thank you! i love seeing the passion when someone takes art seriously enough to invest the time to master it AND share what they've learned. you're amazing~
You always inspire me. I know there has been a lot to overcome and new beginnings for all the wrong reasons, but you own it and move on, still creating and inspiring others. As beautiful as your paintings are, they are extensions of what is inside of you.
Michael, you are one of a kind. Nobody can do what you do. I think that you are from another planet. I sent you a painting recently, but it’s good, but not as good as you. Top shelf , Fran
I watch a lot of artist'bs videos and have picked up many hints and tips, but you are my absolute favourite artist. Thank you for all your videos. Maybe one day I will be able to show you some of my work
You’re helping me out so much!! I can’t thank you enough 😊💚. Realized recently that I’m really leaning towards photorealistic painting so I’m super grateful to learn from you.
I love your work and have your set of brushes. I wonder if you could also include in your you tube videos your color palette and how you mix the colors to get the desired shades, especially greens in landscapes. Thank you very much.
The information you share is beyond my understanding, the way you use and understand these color species is amazing. I watched very carefully how you draw the trees, I see the details of each leaf, the picture looks very real, and I feel like I am lost in the world of the picture you are painting.
It is so simple! But you need to practice for several years for stage 1 to be able to use the correct colors and values for underpainting. After all, you need to train for several years for stage 2, because drawing unevenly distributed points, such as leaves, is very difficult! ) But by the way, great work as always!
I certainly don't find it any where near as "simple" as it looks, or as "simple" as claimed. There appears to be a hair line joining up his tiny dots to create groups of leaves, and there also appears to be an impasto effect in most of the tiny dots, creating a texture tat implies a leaf in front of a couple of other leaves. Its very tricky to do, it sometimes seams to work right for a short period of time, then I loose it - either a couple of bristles on the corner of the fan brush have swapped places, or i pick up too much pain, or to little or at the wrong angle, of the oil paint become to thick after a while, and then after adding a medium, too thin! I think it must take a lot of practice and experience to get this right.
As always, I'm mesmerised watching this. I'm new to painting, only started mid Feb and I'm trying watercolour. I know this is not watercolour but would you still paint in the same way? Blocking, dark texture bits and finally the lighter bits. I know in watercolour it's lighter colours to dark so would it be similar only opposite way round? Lighter bits then darker?
i think it'll be different for watercolor i imagine. because watercolor tend to mix? i guess you can apply the darker color first..then let it dry...then apply the lighter color?
Watercolours are often translucent and so you cannot really work from dark to light. Some colours are opaque and you might have some success. You can mask out areas with such things as masking fluid or special tape to retain white highlighted areas. Gouache is a medium similar to oil and acrylic in that you could work dark to light.
The dark underpainting that he quickly put on is acrylic paint which he said had to be dry before putting in the lighter green detail. You can almost instantly dry acrylic with a hair dryer.
I was wondering, when using the no.4 fan brush I am assuming you are to work over a completely dry surface, is that right? Also, can you use some type of dryer (hair dryer for instance) to speed up the process in the interest of time? Thank you for your attention.
Outstanding as always. If you're an artist looking for great painting techniques, you've come to the right place.

Fantastic as usual. Has a wonderful relaxed way of teaching realism.
You always inspire me. I know there has been a lot to overcome and new beginnings for all the wrong reasons, but you own it and move on, still creating and inspiring others. As beautiful as your paintings are, they are extensions of what is inside of you.

From about 07:02. Some people see the light. Some people see white flowers.
Thank you so much!
quick question. how do i get my oil paint to dry like that before i go in and add detail bc it always wet and always mixes together
The dark underpainting that he quickly put on is acrylic paint which he said had to be dry before putting in the lighter green detail. You can almost instantly dry acrylic with a hair dryer.
Outstanding work 👍 sir really wait for more videos ☺️
Please how do you clean the brushes? 😣
amazing art 🖤
Nice sir... 👌
Muito bom, quero pintar assim também.

It is not necessary for surface to be dry for this to work.
