    My friend for those that criticize this bike as being too expensive blah blah blah they don't get the bike at all.
    This bike is the perfect Super Sport motorcycle for riding in cities and back roads where you can row up and down the gears, enjoying that sweet screaming inline 4-cylinder without excessively breaking the speed limit and losing your license or maybe your life, like you would on 600 CC and 1,000 CC Super Sports.
    What fun is riding a 1,000 CC super sport which can reach 100 mph in first gear, and where your stuck in first gear the whole time??

    People love yapping about the price but it's the cheapest 4 cylinder bike on the market, in my country at least. And compared to a CB650R or a Z900 this is a much more compelling bike. There's a good reason the 90's 400's are worth more than their 600, 750 and 1000 counterparts.

    • @Zx6rBlue
      @Zx6rBlue 20 дней назад +2

      I think it's a decent price, its under 10k and it's an inline 4. It's never going to be as cheap as a twin or single sub 500cc bike.

    I was just about to buy a bmw f900r just before these were announced, had to immediately cancel the order and get the 4rr instead. I used to have a zx6r and that was the best bike I even owned, now I’m getting on a bit the 4rr is perfect for me, the sound of that induction roar and inline 4 is so addictive plus it’s aggressive enough ergonomically but not so much that you ache like hell after 1 hours riding. And the thing is so nimble and handles beautifully. Once you get used to the gearing you can really thrash it , just drop a couple of gears for the overtake with that awesome auto blipper and you’re flying past.

    People nowadays just don't get it, in the 90s we all went mad for 400s because of the exact reasons you are saying now, only then we were able to progress to 600s and 750s and maybe even 1000s, but today, with everyone against speeding, with ironically the fastest and safest vehicles man has ever produced, it makes sense to dive back into what made 400s 'god tier' in the 90s

    Excellent review!!! One of the few open-minded and non-biased reviews I've seen. After thoroughly researching and studying the Triumph Daytona 660, the R7, the Aprilia 660, the new GSX 8r and CBR 650.. my son decided to get this bike. He picks up this KRT edition this week. Although it will be detuned ( we live in N. America )..it gives him a yr to break it in and ring out that 56HP ..then get the ECU flash, exhaust and intake done by next summer! 🦾

    But I'll hold on and save my money for the ZX4rr. 40th ano. I want another 4 cyl. For it's sound. The Z900RS was too much hooligan for me. I must protect the CDL licence and job. Great videp.

    Correct me if I'm wrong, it's my impression that around the mid-late 00s, the 600cc supersport category became slightly too track and performance focused. The redlines were increased, and a little comfort was lost. This was partially addressed on a small scale by Honda having the CBR600F alongside the 600RR. In more recent years the Ducati Supersport which will be more comfortable than the Panigale. The GSXR1000S is marketed as a comfortable sport bike for the road. Of course, Kawasaki is the first to revive the 400cc 4-cylinder category of sport bikes, and it sounds to me like they've produced something amazing. I hear it's less cramped than the 80s/90s machine of old, and of course, revving several thousand rpms higher than the old bike. I'd be hard pushed to choose between this 400 and the CBR650 if I wanted a 4-cylinder sport bike that isn't trying to be the fastest.
    I think a group test is required. Kwak 400, CBR650, R7, GSX8R, Aprilia RS660, and the new Daytona 660.

    • @SludgedB
      @SludgedB 21 день назад

      Yes by the year 2970 the 600cc class was very much a thing of the past… oh and the 400 gets smoked by all the bikes you mentioned.

    • @wolfpackpete6408
      @wolfpackpete6408 21 день назад

      @SludgedB , that will depend on the roads or track in question. None of the bikes I've mentioned are track focused. They're comfortable sport bikes for the road.
      There's varying reports of the top speed of the new 400. Even in a drag race, it wouldn't be embarrassed and might even beat some of the bigger bikes. They're not tuned for top end power. They're only guaranteed to have more low revs torque.
      The CBR650r is only reported to top out at 138mph. The RS660, 139mph... the 400 is reported to max out at 150mph

    Would the basic 400 parallel twin not be even more ‘street-able’ though, and have more torque on the low end?

    • @Drobium77

      no, because they are a lot......a huge lot..slower than a 400/4

    • @davebewick
      @davebewick 22 дня назад +1

      @@Drobium77 If the idea is to have fun at legal speeds though, the top speed isn’t all that relevant? I thought the 400 might be quicker off the mark due to having more low end? But I haven’t ridden both. Have ridden the 400 and the 636 though

    • @Drobium77
      @Drobium77 22 дня назад

      @@davebewick I have a ninja 650, I've also owned a lot of bikes between the 2 ranges over the last 28 years, and yes, the 400 twin would be quicker up to maybe 50mph and the 650 would be a lot quicker up to 60mph, but the 400/4 would beat them both on top end.
      But that isn't the point , 400/4s are so much fun as they sound amazing and are easy to ring out at leagalish speeds and still make you feel like a GP rider.
      One of the best bikes I ever rode and owned ,was a CBR400RR back in 1998 and that bike kept up with everything in the lanes of England, they are the best size and speed for our back roads

      @Drobium77 is surprising the 400/4 beats the 650 on top end. But that says more about the 650 and it's low state of tune. Rs660 would definitely beat the 4/400 everywhere.

    • @DjChronokun
      @DjChronokun 4 дня назад +1

      anyway, people seem to just love contradicting themselves with sports bikes, they'll say a ZX-10R is "too fast" and say a ZX-25R "doesn't have enough torque", but both can pop wheelies and both can do extremely illegal speeds, of course a bigger bike will have more torque and do even more excessively illegal speeds too, you either want that or you don't, or care about that or you don't
      but they're all fun to ride and are pretty much all impossible to actually rev out to redline without being a bit silly
