Thank you!! It might not "feel" like a full swing but you are getting to the "11 o'clock position" as described by Bryson DeChambeau. That is a pretty big swing.. Also, your back is toward the target in almost every shot. 190 yds is a LONG 7 i for most golfers. YOUR swing looks GREAT!
I reckon I’ve just watched this video about 10 times in a row. Tried it in the range and wow. Feels very nice and easy. Rhythm and tempo are super important. Thanks Russell
After watching videos with your wife, my partner has just started playing,i was intrigued by this wrist free action and tried it myself, my ball striking has transformed, as has distance and consistency, I'm a low single figure senior, an easy to implement for anyone i feel.
Omg you got some naysayers here. I grasp what your saying by doing the drill where trail hand is under left hand on takeaway. It stops your backswing to where hands are about shouder height. AND yes lead arm is across chest creating torque with transition move. Had great reults with your drill. Don't hear out naysayers Russell.
I think the concept of the “one piece takeaway” has confused a lot of people, and as a consequence would never discover this concept. As you said, a ton of people chase their arms on the way back.
Brilliant video Russell.. need to work on this. Quick question are you in a open stance ? Looks a little from the video but could be camera angle. Thank you appreciate all your videos.
It looks like your shoulders only get to about 80 or 85 degrees turn and you don't cock the wrists? I'm always hearing from the teachers on RUclips to keep the hands in front of the chest and not pull the lead arm across the chest while getting the club to almost horizontal at the top of the golf swing. You are contradicting years of what I have heard from teachers including even from you, I think.
Definitely one of the BEST Golf Instructors on RUclips! Thanks
Thanks Roger 🙏🏻

Your instruction really hits the mark, it all makes so much sense and so logically presented. Thank you.

Pretty sure you didn't watch it with Russell's wife. 😮

Excellent easy to understand explanation
Thank you
You are welcome!
What’s your recommendation for the best swing thought to start the downswing ?

compact. v cool vid mate. keeping it simple. gonna def try all this
Love it! Why do you think other instructors do not mention this?
Great video! Can this swing concept work when using the driver?
Why wouldn’t it?

So you mean during the backswing ,you only elevate your arms ? It that true ?
Thank you.
Is there a different downswing sequence following the shorter takeaway?
Man..i gotta say.. you've got a _sweet_ swing.
Question: Have a problem keeping the left arm Straight thru out the backswing.(it bends). Any tips/drills?..thanks
Interesting grip just like a putting grip ,left index finger overlapping right hand grip .I have never seen that before.
Fire! 🔥
So you dont interlock or overlap your grip traditionally.
Eeehhhh ... OK but where is the "NO backswing" ...
This is similar to Stack and Tilt.
Don’t give them all the secret sauce Russ
No backswing? I saw plenty.
