+enigma4430 Red Alert 2 was more a parody of the cold war through a more cartoony Red Dawn. Still a fantastic game and for some the best in the series. Red Alert 3 was a fucking mess.
I agree. RA2 had good game-play but the theme and story sucked, in my opinion. Although Kari Wuhrer (Tanya) was smokin' hot! We won't talk about RA3...
Best music in RA1 indeed. It actually manages to get the feeling that this is a game about war, not something silliness like how the Third game was. And in terms of storytelling, RA1 was perhaps the most realistic of all the C&C's.
+Tripla K Because it's not actually on the soundtrack CD that was released way back when. The other Face the Enemy (2) was. This one comes from Frank Klepacki's collection that surfaced later elsewhere so it's somewhat rare. Best tune in the game, IMHO.
I don't understand why Westwood Studios are not included this track in Red Alert Original Soundtracks. Except great "Hell March", this music is the best track of Red Alert 1 BGM. Especially after 2:58 part is highlight of this music.
Best song in what I think was the best game I've ever played. Pure strategy, I loved the cutscenes, the music was perfect. Feels like old times, Soviet forever!
If an allies soldier failed on a mission he would be discharged and go home. If a soveit soldier failed Stalin would make sure this soldier wouldn't have a home anymore. I believe that's the feel of the track.
In RA branch you have to reduce a structure's hitpoint bar to red before being able to capture it either by using multiple engineers or through prior bombardment. I love RA and thought of RA2 to be okay. RA3 is way too cartoonish to me. I'm otherwise a Tiberium and Generals branches guy.
I remember picking up Covert Operations and being amazed at the Red Alert trailer that was on there (with this tune). There was no prior indication of RA's existence...
I remember the first time I heard this in the 4th mission of the Allies campaign- absolute epicness. You know you are about to have a ton of full-metal shit dumped on your lap as the music plays and the cutscene shows Soviet tanks rolling down the mountain pass. (That's also when I forgot to move all my rifle and rocket infantry away from where the enemy base would be. I lost everyone down there, and the enemy was left without the war factory, construction yard, and flame turrets......)
This, coupled with the battalion of newly procuded Mammoth Tanks rolling forward towards the Allied base, supported with Heavy tanks and V1 Rocket Launchers..
1991 and still kicking, the boxset of RA1, C&C and their expansions, with the Tiberian Sun DEMO & TRAILER included, is still intact without a scratch on their respective discs. never dismiss your roots, the golden days of gaming.
I think that generally, in C&C games, the Construction Yard, the War Factory, and any Power Plants are Priority Alpha on the build (defence side) / destroy (offence side) list. If you take out at least the Construction Yard and the War Factory of an enemy, they can't rebuild their base elsewhere unless they use a slew of Engineers to take over your Construction Yard. Plus MCVs are a good back-up plan to set up a new base elsewhere. Correct me if I'm wrong.
How so? I've forgotten just how much harder it can get. I think one of the equally hard ideas was sending Light and Heavy Infantry to take over structures in the PC version of Dune 2....of course, that's way earlier than the C&C series, but that's how I first started things. Haven't played any of the other games past RA2, frankly.
@jbs75718 The C&C soundtrack does not have a lot of songs that I like from Red Alert Aftermath such as 'Groundwire' and 'Wasteland', but it does have both 'Face the Enemy's.
RA's similar to Dune 2 in that regard. Except Dune 2 didn't have Engineers, so only infantry-based units could take over structures that were heavily damaged.
Its so perfect the rythm, you can hear the drums like a morse code. Also the harmony. The violins, the cellos, it evolves you like if you were in a rush striking with planes, and so on. Its unbelievable Frank Klepacki is absolute Genius, no game has powerful music as this from Frank, no Starcraft, no Warcraft.
This and Face The Enemy 2 were my favorite, they both gave you that "Cold War" feel that Red Alert 2 and 3 could not achieve...intense song, love it.
+enigma4430 Red Alert 2 was more a parody of the cold war through a more cartoony Red Dawn. Still a fantastic game and for some the best in the series.
Red Alert 3 was a fucking mess.
+enigma4430 This is the best Red Alert. ^^
I agree. RA2 had good game-play but the theme and story sucked, in my opinion. Although Kari Wuhrer (Tanya) was smokin' hot!
We won't talk about RA3...
2017
This is perhaps the best song from the first Red Alert game. Very underrated.
Hell March is my favorite
Yeah, it's a classic
Nothing 'perhaps' about it, it is easily the best.
Best music in RA1 indeed. It actually manages to get the feeling that this is a game about war, not something silliness like how the Third game was.
And in terms of storytelling, RA1 was perhaps the most realistic of all the C&C's.
Hell March and Fogger my favorite
Invokes so much emotion without speaking a word. Power, Urgency, Fear, Anticipation, and Despair. Perfect for an RTS game!
Has any Gaming Orchestra ever played this track ?
Its so needed..
Even my neighbourhood loves this song
This song sounds as if this would go perfect for a WWII documentary.
How about Red Alert Documentary?
I wonder why this track is missing in all "full game soundtrack" videos on RUclips?
It's one of the best music in the game!
kkk911XD That's exactly what I said to myself.
+Tripla K Because it's not actually on the soundtrack CD that was released way back when. The other Face the Enemy (2) was. This one comes from Frank Klepacki's collection that surfaced later elsewhere so it's somewhat rare.
Best tune in the game, IMHO.
Ohh, that makes sense (i guess).
Still, it's a shame that it doesn't included on the Soundtrack CD.
+ugowar Yeah, you said it!
yep! the trailer that went with this is also kind of rare in comparison to the hell march trailer.
ACKKHHHHHHNOWLEDGED.
I don't understand why Westwood Studios are not included this track in Red Alert Original Soundtracks. Except great "Hell March", this music is the best track of Red Alert 1 BGM. Especially after 2:58 part is highlight of this music.
2022 .... Red Alert seems to become bloody Reality
Still one of the best songs on the Red Alert 1 soundtrack. I dare say it's better in some ways than its more famous sibling "Hell March 1."
Best song in what I think was the best game I've ever played. Pure strategy, I loved the cutscenes, the music was perfect. Feels like old times, Soviet forever!
Definitely the most prominent track in RA for me. I listen to it even today while at the gym as it psyches me up big time.
No doubt this soundtrack is a masterpiece! Great quality audio. Thanks :)
This would make a good soundtrack for a submarine movie.
If an allies soldier failed on a mission he would be discharged and go home. If a soveit soldier failed Stalin would make sure this soldier wouldn't have a home anymore.
I believe that's the feel of the track.
3:15 the tears of war... that nobody wants to bare

Reinforcements have arrived.
2:00 he could have ended the song here...but he was on a roll
But from 2:26 onwards is my favourite part (apart from the very start of the track) :P
I remember picking up Covert Operations and being amazed at the Red Alert trailer that was on there (with this tune). There was no prior indication of RA's existence...
with a plane destroyed power plant
Ikr! That bomber blowing that power plant and those red lights blinking :) Great times
How come this song is only available if you play as the Soviets?
red alert 1 was serious. This song for example and cut-scenes. Red alert 2 started to be cartoonish, but acceptable. Red alert 3 was pure nonsense.
@1:28 Badger bomber releases its payload...
This is so epic O.o !!!!
Imagine the mammoth tank suddenly invented somewhere in the world, it would be total destruction.
I remember the first time I heard this in the 4th mission of the Allies campaign- absolute epicness. You know you are about to have a ton of full-metal shit dumped on your lap as the music plays and the cutscene shows Soviet tanks rolling down the mountain pass.

Thanks for the upload, awesome song, awesome game, C&C rocks!
This, coupled with the battalion of newly procuded Mammoth Tanks rolling forward towards the Allied base, supported with Heavy tanks and V1 Rocket Launchers..
damn. I am the last 80's that still play this shit.
No you're not :D
NOPE :)
1991 and still kicking, the boxset of RA1, C&C and their expansions, with the Tiberian Sun DEMO & TRAILER included, is still intact without a scratch on their respective discs.
never dismiss your roots, the golden days of gaming.
your not mate :D
Awesome track! How did you get it in high quality?
Here they come! Defend your base at all costs!!!
Definatley Soviet Руссжд

masterpiece
MUCH BETTER IN HD
I LISTEN MORE TUNES IN THIS WAY
#punisher #shield
1:28 THIS IS SPARTAAAAAAA!!!
This is Klassified!! :D
One of the tracks I preferred having on while playing or spectating AI in Red Alert..
💗🙏🏼
AWESOME!!!!!!!!!
What a beautiful song. Thanks.
Thank you for an actual HQ version

Ha ha ha ha, considering I only needed to maintain the pillboxes already built in Mission 2 for base defense, I couldn't complain too much.
Any one got this track yet? Can't seem to find a proper version of this, so far I only found a 56 kbps version :\
OMG THANK YOU!!!
RA's similar to Dune 2 in that regard. Except Dune 2 didn't have Engineers, so only infantry-based units could take over structures that were heavily damaged.
Not to mention that the engineer assault is harder to do in the RA branch than it is in the Tiberium branch......
it's too evil sounding for the allies.
Ths soundtrack is the best
Where can I download it in high quality ?
You, sir, need more fucking views than this. Because this song is pure badassery.
probably because it would not fit while playing as allies.
Miss the missile boats when this music is playing, mass destruction lol
This could be in a movie XD

ALL MUST LIKE!
yeah I like the title !
Calm and ready
2 guards
Communications room top floor
Fort Corona is here, most likely, we couldn't locate it earlier due to Signal Jammers (Signal Interruptors)
Are you suggesting that the allies aren't evil?
i play mental oemga 3.3.2
