible. He's this nerd. Perfect casting here 😊
Twinkies are pretty awesome.
I'll have to try them some day lol
The last seen with Bill Murray is a plot spoiler lol
Considering it made no sense to me, I promptly purged it from memory 😂
oh i love these two movies. funny stuff
Jesse Eisenberg, "American Ultra" is a really good action film, give him a try in this one.
Super fun reaction Lady Vero. I think you would last a long time in Zombieland, your cool and tough.
Thank you so much!! 🤩 Hopefully the zombie apocalypse doesn't happen, but I should start training just in case
The Cornetto Trilogy
That is such an awesome trilogy!! 🤩
Great reaction like always, Love this movie. And a fun-fact, this script was originally written as a TV pilot for a series but the network didnt bought it, so it was turned into a movie script. Had it been a series we would've found out more of Columbus' rules as it went along and had a different Zombie Kill of the Week for each new episode. It also explains why Little Rock and Wichita, who had been shown to be very smart throughout the movie would all of sudden turn stupid and not realize that turning on the amusement park would attract every zombie in the area. They didn't have a "movie ending" in the original TV script. So this was put together just to rush the movie out.
Thank you!! I think it would have been great as a tv series. Thanks for the info about the rushed ending, it makes a lot more sense now lol
The Social Network is great
Au revoir gopher = Caddy Shack!
Zombieland: Double Tap is actually one of the RARE cases when the sequel's better than the original.
Colour me intrigued! I'll have to give it a watch then
Based on my current city, my name would be Roanoke but based on the city I was born I would be called Salem.
A buddy just started re playing wow…as my gnome mage is about to turn 24, im thinking about jumping back in as well 🤣
It's so much more fun with friends!
Actually playing last war zombie game on my phone.
Time to watch Ghostbusters
I HIGHLY recommend Bound ( hardly anyone reacts to it). It was the Warshawskis first film, which led to them making The Matrix, it was basically 'proof' they could make films. Long before they came out as trans too. It's VERY subversive and witty and the cinematography/ colours schemes are amazing, especially on the relatively low budget they had ( 6 million USD , as opposed to the average 50 plus million then)
FYI Neighbor 406 is played by Amber Heard. Not until the Johnny Depp trial did we realize here she was playing herself.
"you got a purtty mouth"
An obvious reference to _Deliverance,_ but not to these reactors! I'm waiting for that classic film to make it into the reactor carousel. Surprised it is taking so long.
