Finally 🙌🏻 Someone who has taken us to a place to where, “Evidence that demands a verdict” in our thinking. Dr. Tabor~takes us to the “truth of the matter” with the “knowledgeable facts” meaning he has looked, studied and without bias gone to the earliest transcripts. I love that he mentioned in his previous videos~that “he wanted to go, not to the traditional places in Isreal” but, to the actual places. That, basically it was possible! And, now in this video with the reading of the Hebrew Bible in English but, it being written and expressed in true Hebrew! I’m in! You have my complete attention…The freedom that this provides in the Christian walk is beyond belief. This puts a realism as to who, what and where. Archaeologically, historically and evidential. Not, mystically and spiritualism as (I believe) is taught in our Western culture….pure and unadulterated!!! Thank you~Dr. Tabor for your years of study, teaching, travel and research…

One of the last videos I watched of his was when he talked about the strange biblical doctrine of demons ruling hell. At no time was that an actual biblical teaching. That's a medieval Christian belief but not a biblical one.

God flowing, traveling or moving through the garden seems more consonant with the Divine properties and consistent with later Divine encounters as reported through Scriptures.

I got it a while back along with some of his other books, including and especially Paul's Ascent which is worldview changing and "suspicion-confirming", at least for me. His Genesis is SO different, in a good and interesting way, from all that we have in the NRSV, which I've used for years, and I'm sure is different from all the others. It's got 900+ footnotes. It's a scholarly work as are the rest of his books.

Hi, I am so glad you did this interview. Thank you. Dave, might I suggest that you do NOT interrupt him or even say "yeah" or "right" after every three words he says. The reason why is when you speak over him then not only do we not hear you, we also do not hear him. This means that there is a lot of wasted time where we hear two voices for probably one quarter or one third of the interview and all that time is LOST and wasted space. Additionally, it distracts from the flow and the listener has to restart applying their listening skills which takes even MORE time and distracts from the depth required to understand this deep information. PLEASE consider your listeners rather than servicing your personal needs and your channel will be more attractive. Thank you. 🙏🙏🙏

The book of genesis is a book about beginnings. I think all 5 books of Moses are combined under the title. And it's is highly significant that the first word is not only the subject and title, it is also the word Jacob used to describe his first begotten son. The subject of the Bible is not Reuben, but some say the entire book is about God's only begotten son. I believe it is also about a multi-portioned (hebrew) faith and the beginnings in each part if the journey.

Appears your showing more of what the relationship may have been like between Adam and the LORD. Kinda helps explain why G-d actually had put so much enmity between them, Adam and Eve when they walked out of his Garden. I can only imagine how much loss as well as resentment may have formed between them. I don’t know, but it does look like we are again walking there same paths. It is amazing. Quick question, are you going to sell your book in Audible? It would be cool to hear how you actually feel when you read your interpretation of this book.

Gratitude for clearing up the age old misconception around the idea of woman being created to be a mans " help meet " . This is widely misunderstood and results in women's role being reduced to a male servant. This was a massive stumbling block for me .Your translation of the Hebrew "cogig do " which actually means: the thing corresponding to him opposite" ".You further clarified that 'Meet ' in old English refered to a fitting .As described the help meet is better understood as a metaphor for ( procreation)lock and key or thrust and receptacle. In otherwords man and woman are created equal and that together reflect the different natures of the creator .

Isn't "in the beginning" the title and subject of the whole of the Penteteuch? Maybe I said this before? The algorithm brought me back here this morning. I feel like this is the Lord. Jacob will express HIS beginning with this same word. He might have lifted Reuben for others to see the new baby and announced, this is our "berasheet!" I would expect someone to translate ברושית as Πρωτον. THE Proton, rather than the beginning. I don't know Hebrew, but I have the ear to hear (or HAD, I guess It's still with me, although I haven't used it for a long time.Although this is pronounced with a long "u" like Ruth, I see "rose." This is the FACE of God. I'm sure rose means face in some laguage. Rose is the beginning of the day, because rose is the color of the sky. Rose is also the end of the day. The first is the same as the last. The Bible is a book about the beginning of all things, the person and his creation. And I want to bring up the Proton Psalm because of how it begins. Depending on where you pause in the word "lamasa" it can mean 'Why," or it can question the meaning or use of a word. Is it "ινατι" or is this "ίνα τι?" Have you ever questioned this? Does David foresee the crucifixion and the question of whether "my God" set his son down and walked on him as an infant* UNDER his feet. Or was he set ASIDE momentarily to provide salvation for us. Lamasa: παραλείπει. (Ίνα τι) καταλείπεν or should it have been παραλειπεν. Was Father God the ultimate good Samaritan in fulfilling the royal command to love your neighbor (your neighbor's children) as your own--to set aside the physical life if his son for the greater need which was the eternal life of the neighbor's son.. Ινστι? Or Ίνα τι? (* I've wondered about the day when the enemy went into the temple to loot it. Mothers came from the places where they were shut in with nursing babies. They set their babies aside for the sanctity of the Holy of holies and the most holy place. I wondered about how this was recorded. Maybe you've wondered, too?)
I want to watch the crucifixion scene in movies.. I think I would have been at the cross. But I can't bring myself to watch plays or movies of the crucifixion. Not ever.. it isn't entertainment.. After the tragedy and the trauma, their is the beautiful realization. Our Father set aside his son for the need of the neighbor's son. There is no greater love. People have debated whether Jesus was God or man. If they need to ask that question, I think they need to start again. I repeat the obvious, but God has 4 manifestations we normally think of: Son, Father, Holy Spirit AND the rare presence of the Most High God who is the unity of the 3. But there is also מאת when the father is with the son as God with us. The Father and the Holy Spirit were both present at the conception of the Son. The Holy Spirit came upon her and a child was conceived. He is made of biological material and is as much "man" as any other member of mankind. He is also God. I don't need to untangle the trinity; I just know. Jesus was present with me one day as the voice behind me, assuring me with an assurance I didn't even know I would shortly need. That is a man's voice (understatement) and your eardrum vibrates with the sound. God/Jesus speaks with whatever language and accent we use. He sounds like the 33 year old man znd I'd say his voice is a strong baritone. I've heard the voice of many waters which is incredibly beautiful. I think it was the 7 spirits. And, of course, the still small voice, the breath of God Almighty. I think all the sons of God hear the still small voice, but probably more often than me. You don't tell people because they wouldn't believe you anyway. The visions had to be told. If it were the answer someone wanted, they wouldn't have needed the help. The two times the spirit entered my house, it was very frightening. I'm don't mean to say I was afraid of God. I don't know if I could ever get used to the presence of God.

As such, my argument is that the morality taught by the sect that they follow leads to the actions and thus that faith holds some responsibility for the actions that occurred.

She has skin that equates with the covering of the tabernacle. It darkens in the sunlight, I think. But we dare not admit that any likeness of God as female. David had a secret garden where he meditated and some secret passage into the temple?
One question I can't answer. Why did Jesus wait until Jairus' daughter was fully 12 years old before going to her. I know it was her birthday. Did she need to be 12 before she could decided to believe? And if this is so, does everyone get a last offer to accept faith?

Read the book of Genesis with a heart toward the outcast (such as Hagar and Ishmael, Esau, Tamar-Perez-Zerah, Rachel-Jacob-Joseph-Benjamin, Manasseh-Ephraim) and you might have a different reading.

1:17:00 Originally mankind was not to grasp and consume knowledge of good and bad. Since the disobedience of HaAdam and Eva, their offspring would be born with the ability to eventually decide what is good and bad for themselves. The original design was obediance. After consuming the produce of the forbidden, each human decides what is good and bad for themselves. Everyone can go their own way. That is what is meant by being lost.

Interesting and educational video but, damn, an ad break every 2 to 5 minutes is excessive. I realize we endure ads to watch great content like this; but seriously, content peovider, is this really how you want your content to be viewed?

    • b r o o d i h g. • I can feel that fluttering of the brooding eagle over its egg. The sound of purring. And these from the spirit of God brooding on the face of cold icy waters. As i hear it and feel it, i recall that Job reveals lightning from the crystals in snow clouds. • warm air and icy clouds • i can see the lightning fill the sky and hear the ear-piercing crash of a nearby lightning strike. Theres a language coded in the lightning. Fish and birds were created from light and water. The spirit of God brooding is what brought forth. First light...and then the borders of light. It wouldn't surprise me at all to see the code in light build everything. The same spirit brooded over Mary and transferred or constructed the DNA of the word as a human being. One sperm cell has the code necessary to create 30,000,000,000,000 cells all with their own instructions. (The creator has some reason for asking us not to pollute the DNA. We don't know everything.) Creating atomic particles would be easy--same pattern as everthing else.

Elyon is the first soul, the first consciousness creator who thought of a plan - a collection of thoughts - to define all subsequent creation, and inspired the two errant souls who led the first experiment in the creation of the multiverse - earlier versions of Lucifer and Lilith - to all the sins of the Big Bang duoverse that prepared the way for the Gaia experiment to be set up and executed in spite of many Great Resets far more frightening than the one the adversary's minions are trying to pull off these days. El-Shaddai is the force behind Karma, who judges all souls according to their merits and guides them to their "place just right" in a series of incarnations of experience and choices.
You cannot come to a logical and rational understanding of spiritual science without sorting out the millennia of self-serving materialist power fantasy-feeding revisionism found in all scriptures - from the Sumerian Enuma Elish, Egyptian Book of the Dead, the Vedas, the Bible, and to modern day works of prophecy that are embedded in books and culture that only a few see as part of an evolving spiritual truth. Only by searching out what is consistent with God as the first of a collection of independentlyh evolving spiritual scientists, each working on their own perfect creations within the evolving laws of the game of souls, can you have any deep understanding of why you as an individual human-incarnated soul are here, why humanity is here, and how it all fits into a 12 step program of creation of which we are only nearing the completion of day 7 of the therapy - creating all the primary treatment centers that are the various spiritual universe heavens and hells folks are reporting from near death experiences and psychedelic trips and will be experiencing in their next trip to the afterlife.
You don't have to trust what I say, find out for yourself when you experience the version of the apocalypse you have earned with your own words and deeds. Happy Karma!
