That was great, please do a Sci Fi 2 and FRK+ in the same type of normal waves, add a Dominator 2 in there if you have enough time. Would love some more Too Fish videos too. Thanks for this!
Great White looked way better. Period. Did he just say the SBoss had hold? Didn’t look it brah. Is he describing the session I just watched, cause his description sounds nothing like what I saw. GW looked faster and more stable.
SBoss looks slow and slidey, and that’s with 5 fins in! Not feeling it. I’ve seen Kevin rip way harder and look way faster and smoother on other boards. Does Kelly actually like his designs or are they all theoretical and just work for Kelly? My guess is, Rob’s boards are still selling better and working better too, hence the video to, “show us”, the boards. I’ve never been stoked on much of Kelly’s boards and he’s one of my favorites. They haven’t been working for him on tour, and it’s a shame he used the tour to R&D his ideas rather than to win for his fans. Rob’s boards are still the best and they all work too.
Kelly comes up with the designs and then puts them out. Doesn’t seem like he rides these in competition but if he didn’t like them why would he put them out instead of making something else? He’s also getting older and less interested in contests it seems.
@@Giggle-ing definitely more interested in $$$ and his companies. That’s fine. I don’t see lots of guys buying Kelly’s designs. Rob’s boards are far more popular.
Boss looked like it was struggling on the smaller waves like the board went flat quick with little to no momentum while the shark was looking lively in everything
@@chriscurran2001 the problem with ibolic is that it goes dead real quick when it’s not on rail while the volcanic adds weight and has better momentum in general get yourself an ibolic and you’ll be seeing things straight then
@@dkilla01 i’m not sure I understand your comment. As it was explained to me by the guy at the board shop, the Volcanic lamination is just wrapped around the Ibolic core of the board.
@@foxgd88 I’ve been really taking care of the board. Always rinsed after surf, always in a good board bag. Started seeing lots of small bubbles after ~15 sessions… only time I felt the board got super hot was when I left it on the roof rack while I was changing like for 5mins, but it’s Queensland so it get hot pretty quickly.

Raw surfing vids are where it's at. Love the concept of this series.
More coming soon with Kevin.
I really appreciate seeing how the boards go from the beginning to the end of wave. Thanks!
Seeing the paddle and takeoff is super useful, and often edited out!
"it's not that good it's not that bad" (2 seconds later)
Crazy fin setup you got going in the Boss with the twins upfront , 2 twin trailers in the back and the small nubster in the center rear
Kevin is an amazing surfer! Single sessions is a great concept too, rather than 2 weeks of cherry picked rides. Team FW for the win! 💪
Awesome concept. Excited about this series!
Genuinely great , humble, surfer who rips. Love the honest feedback on these boards

The S Boss looks way looser than I’d expect it to be with all 5 fins in. Super shreddy🤙🏽

comment is pretty spot on. too bad machado is a f-in clown. stopped buying his boards.
“Slow and slidey”…are you joking? He was moving fast AF on the S Boss and with super sharp turns. Are we watching the same thing? 😂

@@mikeuptegrove that’s actually false but Rob does well.
it was better for the review if it was a normal fin set up. thrusther/ regular quad. like everbody has
Watch the height of the spay he throws backside at 1:34!!! Incredible
Would love to try slater twins, with small nub fin trailers in the quad rears and shark fin trailer in the centre fin box...that would be fun!
In love with my Great Twin & my FRK great video for us the fans that want to compare ✨
What size you riding both?
Great video but I still have no idea which bord is which 😂
The colour should be a dead give-away 🤷♂️
Why reverse airs all the time? It's just a free throw in surfing pump and dump maneuver that ends EVERY close out....
Great White Thruster more like!

That’s exactly what I saw as well…
I saw the opposite, especially on his backhand.

@@chriscurran2001I agree. What I saw is he had way more speed and momentum on the S Boss.

Get on a Rusty Blade.
Amazing to me this dude didn’t make the ct… guy rips how’s he release that five fin set up 😮
Its a shame FireWire boards yellows and bubbles so easily. Quality needs to improve to justify the price I paid…
Look after it and don’t leave it in the sun ballie. Lots of these problems occur in PU also so you can’t complain when it’s most likely your fault

2023? 😂
Wear a leash/ leggie, have some respect for your fellow surfers! 😔
