    Try installing the injector on the loop and your ball valve in the straight line..
    Basically reverse the setup you have it will work a lot better..
    Great educational video thank you keep it up

      I'm open to the idea but you'll need to explain the hydrodynamics to me that make that way better. I've looked at it and I can't come up with why it makes enough difference to make the change. Especially when it involves having to purchase some new SS fittings...lol. Thanks so much for the engagement.

      @@neptuneclean it makes it so your rinsing through the ball valve instead of the injector,the injector orifice is tiny. You want more flow when rinsing. 👍🏻

    Ive just watched Joe Deerys video setting up his Down streamer. Move your injector to the bypass hose, you'll then get straight thru flow thru the ball valve.

    Good information. I bought the same setup and that is how the manufacturer designed it. Unfortunately I'm only using a 4gpm unit. I'm curious what you did/doing w/ the old hose reels? New ones are so expensive.

    The down stream injector uses a Venturi suction based on pressure difference on the flow through the orifice. High pressure on one side and low on the out creates the suction. The bypass equalizes pressure on both sides of the injector so you can still use your soap nozzle and not draw soap. With the equal pressure the volume is equalized as well which helps with the surface cleaners. I like the truck setup!

      Well said Van... but I think the question is what if the DSI was positioned on the "Loop" side of the by-pass loop. Would you still have the same pressure drop that you describe here?

      @vansage2691 2 года назад

      @@neptuneclean yes. That’s how I built mine. Injector in the loop off a tee with qc’s In case there’s an issue with it and the valve on the straight through.

    So awesome videos. But question, what is the purpose of building the downstream injector box if you still manually have to turn the bypass valve to get soap? Am I missing something here? because you could by a 1/2" mechanical valve and have it controlled as you did for the soap with the valve in the box. Please educate me if I am missing something.

    • @neptuneclean
      @neptuneclean  2 года назад +1

      Hey Zadok, The manual by-pass allows me to get the full pressure out of my 8gpm machine when I'm doing flatwork (running a surface cleaner on concrete). When the valve is closed, it forces the water across the downstream injector (DSI). The DSI has a small orifice that significantly reduces flow. When you combine the DSI with a large orifice (soap nozzle) on the gun, it produces a pressure drop across the DSI allowing soap to flow into the stream. If you don't have the bypass setup you'd have to manually remove the DSI to get the full power of your machine. I hope that helps.

    In your opinion what are the top 3 ways to Market your business for leads

    • @neptuneclean
      @neptuneclean  2 года назад +2

      This question is a little more complicated than it may seem. The #1 lead generating tool I use is Google ads. Having said that, you have to have somewhere to send those leads and that's a landing page or the homepage of your website. My homepage acts like a landing page in that the very first thing my customers see is an option to get an instant quote for the services they are looking for. No other service can bring you the same leads for the money. Yelp works but you have to consider the ROI. In other words, how much does each lead cost you and then how much does each job cost you. If you spend $500 on Yelp advertising and get 10 jobs out of it, each job cost you $50 in advertising cost. Hopefully you're charging more than $100 to clean a house. If you're bootstrapping a new company and want to use good old fashioned hard work, door hangers are best. Check out my video on estimate door hangers.

    Your business seems to be growing well! Wasn't it last year you just had a trailer?

    • @neptuneclean
      @neptuneclean  2 года назад +1

      Yes that's correct. I' got this truck towards the end of the last season. I basically reinvested every dollar back into the business last year. This year (2022) I'm projecting $35K month. This rig is capable of doing about $2K per day on average. I still have the trailer and I may set it up with just a downstream rig to do small house washes. That way I've got two crews bustin-it.

    Where did you get your stainless steel fittings?

  • @Calaverasprowash

    Hello Eric here do you have all of your hoses on your reels with the first 25 ft of hose being thicker? I heard you say it helps with the motor ty have a good day

    • @neptuneclean
      @neptuneclean  2 года назад

      Hey Eric... so from my 8gpm machine I run a 1/2" jumper to the downstream injector (DSI) bypass (a larger orifice DSI made for 8gpm), then another 1/2" hose from the DSI BP to the hose reel and then the first 25' of hose on my reel is 1/2". Then I step-down to a 3/8 hp 2-wire hose. If you plumb this way you put less stress on your unloader, pump, and engine. It also lowers the pump operating temp, provides a nice "slow start" when you press the gun/wand trigger, and probably go through less O-rings. Everything coming to the pump and going off the pump is "up-sized". I have a 1 1/2" supply hose from my buffer tank going through a 1 1/2" "Y" strainer then to the pump.

      Well, Sprayer Depot had 22" reels back in December so I grabbed them. I guess everyone was looking for 18". Of course the 22" are on backorder now. I've got two more on order. Should see them end of March hopefully.
