    Since my house is on the Gulf in Pinellas County, I had to evacuate. Tues night I followed my sister’s car on I 75, we were going to stay at friend’s house in Naples. After 3 hrs of driving, we stopped at a great truck stop called Love’s. The employees were wonderful, standing out in pouring rain directing massive amt of cars waiting for gas. We then learned that Hurricane had shifted and was coming towards us, so we decided to turn around and go back home. The gas station was in Fort Meyers. Please say a prayer that all these wonderful people working at Love’s Travel Stop are safe and well. We also have not heard from our friend’s in Naples, who lost power that night.

Please get rapture ready: thank our Lord and Savior JESUS CHRIST for paying for your sins on the cross and HIS resurrection on the 3rd day!!! It must come from the bottom of your heart and don't forget that JESUS is GOD, see John 1! Please read biblical end times prophecy, listen to Dr. Ron Rhodes on end times chronology, check out 'Rapture Ready News' daily.

    It is very important to distinguish that this is Ft Myers Beach, not Ft Myers. I'm from Ft Myers and these are 2 different cities. Ft Myers Beach is directly on the Gulf of Mexico. This is where the storm surge was the worst and the devastation is catastrophic. Ft Myers was also hit very hard but I expect that most of the fatalities (in the hundreds according to the Lee County Sheriff) will be from the Ft Myers Beach, Sanibel Island, Captiva, and Bonita Beach areas. All these new homes built after this storm should be all concrete and round at the top. Only thing wood should be furniture. They built these in New Orleans after Katrina hit. They go nowhere and the only thing you lose is furniture if not put up or personal belongings, but the structure will go nowhere. Flood damage none to the floor of the house. Makes perfect cents!

    Why don't people who live in hurricane zones build there houses properly out of bricks and cement? I live in the UK and we had a 110mph storm last November and we only lost a few slates off the roof. Houses shouldn't be built with plywood and 2 x 4s.

  • @ChrisXCXCX
    @ChrisXCXCX Год назад +3

    I had a tree crush a sizeable portion of my house in Matthew. It's something you have no idea how it feels until it happens to you. I as a male have never felt so much emotion, from sad to anger. Being in the house and hearing a movie explosion with wood particles flying in the air. Running to the back and watching the ceilings fill with water bubbling then collapsing. I have a full brick home thank God or it probably would of came all the way through. That was just to start. Everyone thinks these insurance companies just come out and give you the money to fix the house. Nope. They try and rip you off and get you to front the repairs. After hiring a public adjuster the home was fixed and finished a year after the damage. I lived in this home with a tarp on the roof and had one bedroom, usable restroom for a YEAR. Went through contractors firing and hiring. It is truly a disaster. I could not imagine a full loss Or trying to be made whole afterwards. Unless you are rich can you possibly float a mortgage and a rental until the home is repaired? Check your policies most reimburse after the claim is settled. They also have a very lengthy step process before you can take them to court. This is to draw it out and get average homeowners into foreclosure before they pay out. These insurance companies try to hold out and hope you walk away. It's disgusting.

    • @crod038
      @crod038 Год назад +1

      I read every single word you wrote and agree 💯 with Insurance. My house is paid off and my insurance is very minimal that basically only covers roof damage. All repairs and Improvements have all been out of pocket but at least, I have no liens from a Mortgage or from those FHIA programs 👍
