Excited about better trackpad support. It works decent until I close the lid and reopen then it goes back to mouse mode in old version

Hello, for some of my past 3d prints, I've been able to access some print settings (to change the layer height, bed temperature, extruder temperature, etc) under additive manufacturing, but recently I can't find that tab. Do you know where I can look? Thanks.

I don’t, sorry. I actually don’t use Fusion for 3D printing, primarily Prusa Slicer.

Hello, I'm looking to design some parts to have CNC'd, Fusion 360 is a paid program, do you have any recommendations for a free program that works well? Knowing I'd still have to pay to get that model converted by someone into Fusion before use by you.

Fusion 360 has always had a free version. You'll want the Personal/Hobbyist version. Check it out here: portlandcnc.com/f360

I use to be excited each time a fusion update landed, but the past two seem to be all focused on extension. Losing advance arrange is major disappoint, controlling rotation should not cost $3200 a year. There should be an arrange option to adjust rotation without the entire nesting package, I guess it's back to Mapboards

Extensions has been the future of Fusion 360 for years. While I wish more (grain manipulation) was under the commercial license, there are definitely ways to get what you want done. Nesting Extension should be $1600 a year if paid annually. At most, it would be $2,400 a year if you paid monthly.
Personally, I think that the Nesting extension is overpriced.

@@pdxcnc My mistake I had two licenses in my cart, but yeah way too much for what I need it for.

Totally agree that I am tired of having long videos with no relevance unless you pay for a ton of extensions.
The design space still is clumsy and especially the join commands - while great most of the time are useless for some alignments. Tried to align two dovetails today - ended up exporting to Alibre, and reimporting to Fusion as I couldn't get Fusion to align 0 degree and 45 degree planes

basically this update fucked anyone with a pocket nc or 4th or 5th axis on their hobby machine.

Ohhh. Good point, didn't think of that.

Is the Nest feature available for the free version??

Nesting is only paid licenses. Check out MapBoards though

@@pdxcnc Came here to complain about getting locked out of my arranged models from earlier this week. Hope Mapboards is the ticket to avoiding the ever looming death by Extension!

You should still have access to normal Arrange with commercial license.

@@pdxcnc not all of the multi envelope arranges. Can’t even edit them. Would have loved some sort of warning!
