*Julie, for those folks watching that are new to I.O.D. Stamps, please show them how to sand and season their stamps before they use them to stamp with for the 1st time. Also, will you please show people who are new to using the I.O.D. Moulds how they should dust them with cornstarch before filling them with the I.O.D. paper clay to make release quick and easy? We experienced I.O.D. users know all of this, but as you know, your Channel is growing so quickly, there are so many newcomers who need this information for the most successful finished projects❣️💕🦋💜🥰* *God Bless You, Julie, and have a FANTASTIC WEEK❣️🥰😉*
@@aquilaclark814 *Aquila, in case Julie doesn't get back to you in a timely fashion (which is rare that she doesn't, LOL!) when you get your new I.O.D. Stamps, lightly sand them with 220 grit sandpaper and then take a slightly damp non-lint shop towel or equivalent and wipe off the sanding dust. This is called "seasoning" and it gives the surface of your stamps "teeth" - something for the ink to grab on to. 😊 As for the I.O.D. Moulds, always take a dry paintbrush🖌 and dust the Moulds that you plan to fill with Paper Clay first with a bit of cornstarch and tip it face down to tap out any excess. This prevents your Clay from sticking to the Mould. You don't use this step if you're filling your Moulds with Casting Resin or 100°+ Hot Glue. I.O.D. Moulds are the only Moulds that have the "micro rim" to give you a crisp edge as you use your I.O.D. Paper Clay. It is easy to fill your Moulds; some people like to flatten the backs of their Moulds with an old gift card or scraping tool, but that's not necessary. Some use a brayer. It's more or less a personal preference. (Fingers alone work just fine, too.) Then, to remove your Paper Clay, flip the Mould upside down and curve it slowly and allow gravity to release your Clay from your Mould. I recommend (and many Creators use) the Titebond Quick and Thick Glue to attach their Moulds to their projects. There are many good Creators on RUclips you can watch to learn techniques, and Julie Barnes of Julie's Designs and Signs is one of my very favorites. 😍 ❤️ 😉 Jami Ray Vintage is another Creator on RUclips you might enjoy. She and her husband, Zeb use Moulds and Stamps frequently. 😊 Enjoy this new Chapter in your crafting adventures, Aquila❣️😉*
I only love the Viridis mould and the Apothecary stamps from this release. I can't wait to see your creativity at work. You will come up with Amazing stuff as you always do. Can't wait.
The creation's are endless, please make more of these videos, they really help giving ideas for making my own style.... Keep it up we like all your videos you are so talented. ❤
Hi Julie, I am obsessed with your paint inlay project!!! Love how you faded it upward and then even more with the paint and sandpaper!! Absolutely stunning❤❤❤ Jeanne Baton Rouge 12:42
Some awesome new products, I'm sure you'll do some nice projects with them 😊 You need to check out what Yvonne over at Ginger chick rehab just did with Joie Des Rose's IOD transfer & sweet pickens milk paint in Sweet Potato 😊❤
Hi Julie! You're so funny-those are Roman numerals on that one stamp 🤣🤣 Who would think to put a transfer on knobs?? So cute! And the paint inlay-just beautiful🥰 Recently at a thrift store I bought a tall silver metal-looking stein with a handle. Then I turned it around & saw there is a Playboy bunny insignia on it! Oh well, got it anyway 🤣🤣 I do have some IOD transfers & plan on using one of them to put on this stein.
WOW! Those knob finials and those ice cream buckest are GORGEOUS!!! While watching the end,i immediately thought of putting your transfer typography on them ❤
Great video Julie! I loved the way you did the white finials. So pretty. And thanks for showing us how to use the paint inlays. I was intimidated by them before but actually may try them now!
Of course I love them all as always. I’ve never tried anything from IOD but I want to try some of the molds so bad. They are just so versatile and you can do so many different things with them. ❤
Love what you did with the new IOD collection and can't wait to see what you do with it in future videos! Using the same inlay three times on the canisters is such a great idea and I've never heard of anyone else doing that. My favorite IOD products are the molds and stamps.
Love these projects and the new releases! Stamps and transfers are probably my favorite items so far. But I’ve never used to paint inlays. Thanks for sharing. God bless
*Julie, you are so CUTE❣️ We knew you were trying to say "Roman Numerals" - but YES - sometimes ENGLISH IS ●SO HARD●‼️🤣🤣🤣 Don't feel badly - we GET IT❣️❣️❣️*
