Austin Texas band " Freedom Express" later to become "Freedom Machine". 1976. Actually, the reverse side " She Shakes" was the release but this made the mark instead. I play Keyboards on this TRACK, '76. Long live the oldies !
This is another favorite oldie that Pamela and I loved to listen to. I still remember listening to these fine oldie,s when I was in the Marines stationed at Camp Pendleton. Sean Green, Arly Barly, and Huggy Boy from, XPRS, The mighty 10-90. And let,s not forget, Art Laboe from KRLA. All these beautiful memories. Cruising in my 1971 Buick Riviera, with the burgundy and gold paint scheme. The colors of the Washington Redskins. I talked with a member of Group car club from East LA ( Boyle Heights, City of Los Angeles) down at Chicano Park in San Diego. He liked the paint job, and he told that, he is a diehard Washington Redskins fan. It sure made me feel much better. Well Buono Notte everyone, and Benedire Dio. Keep on cruisin. Love you all.
sitting at the park in Portland Oregon listening to the best old rolas! Thinking about my carnales. Pensando que things have changed so much but these songs bring back everything.
I honest;y started reading the comments and thought i had made this comment. Crazy I aint mexican either but I was born in 1961 and grew up in the Wyvernwood Projects next door to the Estrada Courts. God Bless and just enjoying the music

I know these guys are from LA cuz I used to live in Compton now everything for the rappers Compton days Compton that come from this Wiis were there when the Watts Riot happened that was 1963 we stayed there for a long while after it's been after we came to Stockton but Compton and was always our hometown my cousin is it across the street my dad's call Mother and composite live right next door so we were always having fun outside there was 6 of us and my mom and dad 3 girls 3 boys and my mother and father had a blast and I love this song you wouldn't hear this in Stockton God bless♥️♥️🎵🎵🎷🎷🎸🎸🎼🎼
slowly wind, breezy though breaking my heart filled with darkness's well I'm sure seem like your breaking me down once again hopefully the feeling blowing around breezy waves cold as the air kick my heart of pain hurt darkness sadness mad muddy thinking feeling hurt after all ... Trying over over with all I got to show knowing seeing feeling hear everything breaking me down Why when been done it before feeling hurt pain took for everything step on lie used knock down sadly blowing mix wind breezy smoke around in my heart head body blood rushing hot crazy funny lost soul love messy care less cold wind flows into lost darkness days that goes by
Back then homies/gangsters were “Vatos y Pachucos, later Cholos”. The guys always had the clothes very creased with their Pendleton shirts draped over their fore arms, some wire fishnet on the heads to keep their hair laying back. The girls were called “Rucas” with their teased up hair and tight short skirts. I remember being a kid riding my bike from the La Medina projects on Sunday nights to look at the low rider car clubs cruising Whittier Blvd in East LA, Later we moved to Santa Ana and it was downtown 4th street. In the 7th grade a white guy named Roger but everyone called him “Fish” (his face looked like a fish) that was all pachuco started F Troop originally there were a half dozen jr. high school kids (67’-68’ Santa Ana) Shit the music was great My older primos (Ruben, Tony, and Ceci) were the real things. RIP Ruben & Tony In those days they fought with fist, sticks, and knives, no weasel drive by shootings Today blacks are credited for the “homie/gangster” thing but it was Mexicans that were the originals, back then blacks didn’t dare do that lifestyle, due to the white racist culture of the times. That culture started in East LA and Pacoima in the late 50s and 60s before the word “Chicano” had been coined or “la Raza” which became popular during the Ceaser Chavez days
Black and brown history that is!!!!!!! it doesn't matter but just to drop some knowledge the zoot suits started from the jazz culture but at the end of the day beautiful history
