Kasa kd110? That's available in europe/uk and also wired. It's a new product. Confused about the kasa and tapo ecosystems as they are both owned by TP-Link. I guess one is merging into the other at some point......actually I don't think it is a new product, despite the main website saying so
@@SimVRRacing The KD110 is not a new product, at least not in the US. Also, no Kasa is not going anywhere. It will stick with its core product lines (Switches, Cameras, Plugs, Lighting) while Tapo will expand into other smart home categories. Hi, I had a Ring doorbell and I changed it for a Tapd D130. I have the subscription to save the videos in the cloud. Can the videos only be seen in the app? I have searched to see if they can be seen on the website but I can't find the website where I can see these videos.
Yes, management of the cameras, including reviewing clips, whether they be local or cloud, is done through the app. The only thing that can be done through a website is viewing of the livestream via the RTSP feature: www.tp-link.com/us/support/faq/2680/
If you do not have existing wiring a D130 can't be used. Instead look at the Tapo D230 which is a battery-powered doorbell that doesn't require existing wiring.
Possibly in the future but not right now. Right now the only cameras compatible with our Smart Hubs H200 and maybe the H500 that are not the sub-G models are the Battery-Powered cameras like the TC85 or C425. Also check out this video as it shows this feature off.ruclips.net/video/wMIHajcMf90/видео.html
If your home does not have an existing doorbell then it likely does not have the wiring to install the D130. In that case you would need a battery powered doorbell like the D230 or the TD25.
No, Doorbells like the Tapo D130 and Kasa KD110 are wired only and require existing doorbell wiring to be available. However you can look for the Tapo D230S1. This is a 100% battery operated doorbell and does not need existing wiring to be used. Battery Doorbells can also be placed anywhere your home's Wi-Fi can reach.
Couldn't tell you I am afraid. This channel is ran by the US team and we only have product information for the US. You can email support.CA@tp-link.com and see if Canadian support can answer your question though.
Are you referring to the plug-in chime at the end of the installation/setup process? That is the included chim from TP-Link/Tapo and is the only one compatible with this doorbell. If you are referring to the one on the wall that had the jumper installed its just the chime installed at the time the home was built. Its brand doesn't really matter since built in chimes all work under the same principle and wiring and that its being bypassed anyways.
The Tapo D130 isn't a battery-operated doorbell. It makes use of the wiring used by an existing doorbell. The Tapo D230S1 is a battery-operated doorbell, so that might be the one you are thinking about. For that doorbell unfortunately not. The charging port is located on the back side of the doorbell so it would require being moved off the mounting plate to charge. Charges on the D230S1 can last up to 180 days between charges. So, depending on activity you would likely only need to charge once a year.

It is designed for standard doorbell wiring. This involves a transformer which lowers the voltage to the two wires at the doorbell. As far as I understand the 10 to 24 volts at the doorbell and 110 to 120 volts at the transformer.
