I also have a MT 09 and love it!!! I am also learning wheelies and they are really "easy" to learn on the MT. I am so happy for you and understand your joy 100%. And yes you have to turn off the traction control, otherwise the wheelie is either not allowed or canceled, that can be dangerous. And definitely not in A mode, standard is quite enough. Good luck and ride safe bro!
I'm owning a mt09 rn43, what revrange are you using? I did a few powerwheelies, but i wanna try some with the clutch any other tips then the right revrange?
If your in second then anywhere between 2.5k-6k will work. I generally try to go slower if I can though. If your practicing in a parking lot then I would suggest clutching it up in second at 3000~ish rpm. I am going to post a vid that covers this in a two days~ish.
I am selling my r6 to get the new mt09. Cant wait lol. What exhaust you got on this' clean bike. Clean wheelies aswell! I'd expect the same reactions when i'll wheelie it for the first time LOL
the big problem with figuring this out is it is too much fun and you wind up just looking for people to show the skill off too ....which is all awesome ...until its not lol
I got the same bike and want to learn to wheel so bad. I barely have the front wheel off the ground and it already feels like im gonna do a full backflip. how do I get over that fear??
So on my bike you have to be in neutral and stationary in order to turn traction control off. If I plan on doing wheelies, I’ll just leave it off otherwise I’ll set it to the lowest setting.
@@slothmoto when im riding i usually ride on a mode and traction control on 1 which is the lowest before ofd but for wheelies i think b mode is better and for riding with traction control off in general aswell
The mt07 should be able to power wheelie and clutch up very easily in first and second gear. The abs shouldn’t affect the wheelies. I am not familiar with A2 restriction. Try low speed second gear clutch ups. Just a quick in and out with the clutch while giving it a little power.
love this video :D :D :D ......great,,,,now i can´t wait to pass winter even more :D :D :D :D i finally bought MT09 this fall...bit older one 2014 ....but i genuinely love it .....and i can´t wait to test it in the good spring/summer conditions :) ..... i will be back to this video when i will give a try to my 1st wheelies :D
Nice man! I can really feel your joy, made me giggle a little 😂

😂😂😂👏👏👏 bro every time you wheelie and get excited, so did I laughed everytime becuase i know that exact feeling😂😂😂...luv my mt09
So are you in gear 1, or 2 when you pop the wheelie? How much throttle?
I’m having the issue u described of I’m clutching and idk why the wheel won’t come up

I own a 2nd gen 09 as well, I've felt 2nd gear in B mode at 40kph the most comfy, or 3rd gear in STD mode at 70kph.
Happy learning! :)
after wheelie on 7:05 the distrorted sound you made i fell of my chair laughing so hard

It just takes time. Make sure you’re not trying to learn wheelies at high speeds that makes it worse.
Subscribed 💪 absolutely love your reaction 😂👍
i really love how you enjoy that wheelie lol
do you always ride with traction control off? or just turn it off for wheelies

@@slothmoto Fun fact you can do it while in gear, just hold the clutch in. i may or may not do this lol
Did you shut down the tcs?
Yeah I turned it off
bro you sound just like me when i wheelied 😂😂
I cant even clutch up or power wheelie my MT-07... does abs and it being A2 restricted stop the wheelies?

@@slothmoto i can clutch up 1st but its to much power and i drop it straight down and low speed in 2nd just makes back wheel spin but ill try!
How are you new and able to shift though the wheelie?
Magic
