    "slow shot can be as effective as a long attacking one" love that.... Very wise Lady, will try to book a training sess with her!

    Love it! Another great video from you & Emma. Usefully, i can watch & analyse your slo-mo sequences of Em's returns to you, as i work gradually towards the goal of not losing every game to her... 😂 Fab stuff, thanks again, Tom!

    I initially thought this video would be about reading spin to be able to not miss returns 😅 really hard to put the ball where the opponent doesn't want it when idk what spin is on the ball😬

      I have an old, old video on reading service spin. I probably do an updated video at some point. But hopefully tips in this video will help: ruclips.net/video/Tv6eSsZbLe4/видео.html

    Hi Tom. Can you bring the solution for that video of yours talking about playing against the "brick wall"? I struggle a lot when playing with this type of player.

    Good advice, but what if you can't read the spin on the serve? If you can't do that, you haven't got a chance.

    • @TomLodziak
      @TomLodziak  2 месяца назад

      Agreed. Essential to read the spin first of all.

      @@TomLodziak Any advice on that? Being unable to read and react properly to serves is the bane of my table tennis existence. :( I can loop and hit on both wings, but can't regularly get to a place in the point where I can use those abilities.

    You’re also very static and not anticipating where the ball is going. I know easier said than done but ya gotta be a bit more aggressive and more confident that your shot’s going in. 😅

    All fine assuming you can read the spin... If you can't you won't be able to dictate much...

    • @TomLodziak
      @TomLodziak  2 месяца назад +1

      True. You do need to be able to read the spin. But if you can, then thinking more strategically about how to make it hard for your opponent should bring good success.
