Thx Ritchie. I got a little heavy handed with a thermostat change and broke one of the two studs off the housing body so I appreciate you showing me what to expect when the new body part comes. Good luck! And I'll be watching your later posts.
This was a excellent video and it’s was just what I needed for my 2008 ES350. I figured it was my water pump when my wife drives the car she will hear a grinding noise and the car will leak fluid, she will see a little smoke from the passenger side of the vehicle and it will try to run hot. I figure that the propeller in the water pump is bad and I need to replace the pump.m or maybe the radiator. But it was good to see a professional, well explained video with no cussing it it. Thanks again, I’ve subscribed!!
One of the best do-it-yourself mechanic videos I've seen on RUclips guy was very meticulous and explaining everything and showing everything well done if you've never done mechanic work and you watch this video you can now
You are a good man.. Thank you for showing what a big job it is to change the thermostat! I will consider having this done by a professional mechanic!!
Great vid! Quick q, I got quoted $1,200 by 3 mechanics for this 08 es350 water pump replacement. Thoughts? I’m sure if three folks say that’s what it is then it’s what it costs today. I went in for service thinking my idler pulley was faulty but was told it was water pump.
Please share for us.... That is the reasonable cost for the water pump/ serpentine/ thermostat/extras when it is done by a good mechanic? (Im talking TOYOTA parts needed? )Thank you@@!!! **** PS! Is this also the correct time to do a timing belt on this car? I don't want to do this twice!!

Probably $800 to $1000 depending on area
Great video, bro! So, just take it to a mechanic. Got it.
Hey Ritchie could you please let me know how much time did it take you in real ?
6 hours in and out takes a little longer doing video
Well done keep up the hard work you got my like and subscription
Thank you much needed thanks again
Too much work for the average Joe. Better off letting the dealer do this for about 1,400 bucks and save your knuckles
Time it takes to replace a water pump
6 hours
Don’t put silicon. You sure about that ?
Don’t put it on then there’s that one time you don’t and it leaks
I’ve seen people do this a lot easier doing less
