I’m using your video right now and it’s a big help because I thought I was going to have to remove the radiator or Atleast the fans but I pulled the radiator forward and squeeze it pass….thanks
Bro. Thank you. One video was showing this done by taking the entire radiator outm which I'm trying to avoid. But he also shows the lower bolt on the engine side that holds the bracket on and said it's a 14mm. So seeing this as a 12 has given me new confidence in my ability to do this without taking the radiator out
Thank you for showing me how to do this, without removing everything. And especially thank you for including the actual video portion of getting the alternator out by gently squeezing it through, the way you did.
thank you. Replaced my alternator + new belt by your video. Don't need to remove radiator_ i got bottom bolt with deep socket + breaker bar accessing from top
Great video. I watched a few videos and saw different options for doing this. I think yours was the only one showing the allen key to hold the pulley and it showed a better way to work it out past the radiator and fans. It doesn't look like yours had it but once I got everything unbolted and was trying to remove it, I found a wire clamp attached to the bottom bracket. Went back together well and running like normal now.
I gave my Lexus ES350 2007 to the dealership because the new battery was dead. This is a second new battery that the dealership replaced by blaming battery quality. So each time I start the car having a new battery it sounds harder and harder to start, and then someday it just does not start at all. The dealership keeps my car already for two weeks and can't identify the problem... I'm pissed off now and decided to do research and figure out what can cause the issue. I remember when I got my car from the dealership, and a few days later I heard a clinking sound out of vents when the blowing of AC got increased, so now I suspect that the serpentine belt is an issue. Also, I started remembering one day I went out in the morning to go to work, and I found all windows halfway down in my car, but it was not possible I did because I never open windows when I drive, it also tells about malfunctioning of electronics because of the serpentine belt bad. I read also that the car parasite drainage may occur if a USB adapter is connected to a cigarette lighter.
These videos that show how to change the alternator without removing the cooling fans all fail to mention that there is a wire clip attached to the alternator's lower right rear mounting bracket. These shortcut videos all magically skip over this part of the removal process. I wonder how many people cause damage to their car's wiring when yanking out the alternator using this shortcut method?
@@claudsauto This is one of the videos I watched prior to changing my alternator. Start watching it at about the 10:15 mark. ruclips.net/video/gEgh-II6HZI/видео.html NOTE: I was able to remove my alternator by only removing the cooling fans. I did not have to completely remove the radiator, just had to loosen it so that I could move it forward.
My boyfriend yanked the wires out not knowing they were there & somehow fixed them with a safety pin & everything still works well 2 years later, Thank God!
I compared all videos of "ES350 07-12 alternator replacement" and found out yours is the way to go. Thank you.

I’m sorry for a super late reply but I appreciate everyone who liked and thought this video was helpful!
I love how calm & clear you are! Thank you so much!

Thanks for the vid.. i did exactly that step by step, hardest part was bottom 14mm.
Of all the videos. This helped me the most. Thank you very much.
The best tutorial for this project. Did it for my 2009 es350. Thank you so much!!! 🙏🏽

Im not a mechanic at all, but I think you just saved me mucho dinero.! Thanks.
Nice. It is not a ground cable tho. You must unhook the battery first or that cable will arc on any grounded surface.
Changed mine out in the summer of 2018 ..not a fun job. Had to move alot of stuff
out of the way to get to it.
I am about to start for 2010 model.
I believe that’s the positive battery cable not the ground.
I followed your process and was able to change alternator, thank you for posting video very well done!!

Very good video, hope you didn't bend the AC condensor, to the point of breaking. Also very impresive camera angles. Thank you
There's some play in the referegerant lines they aren't hard mounted
God bless you
That’s not a ground cable my guy please tell everyone to disconnect their battery before they short out that cable with the ratchet by accident
If youve looked around everywhere on RUclips its true, they first tell you to disconnect the shid out of that battery
Thanks bro
You can't feed the alternator out from the bottom splash guard after remove ?
Thank you so much
You’re welcome!
That second 14mm bolt on the alternator, how did you eventually get that off?
My thoughts exactly
Near impossible. In the process of replacing mine, it SUCKS
from up top remove radiator hose and use a deep well socket
Oh man, that alternator won’t last a year.....I have learned my lesson with autozone crap.
Do you need 2 people for this job guys?
no
I love this video. Can you let me know the new alternator model number?
Hey, Gilbert, where are you? I can bring my car to you for fixing...
That work for me
you dont need rear bracket trash it !
