The second stone was to mark her brother John F Kennedy Jr's life, but also to mark that he visited her grave on 29 July 1963 (even though think it may have been his second visit to there). So you stood where JFK once stood to pay his respects to his sister. From an article about the visit it said: "After visiting his sister’s grave in July 1963, JFK walked the 100 yards through the churchyard to where cars were waiting. Then, as he stepped into the car, the crowd of around 25 reacted with a flutter of restrained applause. JFK stood back, smiled, waved and ducked into the Bentley". Also: "Several months after JFK’s assassination, Robert Kennedy visited his sister’s grave at Edensor on January 25, 1964. Flying from London with his wife in a pink and blue helicopter, it was reported Robert Kennedy placed daffodils and tulips on his sister’s grave." Really interesting video. Thanks Paul, and for braving the rain.
I think it may be that, although they were wealthy, none of them lived quiet lives but were very active in society. Living a very full life so to speak and working with the public. Not as celebrities but as people mostly giving back.
"Though the journey had been treacherous, he bravely soldiered on, not wind nor rain stopped him from reaching his goal. He knew all along that, although he had to return along those paths, his trek would have been worthwhile." Thank you Paul, quite apt I thought
What dedication to the cause Paul. I am a keen aviation photographer, and often find myself in conditions like this, and yes you do sometimes really question why you do it. But then you get home into the dry and warmth and realise that you would never be without it! Top job as per normal. 👏
I never knew one of the Kennedys was buried in England, you learn something new every day. Thank you for the information, Paul. Shame about the weather.
Paul, Thank you for such an interesting episode in very wet conditions. I didn’t know that JFK had a sister buried in the UK so I have learnt a lot about a sad story! Thanks, Bob
Awww I never knew about Kathleen, she was prettier than her brothers 🙂, she sounds like a strong and independent lady, 28? So young. What a terrifying way to end her life. Respect to her husbands family to organise her funeral and respect to her dad for attending. Good on Kathleen to know her own mind, so sad she lost her brother and her husband within a month of each other. God bless Kathleen, rip beautiful lady, thank you Paul, this was really interesting xx
Fascinating video, Paul. I fear the poor girl was shunned by Rose. Then again, with all that happened to Kathleen, perhaps she felt vindicated; little did Rose know what was to follow....
Really interesting video Paul. Always watch your channel you work so hard to give us great entertainment. Sorry you got drenched. There's something magical about English churchyards in the rain. Thank you Paul.
i was listening to her life story and being very serious. Cause the Kennedy's is one big tragedy. And then i was in stiches when you said you looked like Noddy. Bless you Paul for donig this in all weathers .
Sad that she died so young , I never realised JFK had a sister that lived in the UK , I always learn something new in your videos ! Thanks for braving the elements to bring this to us , once again.
I read a book about the Kennedys many moons ago called ''Torn lace curtain''. It was mentioned in there she was here and that JFK had visited her grave. Thank you.
Visited her grave quite a few times as we live in the east midlands and love driving around Derbyshire, year's ago there was an article on our local tv station and it told you about K.K life and burial site, always been fascinated by the Kennedy family especially JFK I've read loads if books about them especially the tragic death of JFK in Dallas, so years back the missus said to me lets go and see JFK sisters grave, so we went and i thought this is probably the closest i would get to him and his family and to walk down the the same path and to stand at his sisters grave as JFK and Robert did was an eerie feeling in light of what happened to them both, shot by assassin's bullets, nice one Paul really enjoyed your video, cheers mate.
Oh Paul, bless you in that weather! 🌧️ I don’t do the rain lol! Roll on the summer 😎 I hope you brought some spare clothes with you to get changed! You looked soaked! Thank you for the fascinating watch yet again, however the Kennedy’s Mother sounded awful and to not even attend her Daughters funeral, so heartless 😢
Thanks for doing this video Paul, another interesting one, one would never have thought that Kathleen was laid to rest in England. Glad you didn't get Trench foot on our behalf lovely 😹🤗 Xxx
Wow what a stark contrast between this and the Kennedys grand burial site ( and Eternal Flame) at Arlington Cemetery Washington DC Which I was very privileged to visit Hard to believe it’s the same family! But a great video as usual, wonder how many of us didn’t know about her? Thank you
To be fair, the grave in Washington, D.C. is for JFK, an assassinated President, and two of his children who predeceased him. Also, RFK, his brother Robert, who was also assassinated running for President is buried there next to him. They are national graves, not family graves. All the other Kennedys are buried in other cemeteries in other states and the graves are simpler.
I live not to far from Bakewell, I often go to the Monday markets there. I didn't know she was buried there! I will have a look for her grave next time we go. What a sad ending. Thank you for getting wet and sharing this.
I visited her grave many years ago, it was just before Christmas and there were wreaths placed on the grave by the Kennedy family. If you go to Chatsworth House there are many photos of her dotted about the place.
Been to that grave Paul ,JFK visit his sister's grave in July 1963 ,4 months before his assanation that's what the marker with his name on commemorates, he came in the presidential helicopter which landed just behind the church, he had visit the grave before he was President of USA.I hope you and your car survived the horrendous weather cheers 👍

I know Edensor well, resting place for the Dukes of Devonshire and a lovely churchyard. I do apologise for the weather though Paul! Hope it doesn't put you off our part of the world! I'm guessing you didn't get into the church, only time I have ever felt spooked was in there. Haven't been back in since.
A really interesting video. I didn’t know she was buried in England. Such a sad fate for such a young woman. Thanks for bringing us this video in that awful weather, it’s appreciated
Wow what an interesting video I had no idea JFK, sister was buried in England. Thank you so much for braving the rain to bring us this story. Imagine you have stood in the place as JFK , amazing. The cemetery is beautiful especially the church even in the awful rain such a lovely area to have her final resting place.
Another great up and beyond visit to a grave on one who died so young but in her short life went with love rather than her family. It's sad to think that her mother of all people would not attend her funeral of her daughter putting her family, faith and principles above someone who she should of loved without there manipulated terms. Thank you for the video (ps you have a rather nice car and maybe a 4x4 is needed when you decide a new vehicle is needed) looking forward to your future videos
Thank you Paul that was so interesting. I didn’t know about Kathleen. The curse of the Kennedys. Yes they certainly had bad luck in their lives. Anyway Paul a great video as usual. Haven’t seen you for a while, I was only thinking of you the other day. Good luck going home to Portsmouth and take care. On your car radio put Singing in the Rain on by Gene Kelly. Bye for now. ❤
Thank you Paul, another interesting video, I didn’t even know the Kennedy family included sisters. Learn something new every day. I hope you managed to get out of the floods.
The things u go threw for us Paul,I didn’t know much of the sisters, only knew of John and Robert as these were gunned down, hope u had a large hot coffee those steps looked slippery and the church xx
thank you paul for this one awful weather but you powered through it for us l didn't know much about this lady only the tragic assassinations of the president beautiful place shame about the weather.

The amount of tragedy that has fallen on the Kennedy family is nothing less than astonishing. Thanks yet again for another great video
I think it may be that, although they were wealthy, none of them lived quiet lives but were very active in society. Living a very full life so to speak and working with the public. Not as celebrities but as people mostly giving back.
This lady's place of rest is a short distance from Chatsworth House. I know it very well indeed. Many thanks Paul.
I went to Chatsworth years ago. Where are the rest of the Devonshires' buried? On the estate or in the same churchyard?

There were a total of nine siblings.
Four boys (JPK Jr., JFK, RFK and EMK...) and five girls (Rose Marie, Kathleen, Eunice, Patricia and Jean...).
So many famous British people buried in the USA but rarely are there many notable Americans buried in Britain.
