I'm Brazilian, and I always follow all videos, congratulations
Thank you so much for watching, we really appreciate it!
Cool Pete! Thanks for sharing :)
Great video king
Cheers brotha 👊🏻
Awesome tip! Thanks Pete :)
Thank you for sharing Pete!
I usually think diatonic and skip the "color tone" notes to play the pentatonic scale!
Best regards from Brazil!
You’re very welcome Eddie! Yes that’s a good way to think of it as well! I usually think diatonic when playing the 3-note-per-string system, and use this pentatonic/color-tone approach when playing in CAGED. But that’s the beauty of it, we all think of it in different ways but achieve the same thing 🤘🏻
@@PeteVinniePlay CAGED is something I don't understand completely. I know the concept, but I can't see how to apply it to my playing!
Maybe this subject is a good theme for the next video! 🤘
Cool tip!
Great video Pete. Stay safe bro and Rock On!
Thanks Stingray! 🤘🏻

Great tip, Pete! I use that a lot, mainly the 13th. My goal is sounding a little bit dorian for a short moment.
Thanks Alex! Yes the 13th is a great sound, and it’s exactly what you said that I was going for in the lesson - when structuring your phrasing primarily around minor pentatonic, but then adding in some extra notes from Dorian or Aeolian to give a little splash of colour for a short time, to give interest to the phrase.
amazing!
Thank you very much!

We have a video with André Nieri! Check it out! :)
Vocês estão ensinando algo muito legal para as pessoas e ainda tem gente que não gosta. Não sei como né.
Valeu
Pete, is your stratocaster scalloped? If so, how did you get a fender scalloped?
Greetings from Brazil
Hey man! Thanks for the comment! Yes my strat is indeed scalloped. I bought the guitar from my former guitar teacher and he had it scalloped from a luthier he knew. Although I know that you can buy Fenders that are already scalloped as well, like the Yngwie models.
Greetings from London 👊🏻
Muito bom.
React Luís Kalil, great guitar player!
Isn’t this just the Dorian mode?
Yes exactly! What I’m saying here is if you’re structuring your playing primarily around minor pentatonic, this is a certain way to think about adding some extra notes/colour-tones to give the sound from another scale/mode for a short time.
