Look how sweet and loving this dog is. Why would someone throw away such a sweet, loving dog? Some people don't deserve the air they breathe. Why did they get an animal if they weren't going to take care of him? That isn't fair to the animal. Those people were this animals whole life. It's just shameful. Peace 🕊️

What a sweetheart I would like to take the people that did this to this boy abandoned them in the desert at night we're all the wildlife is at and see how they would like it thank you for being there people that spotted this baby and did the right thing and called to get it rescued

This dog is sweet and kind. It’s a shame these animals are at the mercy of humans. I do hope the nasty heartless person who abandoned him has nightmares and bad luck for the rest of their lives. I would like to thank a family from Germany a million times for helping the dog. There should be an obligation to register and chip animals. People can be disgusting and ruthless when they abandon their animals. They are sick in the head because they think that because it is warm, the animals will cope.

When he was abandoned, he probably did not understand why and what was going on. So the anxiety of abandoned is felt. And now he meets love and care!❤
Dogs stay where they were abandoned,🐕💔 hoping naively their awner comes back! Waiting hours in the warmth! Poor babies! They never come back because they are heartless and cowards! 😢

He has a fine personality and may find a home soon. In the meantime, he looks like he will be an amiable companion to the other dogs there. Great rescue ---- so sad to think of him running up and down amongst the cars looking for his former owners or to find a new adopter.... Well, he's really 'landed in clover' (american meaning he's really done richly well ) when the tourists helped get him to Takis.
This has made me tearful, because of how lovely these people have been to look out for this dog and make sure he is not left alone, and looked after before they return home to Germany. This is a lovely outcome. Bless them. Good people

This why I’m reluctant to travel to Greece and many other countries. In my travels I’ve seen so many abandoned dogs, abused dogs & dogs left on a chain . Too many to help & I can’t ignore it anymore
Same. I visited Bangalore in 2009 and had an experience with a stray dog that's with me to this day.
We were in a parking lot walking somewhere I can't recall, and walked past a stray dog. At the same time we passed this dog, I raised my hand to brush my hair out of my face. The poor dog backed up and cowered. Clearly someone had abused the dog to the extent that a hand raised for any reason meant a blow was coming.
As long ago as it was, that particular dog probably crossed the Rainbow Bridge by now and hopefully running happy and free of all abuse.
How can they abandon this sweet little doggie?So sad and cruel. Poor baby looking for kindness and love for days until now. Lucky and thank you for the German couple for saving him

Jacqui, it's not only Crete; it's the same all over eastern and southern Europe. And other parts of the world. It's such a sad situation. Thank goodness for the compassionate rescuers.
Animal abuse, neglect and abandonment happens all over the world. Obviously, it's worse in some areas than others.
I saw many, many strays when I visited Athens, Istanbul and Bangalore. As an animal lover, it's heartbreaking especially knowing there's nothing I can do to help or save these poor creatures. My travel experiences have led me to decide to visit countries that don't have the same level of issues with strays, abandoned animals, and stronger animal welfare laws.
You are making a mistake. You think Crete is worse than other places because You see all these videos from Takis and also Jutta shelter. But there are other really bad places for dogs or cats too, especially in Southern Europe, but also Russia, Romania, Serbia a.s.o.The rescuers there are just not so famous and also don't post videos so often. Watch Sasha shelter or dogs of Mladenovic.
@@mrsterious5845 I understand You very well. That's why we don't travel to Crete anymore, it's too sad. Close to the hotel was a big colony of cats, all of them only bones. The same with Istanbul, I've been there for several and also longer times for visiting friends, but I can't see all these skinny and sick dogs and cats anymore. A lot of people say it's a cat paradise but it's not. They just live from left overs which make them sick. And you see a lot of sick or injured cats in the street if your eyes are open.😂
