Well even the pathfinder does have a ladder frame section integrated. Another example of a unibody 4x4 would be the Jeep Cherokee XJ. One hell of a beast weighing only 1500 kilos. Sad we never go them in India😭
The part i missed in the previous video is that Pathfinder was a monocoque. One question, Though the pathfinder did cross the uphill sections with 4L, and being a powerful petrol(by Indian power stds) do you think the torque of a diesel engine would have made it even easier in this scenario?
@@akhileshgiri8044 I guess you haven't seen a lot of 4x4s especially in the west are usually petrol powered. Diesels are good for low end torque but petrol offers more momentum. Also the 3.5l petrol v6 in the Pathfinder produces nearly as much low end torque as the Gurkha.
I have learnt a lot from your channel. The way you explain everything in detail is truly amazing. You always try to simplify even complex topics. I am eagerly waiting for the day when you include upcoming Jimny/Gypsy in your garage. It will be the most interesting offroad battle ever. I am very much interested in Jimny/Gypsy because of its simple and fuel efficient petrol engine which will be much easier to manage in even extreme conditions.
Bhai while downhill keep Gurkha in 4L, eg @11:16 u were in High gear, engaged clutch n applied breaks, this inconsistency makes vehicle to loose grip n it probably can go out of control. Always use engine breaking in 4L. Rest Keep it up u r doing good. 👍🏻
It was soO satisfying to watch that great SUV and it was fully loaded thow it's not even loosing grips and it was highly capable then Gurkha it was the king of our Indian SUV s now

if its a petrol 3.5l v6 it means it has same engine as nissan350z/370z , if you modify the exhaust it sounds amazing and a lot of tuning potential and the engine lot of aftermarket support abroad

GURKHA is kept underpowered by the company. GURKHA has 2596 cc DETUNED engine, which is capable of generating 500Nm TORQUE and 300 Bhp HORSEPOWER. Nobody knows that GURKHA is a hidden gem. GURKHA IS MORE CAPABLE THAN ANY OTHER OFF ROADERS in the market that are costing more than 30 lakh.
He has done some good mods, however the pathfinder is not an ideal vehicle for offroad trips the CVT gearbox lets the car down. A better option of these old cars is the 70 or 80 series Landcruiser
This comment is not to offend anyone. But if you are truly off road track lover, then all these tracks are a piece of a cake compared to MANDALPATTI & KODACHADRI off road in KARNATAKA. Try it out in your THAR or GURKHA. That would be the actual test for these vehicles. That would be worth for your modified vehicles.

I think it could need less revs if it was same capacity diesel instead of petrol.
Definitely. That's what diesel does. Off-road and diesel goes hand in hand.
