I have a total blackout of the RPM dial in my 2005 S40 and was wondering what type of LEDs went in there, and how they're fixed in place. I'll revisit this vid to tackle the issue when the weather warms up, but atm sub zero temps and for sure brittle plastics in a 20 y.o. car .. not the right time, but too bad it didn't show up earlier in my feed as RUclips knows I have a Volvo S40 ☹️
The speedometer in my Volvo does not light up, but the rev counter does. The fact that one half of the dash lights up and the other doesn't makes me suspicious that there's another fault. Does that seem likely?
That looks super easy. I feel confident I can carry out that repair on my own V50.

What voltage leds run on?
It should be 12 volts in this car.
what size are the PLCC-2 LEDS
Size 3528 is what I put in
