Thought I'd try something different with the gmod visuals. Map is in the description. Let me know if it's Weird/jarring or if it fits. I know a lot of people wanted Noelle next; but I had to do them in order. Good news is Noelle script is already done and recording begins today so it shouldn't take as long as the Ralsei video took.

I find it incredibly interesting how Ralsei will bend over backwards to accommodate what the player wants to do, even if it's the exact opposite of what he suggested, yet when Susie dares to do the same thing, that's when he draws the line. I was thinking about how that scene where Ralsei calls out Susie after K. Round would play out if up until that point you had been playing an entirely violent run. It really shows how hypocritical Ralsei is.

    • @lilacpenguin5329

Susie calls Ralsei out on that too in chapter 2, with "Why does Kris get to choose all the time?" or something to that effect, and then she just grabs up Ralsei and the two leave to do whatever; during that time it is assumed Ralsei was able to teach Susie healing magic

I'm SO glad you brought up Ralsei expecting Susie (and others) to do what he says just because he said it with that chapter 1 scene. Ralsei's bossiness is something I think people WILDLY overlook, he's sometimes so one-track-minded that he just doesn't consider any options or possibilities besides the one he assumes himself. This can def be tied to the absolute chokehold that the prophecy has on him and isn't necessarily a tell of his personality or character, like you said he just has an idea of how things should be and expects everybody to act accordingly. This is shown when he tells Berdly and the others not to create another fountain too, I've always found the wording of "What in the world are you all doing?" SO interesting. The way he acts like they're all being ridiculous. He's so.......... Ralsei Deltarune..........

I think ralsei is probably the red horns, if this is a weathered accessory from long ago red would change to a lighter pink hue, to me it’s obvious ralsei as an object understands Kris’ desire to be similar to all the monsters around them and similar to their brother whom everyone likes and talks about the horns as an object represent their desire, this is why ralsei is so comforting towards kris since they have a lot of knowledge on what kris wanted as a young child, In fact this plays further into Ralseis child like naivety, toriel acts like kris hasn’t worn those horns for a while, maybe kris stopped wearing the horns as they grew up and realised that their desire to be like the monsters around them physically is impossible, since the horns weren’t used passed kris’ early childhood Ralseis only has knowledge on what Kris wanted as a child, I do think Kris wants to be like their peers and family currently but not to the point that they could have monster features.
I think ralsei is obviously a character born from Kris’ liking of their brother but I also think people ignore the parallels Ralsei has to Kris’ mother Toriel, both how they act as a Tutorial much like undertale but also how Ralsei acts as a comfort towards Kris much like a mother with their child, Ralsei while obviously a boy has a lot of feminine traits to them like the pink colour that could be linked to femininity and the aforementioned motherly personality, I also think there’s a bit of Asgore in there what with all the hugging that comes up multiple times with Ralsei and how the first thing Asgore does when meeting Kris is hug them, sure Ralseis name is an anagram for Asriel but Asriel as a name is a mixture or Toriel and Asgore, Ralsei being all jumbled shows how he is a mixture of Kris’ whole family, Ralsei has no clue who he is because he’s a mixture of multiple people, not only that but a warped perception of people from a young child. This is why I think Ralsei’s story will be him gaining individuality I think we see this in chapter 2 as Susie and him hang out without Kris, which may have birthed the idea to be an individual not needing to be tethered to Kris to have purpose.

Are the horns ever brought up in mandatory dialogue? I think so far everything that mentions them is missable, and I think it's unlikely that Ralsei will end up being an object that the player may never have heard of before, especially one as specific as that. Then again, with Toriel and potentially the Dreemurr household in chapter 3 (assuming it isn't just a TV world) there's still time for them to make their main-story debut, but if they don't get mentioned there then I think it'll end up being pretty unlikely. I do like the narrative significance of the horns and I think they would work well, but so far they're missing some basic building blocks of a good reveal.

Something that supports Ralsei just repeating what he’s told by his mentor without having a full understanding of it is that when talking about TP ( 17:57 ), he references “the big orange bar on the left” but does so at a point where you might have no TP, which would make the bar entirely red. Since he’s so thorough with his lesson, missing the color of the TP bar would support the idea that he can’t actually see it, but has simply heard a description of it by someone else.

59:50 Something else extremely interesting about this scene to me is that it ends with him thinking to himself "* (Oh well, as long as Susie's happy... right?)"; so far in this route he recognizes that something has gone very wrong, but Susie's happy, so surely everything's still alright. I'm curious how he will react when he can't rationalize with this anymore.

  • @dailyralsei
    @dailyralsei 5 месяцев назад +48

    notes as i'm watching:
    1. the mentor theory is interesting, i can get behind it
    2. imo the creation of dark fountains doesn't necessarily mean the very beginning of the existence of the characters in it, it might just be that these dark worlds already existed for a period before the existence of the opening from the light world to the dark world. if ralsei had a mentor, it would be very hard to believe he was created, taught, and able to rehearse (for an assumedly long period of time) all of the things he currently knows in a matter of days or even hours; not saying i don't think he's young, he very much is, but maybe not days? i mean, in chapter 2, the plug characters mention how queen had been in control for the longest time and then went haywire, but the entrance to the dark world only appeared like a day after the supply closet entrance did. if it was there the entire time, someone would have discovered it by then. or Maybe the passage of time in the dark world is warped at creation and their stories and lives are already fleshed out mere seconds after the opening of the fountain and then time progresses "normally" (our normal) from there as the lightners enter, or something else entirely. maybe this detail is just a nitpick of mine
    3. what about the jigsaw characters and the tutorial dojo? isn't this also "forbidden knowledge" that they shouldn't know about? and what about the virovirokun that had to help kris explain to noelle how battles worked? i don't think battle mechanics knowledge is specific to ralsei, it may just be common knowledge to all darkners
    4. not sure about ralsei knowing he looks like asriel, i think it's just general self consciousness at not being experienced wtih social interactions
    5. the possessive tendencies may just be out of naivety and willingness to fulfill the prophecy. if he was created solely for the purposes of the prophecy, told that the fate of the world relies on the prophecy's fulfillment and the success of the heroes, naturally he would want the prophesized heroes to follow the orders he's giving that he was also given. he described the direness of the situation in the legend, how the world would go into ruin.
    6. i didn't even notice the turn to kris detail. that's interesting
    7. that thing about 5 is so weird and interesting... that's cool, kudos
    8. 49:47 awwwwww
    9. kinda nitpick - i don't think ralsei was accusing susie (or anyone for that matter), he was just asking what happened in there because the cutscene is supposed to play but it doesn't but he wants the player to know so he just asks susie to explain so that the player is "caught up", which is the purpose of these "susie's pov" cutscenes.
    these are just my opinions
overall, decent video. i was scared of watching this at first because people i see talk about ralsei as a character commonly mischaracterize him, but this video did not disappoint.

Re: Ralsei getting to the library, I think people are really discounting the possibility of the town having underground tunnels
It is not that uncommon for towns in the US with older buildings to have disused bomb shelters under the more important places in the city, and even for them to be connected by tunnels. There’s some under my old high school actually that connect to the nearby middle school, they’re pretty much only used by stagecraft for storage now.
Idk, the idea of there being a tunnel system that connects the school, the library, the church, city hall, the hospital, and the bunker is just VERY exciting to me and not actually *that* far out there all things considered

    • @Stego.raptor
      @Stego.raptor 5 месяцев назад

Yes, it's true that there could be underground tunnels in Hometown, but would that help Ralsei? If I am remembering correctly, each Dark World is its own separate "island" in a way, and the dark fountains in Castle town and the Card Castle just happen to be close enough to be connected via the door Ralsei closes. I just question if the dark fountain in the library is close enough to the dark fountain in Castle town for it to be possible for them to connect before it's even a question of the infrastructure of the Light World allowing Ralsei passage.

Like, if it’s connected to the bunker and the bunker has some kind of weird darkness machine or whatever, then I could see that making the tunnels some kind of weird between limbo dark world or something
But now I’m getting into wild speculation. Idk the idea just compels me

I like your Snowgrave route theory, its actually a theory i've had for a while, it reminds me of the dialogue from Sans' No Mercy dialogue:
"I thought the anomaly just needed some good food, some bad laughs"
"I thought that if i made it happy then it wouldn't hurt us"
"but now i see that you'll never be happy"
its eerily similar to Ralsei, in that he believes he can convince all of his enemies to stop fighting by treating them kindly. My personal theory for a while was that Ralsei knows about the player and is trying his best to keep us happy by treating us as politely as he can, in the hope that we will want to play pacifist as well.
that's why he doesn't object to fighting Darkners, he doesn't want to annoy us, since he thinks that will get us to not like him.

I've got a third interpretation of Ralsei making rooms for Susie and Kris - Ralsei either knows or suspects that some bad stuff is going to go down in the Light World in the near future, and that Kris and/or Susie are going to need a place to stay. While Susie has obvious reasons, there's also some hints that Kris may have also in the future, like Spamton mentioning them "crying in a broken home". Whether this is because of Dark World/Roaring reasons or something more mundane, who knows, but it'd *probably* happen in both the Normal and Wierd Routes, as Ralsei has rooms ready either way.

    • @shcdemolisher

Yeah the Broken home likely means Toriel and Asgore's divorce, or.... it could be Noelle's home, dealing with the aftermath of what is likely Rudy's death that utterly breaks Noelle. I can see a darkworld of her home being possible, and during it, the emotions are brought up full front and center in all their uglyness, or no dark world but still emotions are there while in the now second broken home in town.

I think the reason ralsei doesn't critisize kris so heavily is becaeuse of the player having direct control over them wich could be why he is more pacife towards kris becaeuse he kinda understands that not everything they do is under their control while susie is her own person wich could mean that every decision is full 100% hers while kris not also the reason kris doesn't have much of a choice could be why when kris can still say something in a tone wich ralsei and susie can understand their true feelings if there is no such thing they agree with the player this shown with after the spamton neo fight and when sussie ask who would kris like to go with to the fair.
I think the reason ralsei is a bit dismisive after the spamton neo fight is becaeuse he also pocceses a shadow fragment wich could ruin the friendship he made in his eyes also the explenation for the turning upwards could also be him trying to talk to the player in a more seamless and less suspicious way becaeuse if he where looking down sussie would question why he turned down in the middle of a conversasiion and the words still being adioble to her the way he lookes at kris but actually looking at the soul that is in their body.
I wonder what will hapen when he finds out that kris made the chapter 3 dark world.

18:00 it’s important to note that in other sections of deltarune, full textboxes that are between brackets are inner monologue (or whispering/aside conversation), that Kris can’t hear.
an example of this is in the snowgrave route, where the player can reply “it’s weird” or “it’s normal” (or something like that) to noelles inner monologue about stepping off a switch and killing kris. she is then surprised that “kris” could hear them, despite noelle saying it in her head.
so perhaps it wasn’t a slip-up at all. perhaps the “mentor” told ralsei that certain sections of his inner monologue/whispers kris can’t hear can still be heard by the player (or something idk)
edit: changed some things, thanks oops-you-messed-up

@@oops14314 that’s true. I forgot that brackets can also indicate whispering or conversation that kris would not be able to hear. in this case that would be ralsei and susie whispering/talking quietly to each other so that kris could not hear? either way, it seems the player is able to hear things that kris cannot.

27:30 This is the sort of thing that's very hard to read in text I think. Your interpretation of Ralsei talking down to Susie is an entirely valid one, but I more got the impression that he was trying to remind Susie of his request in a way that politely gave Susie an opening to save face. Instead of saying "Hey, you didn't listen to me before, we should avoid fighting" which would be confrontational, he offers a non-confrontational out while still repeating the request, while either being confused or upset about her not following it before (again, hard to say for certain in text, even his sprite could be interpreted either way there I think).

i loveee character analyses i eat this sht right up!! totally agree on ralsei having had a mentor, and his eventual arc establishing his own identity. and a few other facts brought up here (the sprite turn when talking about the new fountain, the 5 connection) i had no idea about!! love the analysis of his relationship with kris too.
saw this somewhere else but the fact ralsei says the prophecy was "foretold by time and space," and gaster was "shattered across time and space," is very, very--u get it.
i think basic game mechanics are common knowledge in the dark worlds (the battle tutorial with noelle, the puzzle masters, lancer's sign referencing the menu). i think it's probably diegetic in ways similar to undertale's mechanics BUT i do think the further knowledge that their world is fake/a game isn't common knowledge, necessarily. given that specific worldview is brought up as unusual by seam, and seemed to play a role in spamton/jevil's spirals. so i think ralsei still has some red flag behaviour in how he speaks to the _player_ specifically. love to rotate him in my mind. how is the guy coping!!
also the darkners' histories don't necessarily line up with their fountains/world's age in the light world. there's probably some spacetime shenanigans happening, or last thursdayism, or some inanimate existence that's made available with the fountains' creation, or something. having said that, ralsei _is_ uniquely naive and childlike. maybe from being alone (sans mentor) his whole life? or because he's maybe based off kris' childhood horns?

Or it could be built over multiple Titans, dead or alive.

Aight so I've just realized that boss monsters make their children's names a combination of their own. I think ralsei is kris' old desire to be like asriel and be a part of the dreemurs. He's as much a mirror to asriel as he is to kris. if you're right about him being a drawing he'd be hiding his face because kris would recognize in a second the exact drawing he descended from. My guess is that we're going to learn that there was a time where kris wanted to be what ralsei is right now and that this old heartache in physical form is what's causing them so much confusion about him.

Ralsei isn't really what we see him as. He's just dedicated himself to playing this specific role for us in this "prophecy".
And he doesn't seem like "final boss" material to me. He's too superficial. Too naive and clearly being manipulated by the "prophecy". But I think a confrontation with him is inevitable if we want to disrupt the "status quo" he represents and get to the manipulator behind him.

I have a theory/observation that I’ve made about the prophecy/Ralsei, and I’ve been waiting for your take on Ralsei to share it!
(I’m going to apologize beforehand for how *long* this is and if this sounds like I’m rambling or maybe some things just don’t make sense 😅 sorry!)
My observation about the prophecy is this:
The prophecy talks about how “if this harmony (between light and dark) were to shatter, a terrible calamity (the roaring) would occur” And then it basically references the roaring and how if it happens, the world will be destroyed.
*But!* right after this, it says “*Only then*, shining with hope, three heroes appear at worlds edge” “*Only they* can seal the fountains, and banish the angels heaven”
“*Only then* will balance be restored, and the world saved from destruction.”
Which, in my own interpretation of the prophecy and what it shows, it sounds like *to me* that either we’re supposed to show up *only when* the roaring happens, or, it sounds like the roaring *can be stopped* even when it happens, and it’s not just the end of the world like Ralsei is making it out to be.
(Although, aside from this, I will say that I know Toby said (somewhere) that the prophecy is supposed to resemble something that has been translated over and over again from several different languages and back again, *but* I still think it’s odd how despite that, it still says several “Only” statements *three times in a row* regarding *when, who, and how* things happen, which still feels very intentional in my opinion.)
So, my question is, *Why does Ralsei want us to prevent the roaring so bad?*
I mean, objectively I get *why* he wouldn’t want the world to end, but If the prophecy/legend (imo) implies a hopeful outcome to an otherwise hopeless scenario by portraying us as the heroes swooping in to save the day, then why portray it as something that *can’t* be fixed like he does in chapter 2?
(Unless it’s him in a meta sense trying not to have us finish the game too early?)
Seam even says: “*One day soon… You too, will begin to realize the futility of your actions. At that time, feel free to come back here. I’ll make you tea… and we can toast… to the end of the world!*”
*“The futility of your actions”* bit could be seam trying to tell us that preventing the roaring is a lost cause, because it’s just going to happen anyway, but I also feel like it’s something that *needs* to happen if we’re really going to be heroes and save the world.
Not to mention Ralsei’s ‘Toxic Positivity’ being at play with him avoiding certain situations and whatnot works with this as well, so it would make sense for him to avoid something “bad” like the roaring even if things would still be ok in the end, I mean, it’s about *Hope*, right? Does he just… not have that, or…?
I can see it being that maybe at one point, when the storage closet fountain was first created, maybe (Gaster and/or the knight) talked to Ralsei and told him that maybe he could find a loophole to help his friends, and so when Ralsei talks to Kris, he tells them that they need to keep making dark fountains so that they as a group can continue to close them while reaping the benefits, that way, in this ideal situation, Ralsei can gain subjects, grow his kingdom and keep his friends safe (have his cake and eat it too), he knows that Susie and Kris will be happy while thinking that they’re actually fulfilling the prophecy, while not knowing that they’re just delaying the inevitable, and he knows *the player especially* will be *happy* with this continuous cycle of fun (like the replay-ability in a video game).
One small note, before Kris and Susie leave to go do their project, once Susie leaves, Ralsei says to Kris *as soon as she’s gone*: “*Good luck today, Kris. See you soon!*”
Now, *why* would he say ‘see you soon’ if he *didn’t already know* that there was a dark fountain in the library?
Now, I’m not saying any of this ‘cracks the code’ or answers anything or whatever, but i think it makes sense! (At least I hope so, anyway 😅)

One last thing! I just *have* to talk about Ralsei’s sweepstakes page!
On his sweepstakes page, it says the following:
[Dress him up!!] IN THIS ONE-OF-A-KIND [nurse costume $9.99] AND HE WILL MAKE YOUR [boo-boos] GO [bye-bye]!
BUY NOW AND IN OUR [Specil Deal], HE WILL ALSO MAKE YOUR [baa baas] GO [bo bo]!!!!!
Now, at first I was like “what does that even mean??” But then it clicked! *Its nursery rhymes*.
(*Baa baa*) Baa Baa black sheep.
(Sheep) a person who is too easily influenced or led.
(Black sheep) a member of a family or group who is regarded as a disgrace to it.
Baa baa black sheep, have you any wool? Yes sir, yes sir, three bags full.
      (*Bo Bo*) Little Bo-Peep who *lost* her sheep, And can't tell where to find them;
Leave them alone, and they'll come home, Bringing their tails behind them.(apparently in a literal sense in the story)
In another version of the story, it is actually the bellwether (the leader sheep/ram of a flock with a bell around its neck) that leads the flock away and gets them lost.
What’s with all this *sheep* imagery?? And why are *we* the sheep?
This also ties in with Ralsei’s *pacify* spell, him singing a *lullaby*, putting opponents to *sleep*. (You know what some people do to fall asleep? *They count sheep!*)
Idk, I just think it’s all super weird, considering the game’s theme about *dreams* and *sleeping* and whatnot.

That stuff about the nursery rhymes is pretty interesting, maybe it's a literal meaning. Ba ba black sheep (Ralsei use to be covered in black shadows)
To Bo Bo Little bo peeps sheep were white. Ralsei takes off his hat to reveal his white fur.
Regarding the prophecy, I never thought about the wording that way. It that's the case, then that would mean that the heroes are suppose to be there when the roaring happens. Which like you mentioned with Seam may be inevitable. Ralsei Having this information if be another supporting point for Ralsei having a script, or having knowledge of set events If he doesn't want the roaring to happen yet.
That thing you mentioned where Toby said the prophecy was something translated several times has me thinking this Prophecy is tied to the Religion where they worship the angel in Castletown. I can't say I remember Toby saying that; but if it's true then I would say it sounds like a parallels to most religions. Fun fact the story of how Eve was created changes based on what translation of the Bible you are reading. In early stages of this video I had an entire section planed that would talk about religious parallels and I had a theory that the angel never really existed. I eventually decided to Omit it because it wasn't directly about Ralsei, it was a little off topic and the negatives outweighed the positives.
All interesting points thanks for watching. :)

      @Ongle_Spongle 5 месяцев назад

      @@XDNighthawkXD Aww you’re welcome! ☺️
I’ve also been thinking about the prophecy from a religious perspective, like how the Bible has been translated over and over again for centuries, but really the only thing that changes its meaning is the people who want a certain message to be told or what have you. Like, either Ralsei is *purposefully* portraying the roaring as something bad that needs to be avoided in order to have us do what he wants instead of something inevitable but with a hopeful outcome, with good intentions or not, *or* he genuinely thinks that the roaring is something bad that has to be avoided at all costs and needs us to keep it at bay, otherwise everything will be destroyed, It all has to do with interpretation.
Maybe it could be related to how despite the lightners religion about the angel not having a concept of sin or confession, asriel still somehow believed in it enough to beg father Alvin for forgiveness over a video game, and how if Ralsei is in any way connected to Asriel, he does show signs of having a concept of sin and repentance especially. Which altogether is *really weird.*

I think the context of why they wore the horns is important: to fit in with the Dreemurrs. Kris asked as a kid when their horns would grow in, and wore the devil horns in place of goat horns. So it’s not surprising to me that in the Dark World, they would take the form of the only goat child Kris would have reference for.

Sorry, sometimes when I'm writing I try to put in words or phrases that are not normally used. An "audible" is a term used in American Football which describes a change in the play right before the quarterback says go. It's like a change in plans right before the plan goes into motion. I used the term here because it's a change in the course of events right before the queen boss fight which changes the outcome of the queen boss fight.

this might not be the best place to note this, but I feel like there is inexplicably SO MANY things destiny 2 shares in common with deltarune. First off, the entire concept of light and dark, which actually there are very few things in common there, but also the concept of sword logic from d2 in deltarune (both jevil and spamton become weapons for you to use at the end of their fights) and also I saw in a video mentioning deepness with the darkness in deltarune, which "The deep" Is a VERY important part of the darkness in d2.

I always interpreted kris’ dance as the kazotsky kick from TF2. This is an interesting take.

This video is great so far, butone thing is that when you say darkness with forbidden knowledge are incredibly strong, citing jevil and spamton, i jabe to say that normal spamton, before becoming neo, is actually quite weak. Hr has 600 hp and 8 attack power, which is only twice as much hp as a single switching and less attack power than one. Lore wise, he can't just get the body himself b3cause the swatchlings would easily defeat him together. Jevil is definitely strong, and the point about ralseis hidden power is good too, but i don't think simply having this knowledge makes you strong

The reason that kris wore the headband is due to the fact that Kris wanted to fit in with the Dreemurrs. Its also stated that Lightners are what gives darkners purpose. So given that the red horn headbands lightner-given purpose is to fit in with the dreemurrs, which ralsei resembles, it makes complete sense that ralsei would be the headband. Thw whole physical aspect of " the headband is red so ralsei cant be the headband because he has no red" is just poorly thought out surface level analysis.

What if Ralsei is Kris' monster-sona, He's what Kris wanted/expected to look like so they could fit into the monster society and their family. I wonder if Kris hates having a human soul..

There is a lot to say about Ralsei.
First, the most obvious point, his comparaison to Asriel. I mean, just like Deltarune is an anagram of Undertale (or, considering the timeline in Toby's mind, the other way around), Ralsei is an anagram of Asriel, just how Kriss is a close call to Frisk. They both have an important role in their own prophecy, they look similar...
Second, it's the fact that Ralsei is living in a cold and lonely world. For all we've seen so far, until Lancer comes up, there was no one here. It would make sense since he's located in a closet, compared to the abandoned classroom of Gerson or the library.
But, funny enough, while other darkners, or Lancer party at least, turned to stone when living their home, it doesn't happen to Ralsei. Twice. On the other hand, his world can give darkners a home, even transforming under their influence.
On another note, we have no idea how Ralsei was able to hop from his world to the library. As far as we know, he didn't hide in our pockets when we left, but here he is still. And, funny enough, he is including in the lighteners role by Jevil, lines about him being the only one free in Lancer's role.
There is no way to know how long his world was made, or by who. Maybe his dark world is different from the others, like, the original one, with a purest form of darkness at its core. And we don't know how he's aware of the Roaring and such. Queen surely didn't, and neither did King. So, it might be what his creator told him, or what was pushed into this creation. Or, maybe Ralsei himself made contact with the Knigh but doesn't realize it. It would be very interesting if we had to fight him as some point, since he has the same type of knowledge as Jevil and Spamton. And if he's really the only one in his world, it would be logical for the knight to pass that knowledge onto him, no matter if he's his creator or not.
And, the other interesting supposition if that Ralsei is wrong about the Roaring and everything else. Maybe he does have a secret agenda and is misleading us into sealing the other foutains. Or maybe he doesn't get the trick. After all, why would his world be more important than the others, if he wasn't the original or made by someone else ? After all, it seems Kriss is responsible for the dark world in chapter 3, assuming that was Kriss intend to begin with. Maybe the Roaring is a good thing, or it doesn't matter at all. I wouldn't even be surprised if sealing the foutains is going to do more bad than good overall.

3:20 Darkeners are embodiments of their items. Their body is more of a metaphor for the object and the feelings associated with it than an anthropomorphic object. A spam email doesn't look Spamton, a laptop doesn't look like Queen, and dust doesn't look like Rabbicks. According to the red horn theory, Ralsei looks like a younger Asriel because he's supposed to appear like he's Asriel's younger bio-sibling, because Kris used those horns to pretend that they are biologically related to their brother. Ralsei is Kris' idealized self, much like how the NEO body in Queen's castle is Mettaton's idealized self (minus Spamton uploading himself to it). If this theory is true, of course.

I'm late to this video but I want to say that Ralsei isn't the only one who knows Kris and Susie's names, the tutorial guys know them too and are specifically named after them. I would guess it's due to the legend being general knowledge amongst the Darkners.

The thing about "ralsei only being weeks old-" dark worlds are created with their entire history already in place, based on the physical alterations to the space in the light world. So, from Ralsei's perspective, he HAS been waiting for a very long time- an unused inanimate object sitting forgotten in the supply closet.
We see the same phenomenon with the Cyber World, with one example being Queen and King having a whole relationship history, including probably a divorce or breakup, despite the cyber world not existing the day prior.

Got nothing else to say other than praise to you, you pretty much sum up everything that needed to be said. Your analysis videos are always a nice treat, but this one in particular is my favourite, never liked the character writing in UT, and this video and the others made me further appreciate DR.
Toby Fox really improved here, the first game was too “on the nose” about almost everything (maybe that was intentional, but it was slightly obnoxious for me) and the mysteries (especially Gaster) felt like a badly written creepypasta. I hope we get the other chapters soon, but alas good stories take time to develop. Anyways, you deserve move love and attention, I can’t wait for more videos from you.

A thing to note is that unlike Susie and Ralsei, who are facing perpendicular to the camera like in the Peanuts scene, Kris is at an angle. Their kicks are also at a different tempo than when Snoopy does it.
Perhaps this is meant to further highlight the differences between Kris and the other party members, or maybe Tony was just playing some TF2.

By the way, I think that Ralsei's green clothes are derived from green chalk. Just like the red horns, he is absent from the house, and for some reason the game voices such a small detail. Maybe Ralsei is made of crayon, red horns, maybe two things at once, or maybe green is just Kris's favorite color.
(Sorry for the mistakes, I'm using a translator).

A theory i have believed for a while is that Ralsei is Kris' phone we have been shown in undertale that smartphones and even social media are canonical. Most smartphones have some sort of ai like siri or bixby. And have unlimited access to whats on the phone. Considering that he would know kris, suzie, azriel and have a more familiar form due to kris' family being goat people.

I believe that Ralsei is probably something Kris always keeps on his person, like an accessory of enough importance to be unseen in the equipment, similar to Kris's shirt and pants in the lightworld.
Perhaps he could be a locket, perhaps the horns, I don't know.
But I think this is how he travels between dark worlds, just being on Kris's person perpetually

it is of my own hypothesis that ive surmised from my own extremely deep practically religious understanding of this worlds magic's paradigm
    there are in total 2
1 is built off the theory ralsei is somehow intrinsic to kris, either that eh is possesed by asriel who is supposidly DEAD, and his area of "falling" that is when monsters die and turn to DUST was the closet. so ralsei is either a manifestation of this possesion, the dark truth that asriel has yet again become a flowy-like entity brought back to life through determination (which is what dark fountains embew "inanimate" or "un-de-terminated" objects)
2 is that thisi s a manifestation of the first dark fountain manifesting, and a minor part of THE ROARING phenomina, when the 2 realities, one of mundanity and this determination that permiates within ANY "enclosed" dark spots, for all we know this could be the case for all forms of shadow and darkness in the light world, like a microbial dimension that threatens to grow to the same scale as the light world. it could be hte case ralsei's disposition as the prince of darkness (or one whos creation is of an extremely dark origin) can etherally travel through darkness. -think of Black Sabboth from Golden Wind Jojo's Bizzare Adventure.
so its eitehr he resides in kris, eitehr by means of psychological/spiritual
or the dark worlds cut deeper than what we (ratehr everyoen else except me) can comprehend

Whoever told Ralsei the things he knows, probably created the world of Deltarune itself (in universe).
How did the first dark fountain get created? It would take a reckless knowledge seeker, wouldn't it?

While this is an interesting detail, I would still think that this is for the sake of variety in the cutscene, along with conveying the idea that Ralsei is passively displeased with the development.
