- This is my first Carpenters "Enhanced Version" so I hope you like it. I picked my favorite Carpenters song for this one. I spent a few extra hours mixing this one down. There are chords in this song I never played before and they are arranged in an amazing sequence! The superiority of these artists to today's trash is obvious to anyone who
examines it! I see these things first hand every time I take on the task of enhancing another song or artist.

I woke up with this song in my head. I cried. It's August 15, 2020 and the USA doesn't have the Coronavirus under control and people are dying. Karen Carpenter's voice was just perfect. One of my top five vocalist of all times. I love her voice ❤. RIP Karen Carpenter

Back in 1980 I was riding my bike down a street and heard this song played from an open window in an apartment building. When I heard it I stopped riding and just listened to it. I felt goosebumps on my back. No other song has ever given me such a feeling. At the time I didn't know them that well. Years later I found out that they sang : "They long to be close to you" back in 1970. I thought that song was good and they should do other songs. Well , I didn't know they had done other songs, because there was so much music back then, and any other songs they did, was probably not played much by teens in my neighborhood. Thanks to RUclips I can hear what I want to now.
Singing along with Karen today as I get ready to celebrate my daughter's birthday September 12, 1969 at 1:29am, which makes her a young 53 yr old young lady! So much love the Carpenters' songs always!!!
I honestly did not believe that Karen's voice could sound any better but Ken you have achieved a superlative with this. It sounds beautiful quite simply beautiful, you should feel very proud of a job very well done. Best wishes Nick
Thanks Nick I had a lot of requests for the Carpenters and this was always my favorite. I'll consider doing some more since I have a Carpenters CD! Ken

Originally a children’s Sesame Street song. Richard re orchestrated it adding Karen’s angelic voice and shared it to the world. Another timeless classic that will be played for a whole another generation to experience its wonderful and happy message.
Great Job! I had the extreme good fortune to see them live twice (Billy Preston opened for them on one) This was around the same time I got to see The Who, Grand Funk Railroad, Alice Cooper and Humble Pie. I say that because watching Karen Carpenter out front but behind a Drum Kit was mesmerizing. This little ball of fire put on a Show and her 9 minute drum solo I would only put a close second to Moonie. My girlfriend talked me into it and it was a stunning revelation that this girl was a major talent. It really was a shame that in nearly 95% of all of The Carpenters TV appearances, the networks wanted to 'see her' out front and just singing and never placed her where she could really show the world her beautiful Gift.

This song touched my heart since I was a little boy in 1997, sang it with my old classmates in the music class at Jenner Elementary School. I love it and I had great times!!!

Karen Carpenter and Olivia Newton-John had the two most beautiful female voices of the 70s. Both are now singing in God's heavenly choir.

Yes it's a bit corny, but it's also timeless and wonderful to listen to. With today's "music" being loaded with profanity and hatred, it's nice to hear a sweet little tune. The chorus is the Kyoto Children's Choir in Japan. RIP Ms. Karen Carpenter.

Very nice job. Do more Carpenters. I think their songs will make great listening experiences as the music was clear and well performed originally. Clear sound, no fuzz box, no distortion and so forth in the original. So your work will be highlighted...!

With you 100%. Back then everybody had their own style, songs told a story and so on. We sang in in our elementary school assembly along with this recording playing very loud. Our instruction was to sing with the kids on the recording , so you really felt like you were singing with Karen.. Was a lot of fun in an auditorium full of kids.. Talking maybe 1973 .

@@MVR326 omg , lol so me and my mom and dad were In our living room one night watching RUclips on our big 55 inch TV and my dad loves to watch compilations of old commercials from the 60s and 70s his era, and one came in from the 70s and it was for hot wheels and it showed a kid about 15 years old yelling out his bedroom window HOT WHEELS MY HOUSE IN 5 MINUTES! , lol my dad started to laugh so hard cuz he remembers the commercial like it was yesterday and I had asked him lol is that how it really was, he goes Jess your exactly right lol, you wanted your friends on your block to come play with you, you hollered loud and clear and they would come runnin to your front lawn, it was great

You guys have to realize that I do not have many of the songs people request.
I don't even own a Stones CD. People try to send me mp3 copies of but I won't use anything buy a wave file at 1440 kbs. Eventually I'll get around to some of these requests but there is just too many great songs to choose from.
I can understand that, I am rather new to your channel and am really enjoying what I hear.

You would have to have access to the original wave files in my collection.
The entire library can be put on a flash card. There are 325 enhanced songs
that is 8.4 Gigabites in size. If you send me a flash drive I'll copy the entire library and send it back to you. I also have most the back track sessions
where you can hear all the tracks that were added "up front" with the original turned down. People really love hearing that stuff cause you can hear exactly what was added on each channel.
CBS radio in California requested a copy of them along with all the enhance versions a while back.The back track sessions are saved on mp3 format (320kbs) to save space. Both together come to 10.2 gigabites. If interested contact me at my main E-mail address (jedinight17961@yahoo.com) ,Kenn
