Awesome video, thank you very much. The only thing I need are the “video sockets with nuts”, as the links are not available anymore I don’t know which ones I should buy. Could someone help me pls? I got some but they don’t have two points they just have one that looks like a small shovel kinda thing. Is it also possible to do it with those ones?? Excuse me i am a noob
Hey, it seems that Karl has deleted all of his schematics off of his website. Do you have any downloaded? Or do you know where I can find them? Thank you :)
Hey Eva I just built this myself and I've been running into some signal drop issues. I was wondering if you used a time based corrector to stabilize the output signal. I'm also running into issues where one channel I am mixing does not want to appear unless I plug in the audio associated with that source. Did you run into that issue? If so, what did you do to mitigate it? Maybe you can do a video on setups and video capture.
Thank you very much!! This was a great video, And thank you for the Alien instrument book in the desccription as well. I already have ideas to bend haha.\m/
hey this video is awesome. but next time you rec your voiceover can you turn the crt off. the whine of it in the audio makes listening to your instructions a lil panful lol
I think i actually have parts lying around to make this, going to give this a go. Random question, do you think i can rip some composite ports off an old mixer i found and those will work fine? or should i purchase some different ones?
super late response and you may have figured this out for yourself already, but as long as they're 1k pots it should work the same. I'm not a video circuit bender, but I would assume that a different value pot would probably work as well but would probably affect the amount of "dirt" in the video output.
What happens if I coneect two inputs with different voltages and an output with another different voltage. Lets say, a camera with a battery 3.4V DC on an input, a dvd player at 110V A.C on another input and having an output that goes to a display at +12V DC. Won't their grounds get messed up and damage each other?
No their grounds should be at the same potential, regardless of power source for the device. If there is a slight difference they will balance themselves once you connect them anyway.
man I'll mnever forget this one night I was waiting to use the payphone, this guy using the phone turns around, tips his hat to me and i shit you not it was Emilio Estevez. I couldn't contain myself I was like EMILIOOOOOO
This is super awesome and I really want to try it! But could someone please explain the difference between using a 1K Potentiometer vs say a 10K? Does it have an affect on the distorted output? Also say I wanted to have multiple video sources, can I add more than two video inputs? If so how would I connect it all?
a 10k potentiometer has ten times the resistance of a 1K potentiometer. ... The higher resistance of the 10K pot means its voltage will be influenced more by the circuit to which it is connected so you get more distortion.
I wish i could find a woman who has a workstation setup and likes to tinker with shit.. would be friggn awesome to come home from work and she be into something interesting. Would motivate some crazy ideas and learn about stuff together or whatever.. a chick who has a bunch of random junk around like i do.. lol. one can dream i guess..
This is definitely the best video on how to make a dirty mixer
No doubt
whoa that is way cool... incredible how such a simple circuit creates this beautiful analog effect
Hey this is one of the clearest and cleanest way I've seen something taught on youtube. You're a great teacher and great voice, good job
i love the background music omg
Thank you for this!! this is literally the best tutorial on this.
Love your music selection or choice
Great presentation!
This video was really rad...so simple to build a video mixer!
I can't wait to try this. Thanks for putting this resource together.
Hello!!! thanks a lot
Great job super nice , and great easy way to follow this , I love it.
So simple and yet so genius, I love your brain dudette
sup from montreal! this was super helpful. I'll be making one just like the pedal version you made
This is art.
omg thank for this! Looks amazing 💜 :)
woahhhh where did u get those smiley stickers at????? i remember getting those in elementary... what a throwback
Nice video
U should build a
Atri punk council
Just finished mine and works 100% perfect. Im going to build it inside a broken xbox controller now :D
Where can I find more videos making cool projects like this?
Amazing, what does the switches do?
Great video it walks you through nice and slowly 👍🏼
thanks eva
Thank you so much for making this video! Super helpful, and you explained it so well :)
Awesome project!
great vid!
Do I need a CRT tv for this or will a AV to HDMI converter box work for an LCD tv.
nice, i was looking for this. amazing. do you have any info or data to mix the RGB controls for the video output?

“Aiqeer 30 Stück RCA Weiblich Buchse Verbinder, RCA Audio/Video Verbinder, RCA Plattenmontage Einbaukupplung Terminal” those are the ones I got
Incredible!!

Love this. Much love! :)
Looking for america is a great composition as well.
Cheers!
That is super cool!
Which outputs are connected to tv ?

what would you add/ do to create different glitch effects?
needed this
Thank you very much!! This was a great video, And thank you for the Alien instrument book in the desccription as well. I already have ideas to bend haha.\m/
Good Tutorial, but soldering works best when you heat the part, then apply the solder between the part and iron.
What else could I use other than a crossfader pot thing?
Hi! My CRT TV goes to black screen in middle position of potentiometer. My CRT TV too new for glitch art?
it's normal, dont worry
I just made it !! thank you so much (:

Is it possible to add an extra video out? 😬
Do you do circuit bending?
I'm doing something very wrong. I've rewired 3 times to try to get it to work. I wonder what I'm doing wrong. Getting no video feed out at all.
Youre doing something wrong
@@marlowp5234 I think I had faulty parts. I've completed this again and it worked.
Is the grounding necessary? My rca chassis dont have ground lugs
Rad!
Is the middle nob supposed to be a resistor or reostat?
About how much do you think this costs to build?
If you get the fancy metal enclosure it could be around 12-15$ if you put it in a cheap box could be around 2-5 $

Has anyone used a 20k potentiometer on this project?
hey, what do these toggles actually do?
it s like a ON OFF switch for each side
@@EVAproductions thanks a lot. So one of the wires is actually the ground?
@@mkolnay oh yeah the black one, sorry i didn t see your comment before!

Wanna see it with a crt thats been oscilloscoped.. lol
Flux is your friend.
I'm judging you for the fact that weed was THC-free. Mother Marijuana is truly not happy with your transgressions.

I've tried this twice and neither of them worked :(
