@@ITSQUEENNAIJAFAULT if you're worried about the caffeine, just use decaf coffee :) i'm not 100% sure how much caffeine you'd get from a slice of cake using this technique - i think it'd be pretty minimal - but that's what i'd suggest if you really want to avoid any caffeine intake

I also don't like cakes that are too sweet...but sometimes you might not taste the sweetness because of the cocoa powder. I haven't tried this recipe yet..but like I said before, u can airways cut the sugar in half.

Dry ingredients should have been sifted (either previous to measuring or sifted together) and wet (minus warm water) ingredients should’ve been combined together. Add the warm water first to bloom the cocoa powder, then add the pre mixed wet ingredients. The hot coffee instead of water is a good hack as well.

For the people saying this is exactly like Home chef's chocolate cake. See,. There are five to six ways you can bake a cake. Any cake. This particular method is called the all in one method and it's a tried and tested method written in books. Not invented by a youtuber. Vanilla essence, coffee, stout beer, mayonnaise all these are optional. The main base recipe remains the same. Don't hate on this person if the recipe seems familiar from another channel. Baking is science and is supposed to come with a particular set of instructions. It's natural the recipe will be similar or same.

That’s the normal amount for any cake anywhere but it really depends on what your making

That's even more than the flour. But, could be because cocoa powders are a little bitter. It's still a lot of sugar imo but I'm not a pro baker so I could be wrong

@@azaezae2791Erm....I don't think so. I bake all the time. Pound cakes have equal measurements/weight of flour, sugar and butter, yes. But hey, it's your party🎉

You can also put in a dash of smoky paprika in a chocolate cake. It’s amazing.

Thank you for this recipe-this is one of the yummiest and most moist cakes I’ve ever made ( also easiest). Small correction on sugar, it’s actually 4 cups not 3 cups. I added coffee to the warm water and it took around 40mins to bake in a convection oven.
