I also like to shoot at long distances and sometimes shoot but not at 100 yards, I shoot at 100 meters and not with a HW 95, I shoot with the HW50 / 99 and hit in beer cans is no feat. These are indeed very good airguns
i have the hw95k had it since 1990 it has the same barrel weight, after a while weirauch went to silencers a waste of time glad to see they went back to the barrel weight, mine is chronoed at 11.5ftlbs easily takes targets at 50mtrs for me and its a .22 i have had folk who really can shoot use mine to hit spinners at 100 mtrs so the fac can do better in the right hands, they are keepers for sure, good video as always bud and always good to see you mate keep well..
Great review! I bought one of these guns about 20 years ago, and quite rapidly changed the regular Weihrauch 95 spring for a "Venom" kit" obtained from "Blackpool Airguns": much improved shooting characteristics, and no spring twang as before. Also, spring twang and scopes do not mix well. Besides that aspect, the 95 handles beautifully thanks to a lower weight than the models HW 35 and 80, and is indeed made to very high quality standards. Definitely good value for money for anyone seeking a solidly designed spring air rifle.
nice one Giles. Been watching you for some year now. Hope you keep that enthusiasm . Though current legislation is really gonna kill air rifle ownership in the UK. Ithink your future lies in the US. Such an individual character. Great guy is what i see. atb
Great little rifle, the 95. I have two, in .177 and .22. Simple, well made/designed and high quality - everything you want and nothing you don't. Mine seem particularly fond of Air Arms/JSBs pellets.
That rifle needs a v mach set in it or something, i can feel the twang from here, it is a great springer through, i had 2 of them, but with the silencer upfront.
i only know of a handfull if times the catch has failed an sqwished finger and everyone had trigger set to soft ,my hw97k will also just randomly shoot the second i bring the cocking underlever back to its place under the barrel if trigger set to soft...buy a cheap break barrel hold the barrel with the stock under your arm have a person randomly pull the trigger with string when your not expecting it and watch the rifle fly out of your hands on to the ground.... putting it under ya arm does f all if your not expecting it .
For anyone looking to buy I agree with all the kudos stated in the comments except for one, the scopes branded weihrauch albeit okay they've a yellow hue that didn't work for me.
Good job,,, yet again... Did you know, that you are responsible for getting me back into air rifles... My wife says thanks alot,,, I just say thanks,,, ; - )
Get one u won't regret it I got two and when I get my fac I'm getting a 17hmr weirauch too this one in the video definitely needs a tune it's very twangy also look at air arms the tx range of springers are unreal there actually the best in my opinion happy shooting 👍👍🇬🇧🇬🇧
I have a 95 and love it. I'm sat here in shock that Kip was able to shoot that accurately over 50 yards, free standing!! I'm wobbling like i'm in a hurricane when free standing! Did he have any tips on how he did it? Or was it just years and years of practice?
I had to add all kinds of things to my R9 I use a bushnell 6x24 scope oh add a shoulder strap and the H&N field target trophy just bad ass pellets I have had my R9 since I was 37 many years ago the European air guns are bad ass but in the USA there even better more power my R9 will do more than 30 yards way to much fun you should shoot my R1 both .177 I'm working on my P5 it a lot of fun or my P1
How did you get your green card, l lived in the States for two years under the wire bloody difficult getting one back then ,lived on my wits , and bluffed my way round,,
This is a 15 plus fpe gun, noted in the vid, so it is "useable". :) I am shooting this good with a 16.5fpe Benjamin Titan NP .177 with the JSB diabolo exact heavy 10.34gr. pellets. Amazing .177 pellets, but not as good in a sub 12 though I am sure. I can take a "chick-a-dee" at 75 yards from a door jam. I also have that Hatsan .30 cal. break barrel making 33fpe, of which I can do the same at 75 yards, but with about 18 more fpe than the .177. Did I miss the sweet spot?
I will buy if atleast the piston and trigger is stainless steel. No more 'made with tin' air rifles for a hefty price. Here in US, we could buy a nice 22 WMR CZ for that munny. I learned my lesson from RWS and Umarex (Chinese imports just given a German name). Hope those few douchebags from UK won't spread gun control here as well.

Awesome air guns, it's the trigger that keeps them at the top of the game, if you have a good trigger, generally you end up with an accurate gun.

About to buy this exact package from Airguns of Arizona in 22 cal for squirrel pest control. Nice review
Great Video! Thanks and regards from a colleague from Germany!

the bbc could use a presenter like you on top gear
My 12 ftlb Weihrauch HW98 happily shoots tins at 90 yards all day long!
Indeed, you don't really need any more that 12 ft lbs, if you are a good marksman, you can still shoot the long distances.
That rifle needs a v mach set in it or something, i can feel the twang from here, it is a great springer through, i had 2 of them, but with the silencer upfront.
Im saving my money for one of those. Milwaukee’ best is my favorite beer
never ever break a barrel with rifle under your arm especially if you have seen someone slip and the barrel flipped shut

Nice to see some one elts shoot a springer out to 100 yards ! I did it with a Hatsan 135 in .25 some years ago ! good job !
I love my HW95 Luxus. Great video 😉👍.
For anyone looking to buy I agree with all the kudos stated in the comments except for one, the scopes branded weihrauch albeit okay they've a yellow hue that didn't work for me.
I have a HW95 and I love it !

Hi Giles, Great review! Now that your a international air gun rock star - come on up to the great Pacific Northwest for fall Turkey hunting.
Great video, I love my HW95ks. Great hunting rifle that is very easy to shoot , and get great results too . Atb

Nice show and nice host. You are doing a very good job mate. Regards from Denmark.
My next rifle I've been very interested in this real beauty I've also watched various video clips on this gun and been very fascinated.
once again a great video and a great rifle well done Giles this video says lots for hw rifles
Great review Giles. Come down to central Florida. Would be cool to see you and Steve of AEAC do a RDW gun review.
@degorovi. Ha! And let the overacting competition begin!
High, that was a good review. I like my HW95L ( Kal.22 ) with the silencer very much also. But i use a bigger scope ( 6 - 24 X 50 ). Kindly Fiete
great rifle, but will it be coming to the UK ?
I have a 95 and love it. I'm sat here in shock that Kip was able to shoot that accurately over 50 yards, free standing!! I'm wobbling like i'm in a hurricane when free standing! Did he have any tips on how he did it? Or was it just years and years of practice?
Excellent review as always mate thank you 👍🏽👍🏽
Do you have to break barrel for every shot or you break barrel once and can shoot multiple times??
Great review
Great sound I’ve just subscribed
Hw 80k outstanding gun
I'm inclined to say Giles is living in Arizona now! Hahaha Great video Giles!
What's the difference in the HW80 and the one your shooting? HW95L?Semper Fi!
Great video Giles. Love the rifle.
Missed you Giles!!!
I'm starting to think you've moved to AZ!!
My .22 97K makes that exact same twanging sound when I shoot Barracudas/Magnums. But it only does it with those pellets for some reason?
Try a little lighter pallets and the twang probably will be less.
Weihrauch Quality 👍
Thanks 😊
Great review. Which one between the hw95 and hw50s do you recommend??
Show de arma parabéns pelo video
Nice vid Giles . Ain't America great??
Gary Glitter chest hair. Good review as ever.
la carabina en general esta bien , pero la montura del visor no me gusta , pues el carril de la camara no tiene tope
like this interview a Limee doing a review on a croute air rifle is gotta be a good one
I got the 80. What makes this any better. Would like to know
Giles, what happened to Tony Belas? Is he still at Daystate? A recent vid I came across had him at MTC optics.
The group that owns daystate owns MTC and brocock. That's why you see Tony showing all 3 brands on the shows.
Hiaruga. same parent company
Smart choice with the picture. Made me try and brush it off my screen :)
Yeah, all good Giles but did you lose the airline ticket back to Blighty? Have you forgotten that sub 12 fpe is the British norm?
Do this test with diana 350 magnum in 30ftlb version .22
How much holdover at 100 yds, with hw95l??
is it just the spring diff or few washers, from the uk ver
Great vid! And nice rifle! Except that awful twang.. and it's a scope killer. :)
Are you living in America now?
waiting for a bullpup underlever with a 10shot mag...no reason fbu cant have a mag !
@3.20/3.25 you can hear the famous weihraugh "twang " After so many years they cant help that ?
How did you get your green card, l lived in the States for two years under the wire bloody difficult getting one back then ,lived on my wits , and bluffed my way round,,
This looks just like South Africa.......northern Pretoria area.
95 or 80? That's my dilemma
Fac 95 hmmm any fac 97 out there
15 ft pounds? I swear u need a licence for anything over 12
var- ock?
published on me birthday
This'll not make me popular, but I do think
12ft lbs isn't enough, around 19 to 22ft lbs is sweet spot. After that it's just not necessary..
This is a 15 plus fpe gun, noted in the vid, so it is "useable". :) I am shooting this good with a 16.5fpe Benjamin Titan NP .177 with the JSB diabolo exact heavy 10.34gr. pellets. looks like a break barrol 97k
Hatsan 95 over this
