oof im so glad you guys loved red velvet as peekaboo was actually really different as they have two sides the red side which is catchy pop music & velvet side which is r&b based and their discography is really amazing
"The girl kpop groups, you can distinctively distinguish them" YASS you get it!!! Imo girl groups (esp the most popular ones) are more versatile when it comes to concepts. They can do cute, feminine, sexy, girl crush, etc... and even within each concept the spectrum is wide e.g. Sistar sexy is different from EXID sexy, or both Blackpink and RV can do girl crush but they're so different from each other. So I don't understand when some people say that girl groups are boring like whatttt

Another group you should try is Oh My Girl! Windy Day would be my recommendation (because it's super unique, literally there's nothing just like it) but Secret Garden and Coloring Book are also good choices to watch!

I'm not a fan of Red Velvet(because I don't know all members very well), but Irene is a queen! Irene is one year oldest than me, and for me, she's the best definition of word unnie(big sister) because I want to be a woman like her and I think she inspires young girls. She's strong, she has strong opinions, she protect other girls and she thinks women can be so much more than beautiful faces/bodies and shy girls who are just a cute girls, nothing more than this.
She is inspiring other girls to be strong like her. I'm thankful that I knew Irene by news when people discovered she was reading a feminist book and some male "fans" burned her photos, cursed her(is a taboo in Korea/other countries too)... At that moment I knew she wasn't just a beautiful face with an amazing body and an talented singer, she is the future, the progress.

I really love Irene. The only thing I don’t like, in general, is how SM wants the girls (or most of their artists, really) to have their own “character” and act like it all the time. I remember when RV first debuted, Irene was scene as the goofy, outgoing but still caring leader of the group. Now she’s more known as the silent, cold beauty that anything out of her character is supposedly refreshing. The farce that some idols have to put up is kind of annoying tbh. I mean, granted Irene’s personality could have changed throughout the years as an idol, but I kind of miss when they had less restrictions on how to act. Haha I’m pretty much complaining. Anyways, Irene is Bae.

Oh my Reveluv [fandom name] heart. I love this song and there concepts! The concepts seem to always have a dark twist even there cutesy concepts like #Cookiejar and I love that . They have some good Bops. I wonder what they would think about seeing more of the velvet side in songs like Automatic, One of these nights, or Be natural, omg Be Natural May only have 4 of them but that dance in those chairs with heels! 💜❤️💜❤️ I digress. Excited to see what group you will all watch. Next?... not going to even bother requesting anymore lol you all seem to just watch what ever randomly which is cool. A few of Red Velvets concepts actually strike that balance that you mentioned, like the ‘yes we are cute’ but also the ‘we will hunt you down if we feel like’, one of my favourite MV’s and songs is Russian Roulette, bc at the start its still kinda cutesy and you don’t realise how dark it is until like halfway through the mv it’s great

Im so glad you liked the girls!! Red velvet is a group who has two very distinctive sides: the Red represents their cute fun and bubbly side, while the Velvet represents their smooth, r&b style. If youd like to see more r&b you should check out their song Automatic and Bad boy!
Also, dean is a great khip hop/r&b artist as well. Youd love his song bonnie and clyde

Red Velvet is definitely the queens of concepts (bow downs to the queens of versatility I mean they hv two different kind of sides, RED and VELVET) and also their whole discography is lit af istg. Their songs are not too mainstream like some other kpop groups out there tho. You guys should try to check out their other mvs or songs like Bad Boy, Dumb Dumb, Automatic, Be Natural, Russian Roulette, Happiness etc

peekaboo is the song that made me a reveluv.. i haven't listened to kpop since 2013 bcs yknow the stigma of listening to kpop but after high school I have a lot of free time.. i tried listening to blackpink.. so I only listen to bp but one night I played the kpop a-list on apple music and peekaboo was playing it was super catchy so I looked them up.. i watch level up.. and now.. i watch them everyday .
