‘i don’t know’ is NOT popular with most people in the west because of the nature of Abrahamic religious concepts- specifically the two proselytizing religions - Christianity and Islam are prescriptive in nature - means it is closed book - one god, one holy book, one set of rules, one heaven, hell eyc. Eastern philosophies are exploratory and not prescriptive which means ‘I don’t know’ gives you a world of possibilities and exploration. This is why yogis and gurus used to go on their own journey exploring the world, cosmos etc
Well said! I grew up Catholic but now try to follow spirituality in a way that does not induce fear and guilt in just living. When I followed the Catholic church, everything was about the fear of going to hell or fear of "sinning" then feeling like guilt and suffering were the only ways to repent for these "sins". I think some religions try to base themselves in certainty because it's a way of displaying power and control. You feel like they know something you don't if they're unwavering about their beliefs. But as mentioned in this video, there's more power in the "I don't know". It's a tough lesson to realize but it's a good lesson.
I have been following Gurudev's wisdom for a quite some time now and everytime these words take me to another dimension intellectually. Gurudev very rightly says the SKY technique is the key to going beyond the intellect and it helps such profound yet simple knowledge turn into life transforming wisdom! His light shines so brightly. The message is simple. Kriya yoga, presence, allowing. It is the same message that all realized masters have conveyed. During the early parts of my journey after deconstructing my early programming, I heard Aaron Abke talk about non doership and it took me a while to fully grasp it, but it is exactly what he is conveying in his answers here. He did not do anything. He does not try to be, he just is. He is nothing and everything at the same time. He doesn't force his will or try to manifest, he trusts the divine to orchestrate all things and he is an instrument through which the music passes through and expresses. This is who we all are, but we haven't all fully realized it the way he has. Absolutely beautiful.

i’ve noticed andre tends to make a long statement of an idea then turns it into a question for the other person to speak on the answer/conclusion he just gave them. try asking more open ended questions. simplicity of questions in the moment is the skill of great interviewers.

Life is about doing what you love, or youre just wasting your time. Life is also about balance in all things, as in for example the balance between things like silence of mind, or for example pleasure for the body. Wisdom, is the offspring of life experience and time, wasting that time on meditating alone in silence during your entire lifetime will not grant you any higher wisdom then the kind most of us learned from our mother. This particular guru individual, pretending to be a wise person seem to have forgotten basic manners of how not to interupt when somebody else speaks,. You also said something very important there Andre, why is it that all so called spiritual leaders tend to talk around questions never giving any straight answers... Without answers rooted in their own individual thoughtful opinion, these "gurus" are nothing but lonely old men quoting other old men with a life experience that is avarage at best..
I had been lonely because everybody I met had only told me about "what all can go wrong!" but refuse to talk about "what can go right!" As a result, I had boxed myself up and lost all my life goals, namely, my dream education, my career ambition and marriage, romance and sex before my youth runs out. What more? Your Art of Living people are responsible for 80% of it. When I did not get campus placements and met newly employed peers in the Art of Living community during my first internship complained heavily about their company, their boss, their colleagues and work culture. I decided to start my own company because nobody was hiring me, and those who had jobs were complaining about it. So, why should I get into that mudpool? When I wanted to get a job, nobody ever told me what to expect in a job. What kind of jobs are there, what options are available and how to avail them. It's like saying "drive the car" but not explaining "what a car is, how to drive a car and what to expect while driving." When I had a girlfriend, everybody told me that she is fake, or she is going to exploit me and many more bad things and made me lose my love. When I was working on my startup thinking, I can wait to get married, I was put with this question: "Don't you want to get married? If yes, then get a job first." When I wanted to get married, everybody only told me to get a job first. THIS EVIL WORLD AND THE EVIL WELLWISHERS AROUND ME PITTED MY MARRIAGE WITH MY CAREER WITH MY EDUCATION AND I ENDED UP LOSING EVERYTHING. YOU, SRI SRI RAVISHANKAR, GAVE ME FALSE PROMISES AND DELAYED AND DESTROYED MY LIFE. FIX IT NOW. RETURN ALL MY YEARS BACK TO ME NOW. OR COMPENSATE FOR EVERYTHING I HAVE LOST.

Life is about doing what you love, or youre just wasting your time. Life is also about balance in all things, as in for example the balance between things like silence of mind, or for example pleasure for the body. Wisdom, is the offspring of life experience and time, wasting that time on meditating alone in silence during your entire lifetime will not grant you any higher wisdom then the kind most of us learned from our mother. This particular guru individual, pretending to be a wise person seem to have forgotten basic manners of how not to interupt when somebody else speaks,.
You also said something very important there Andre, why is it that all so called spiritual leaders tend to talk around questions never giving any straight answers... Without answers rooted in their own individual thoughtful opinion, these "gurus" are nothing but lonely old men quoting other old men with a life experience that is avarage at best..

I had been lonely because everybody I met had only told me about "what all can go wrong!" but refuse to talk about "what can go right!" As a result, I had boxed myself up and lost all my life goals, namely, my dream education, my career ambition and marriage, romance and sex before my youth runs out.

When I did not get campus placements and met newly employed peers in the Art of Living community during my first internship complained heavily about their company, their boss, their colleagues and work culture. I decided to start my own company because nobody was hiring me, and those who had jobs were complaining about it. So, why should I get into that mudpool?
When I wanted to get a job, nobody ever told me what to expect in a job. What kind of jobs are there, what options are available and how to avail them. It's like saying "drive the car" but not explaining "what a car is, how to drive a car and what to expect while driving."
When I had a girlfriend, everybody told me that she is fake, or she is going to exploit me and many more bad things and made me lose my love.
When I was working on my startup thinking, I can wait to get married, I was put with this question: "Don't you want to get married? If yes, then get a job first."
When I wanted to get married, everybody only told me to get a job first.
THIS EVIL WORLD AND THE EVIL WELLWISHERS AROUND ME PITTED MY MARRIAGE WITH MY CAREER WITH MY EDUCATION AND I ENDED UP LOSING EVERYTHING.
