90 percent of RUclips teachers are actually amateur level artists. Its really a shame because people get caught up in trickery and gimmicks because they give the allure of mastering painting quickly. So misinformation and bad technique spreads like wildfire through the art world. I know a lot of friends who wasted 5-10 years painting with bob ross brushes and paints.

My great grandpa painted the most incredible western style landscapes and portraits. He has painted hundreds and they range from paper size to 6 ft. and look like they belong in a museum. His paintings inspired me to become an art teacher and I’m almost done with college but I still can’t paint western style lmao nice work!

I'm trying to study your teachings and paint by sunlight everyday, but it only lasts until 4pm lol I guess it doesn't hurt that I get up at noon after struggling to paint by artificial light all night long !
